No but I am interested in the Kia Sportage hybrid
Materially bigger than the Toyota Rav4 and no plug in for the hybrid which is great, too. Very well put together Honda as per expectations and this seems to be showing up in very impressive sales figures and even more impressive sales growth. Toyota continues to flood the market with anything and everything and is starting to look like General Motors of the 1980s. Subaru and Ford continue to surprise at somewhat entry level so how Rav4, CRV, Forester, Maverick and Tesla Model Y throw down for the rest of Calendar Year 2024 will be absolutely worth watching.
For people who like to complain, Honda car is not for you if you want ultra luxury or super sporty. Honda is like jack of all trades master to none. It's giving you a good balance of everything, no gimmicky. If you like luxury and comfort, go with Hyundai/Kia, where most of the budget goes to that area. If you don't care much about driving dynamics and just want a little bit more comfortable, go with Toyota. Also, by design, the Honda's hybrid system is better than Toyota's because the engine mostly acts as a range extender for the big motor that drives the wheels. It's the closest to driving an EV you can get with no CVT whining, no engine stress. Toyota and Mazda are going to follow the same idea with their new engine, this proves how profound this hybrid system is to the industry
Ya go buy Kia or Hyundai for 60k😂
Completely agree! Spot on
360 camera is not at all a gimmick
Genesis, Acura, and Lexus for affordable luxury. Not Kia Hyundai
I would say that’s not entirely true. My 2016 Civic had amazing features you wouldn’t see on other cars and even on the recent generation they don’t offer what my 2016 offered. Honda used to offer a lot more and ever since COVID they’ve cheapened out on some features. It’s a real shame
Two weeks ago we traded our 2022 Subaru Outback Limited for a 2025 Honda CRV EX-L. We didn't like the ridiculously huge infotainment screen in the Subaru. The sedan-like seats in the Subaru made it challenging to get our grandchildren's carseats strapped in snugly. At 5'1", I prefer the seats in the CRV; I feel that I am sitting up higher and have better visibility. The CRV has larger windows, so that makes a difference, as well. The Subaru seemed to be well-built and we had no problems with it mechanically. When we bought the Subaru in late spring 2022, we had considered Honda and Toyota. As long-time Toyota fans, we felt that they have dropped the ball in the past few years, so Toyotas were out. We'd read about oil dilution issues with Hondas, so we shied away from them, too. Now that several years have passed and we have read more encouraging news regarding Honda's 1.5 turbo, we felt comfortable purchasing one. We likely will trade it in 4-5 years, close to my retirement from teaching. So we will see. Our CRV will get regular oil changes with synthetic oil, Lucas, warm-up and and cool-down time, premium gas, and no street racing in order to take care of the engine. In my opinion, the interior is beautiful. I love the honeycomb features on the dash and the knobs. It's old school enough for us and is a nice change from the tablet-size infotainment screen in the Subaru. The CRV has more space for storing items, a deep console, and a more simple design. We added Honda roof rails, cross bars, window vent shades, and a bug shield on the front. She looks AMAZING!
😅I have had my 2024 Sport L right at a year. Great vehicle. Only disappointment, no spare tire and really has to work when going on steep mountains such as WV turnpike. Quality is excellent . CX5 Is about 8-10 miles less per gallon. My older brother has the touring edition Honda CRV and he loves his as well. This is a GREAT CAR. I honestly feel u will not be disappointed.
Even the CX-50 is 10 mpg less. And Honda blows it out of the water with a much more intuitive screen setup.
But Mazda got that 2.5 NA
If you want a high mpg soulless appliance get the Honda. I would rather have feedback while driving. Mazda 100%.
2024 Sport Hybrid owner here. I couldn't care less about the extra interior tech "features" that other competition might have, but which just serve to distract from the drive. Honda, keep investing in the superior fundamentals of the vehicles, and you'll continue to keep plenty of satisfied customers like me!
If they keep offering JUST the fundamentals, why charge more every year??
@@yamaha642 because the fundamentals keep improving. Interior "tech" is just supplemental to a vehicle's core purpose. Honda is best in class in terms of its hybrid system and safety, and that is why people buy it.
@@jefff7287 Sorry Jeff, not an excuse for not including features that the buyers would prefer and adding higher pricing. Honda is losing more of the market share every year. It's a shame that they are not listening to a lot of what the potential buyers want.
@@yamaha642CR-V sales up 11% and it is the 4th bestselling vehicle of any type, and INCREASED its market share. The evidence is on my side.
@@jefff7287 My thought are if a person is happy with their choices that's what's really important not anything else.
CR-V is on track of selling 400k units this year and sales have been up drastically every month this year, so these comments complaining mean nothing. Yes, it’s missing features but it’s still a great overall product.
I’m just surprised they haven’t been competing as hard against Toyota in terms of offering more hybrids
@@amde8554 Half of all CR-V and Accord models since '23 have been Hybrid. Plus, they're targeting 40% hybrid sales on the '25 Civic. The rest of the lineup will follow once they develop a hybrid system to replace the existing V6 models. Since it looks like the 1.5T is on its way out, I would not be surprised to see the Accord and CR-V to go hybrid-only in the coming years.
I’m glad so many people still like them, as it makes nicer vehicles stand out that much more. We have to keep boring, uncomfortable, noisy, and poorly appointed vehicles like the CR-V around so we don’t lose touch with what the lower spectrum offerings look and feel like when cross shopping.
@@Ricky-mo6mv Exactly vehicles like the Mazda CX-60 (I think is not sold in the US maybe the CX-70) are much better overall.
@@Ricky-mo6mvLol, if they were as bad as you make them out to be, they wouldn’t sale many! 😂
Hmmm, we have a 2025 CRV Hybrid Sport Touring. We absolutely love it. We drove it and the Pilot and the ride and handling were much better in the CRV. Just tonight I drove about 12 miles (round trip) to pick up dinner for the family..and while I WAS driving rather gingerly I got 56 MPG!
Excellent review as always!
I love the review, and you've got yourself a new subscriber! I purchased my 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport-L (Radiant Red Metallic) last night! My previous car was a 2017 Honda Civic EX-L, which I also loved! You are spot on about trade-in value! My Civic had over 110,000 miles but was still in top condition, which the dealer noticed. I got top dollar plus all the incentives for the trade! What a fantastic do-it-all SUV! I love mine and highly recommend anything Honda, especially this new 2025 Honda CRV Sport-L, over all the other brands!
Good review, nice suv . Still waiting for the new Tiguan R line to come out. You guys hear Anything when new civic hybrid hatchback touring trim is coming out?
Love your channel!!! I love all the contents you show for every car review especially the reliability and resale value.
Thanks so much!
Honda crv isn’t a race car neither is it a luxurious car, but it’s always gonna be there for your daily movement…
talking about work, church, store etc. your not buying it to show off. It’s a great car!!
I'll have a place to store all of my donuts soon!
We test drove the Sport L today. My wife and really liked how it drove and looked, except maybe the tail lights. Thanks guys for doing interior measurements, you guys really have your review process down pat.
We appreciate that! Good luck with your upcoming new car purchase!
Favorite part of the video, Mason saying the word “bougie”! 😊👍
I’ve had the 2023 hybrid version for over a year. It’s very reliable but man does it leave a lot to be desired with tech and features. Also, no spare tire-never again.
have you had a flat yet?
@@gosman949 yup. Had to have it leave the car overnight and have it towed. However credit where it’s due, Honda roadside assistance (comes with first 3 years/36k miles) towed it for free.
I added a spare for couple of hundred of dollars in my accord hybrid
@@paulhenry913 takes up too much space!
@@bluesdemitra38 but a real hastle. Roadside assistance could have changed the tire for you if you had a spare. Or you could have!
Perhaps a 360 camera is missed but all the other things you mentioned are non issues for me. It's just items that break in long term ownership
Well seeing as how Honda can’t even make a back window fit on the HR-V that doesn’t carry a threat of shattering upon initiating the defrost, they should definitely stay away from implementing panoramic sunroofs. That’s for sure.
Real leather seats that aren’t ventilated are also a bad scenario in warmer climates. For the money this thing costs, it’s ridiculous that it lacks so much. Even if they aren’t important or valued features to some people, the price of the vehicle should reflect what it doesn’t have.
Is the Touring version quieter? Maybe better sound insulation?
Almost purchased 2025 Crv Hybrid Touring yesterday, however, how long will hybrid last after warranty period until major repairs are required?
Coming from a Hyundai Santa Fe for the last four years the CRV hybrid is so much better in many ways. Don’t be fooled by gadgets and electronics, if you want a great vehicle that will last years buy the CRV. Yes the CRV hybrid doesn’t have a panoramic roof vented seats, but what the CRV does is give you a confident reliable car every day that in the end is worth so much then gadgets. It drives exceptionally well, better than any Hyundai. Resale value. Your Honda will be worth 4k-5k more than Kia or Hyundai then you sell it in 5 years. My Hyundai had problems with oil consumption after 75,000 miles, with Honda this shouldn’t be a problem.
what's going on - my new favorite auto review channel
Thank you!
Wow! 41” of rear seat leg room is comparable to luxury size cars prior to downsizing in the 1970s when a Buick Electra was 225” long. 98s and Sedan DeVilles and Town Car sedans had 41” of rear seat legroom. It’s equivalent to front seat legroom. Quite an accomplishment in a compact SUV crossover.
I love it!
Do people really care that much about panoramic roofs and ventilated seats, especially for a Honda?
No, which is why you see these things everywhere. People here just like to hear themselves complain.
Not at all. In fact, I prefer the moonroof because it is just the right amount of light in the vehicle.
They are becoming increasingly more sought after
Yes. And they get a Toyota 😊
@@hamidmghazi let me guess, they pay $4k - $8k more 🤗
Honda as a company has been with
stunted growth for the last 10 years
They did a good job with the E-CVT, with the simulated shift points eliminating some of the incessant droning that other CVT vehicles have. I'm curious to see what the new RAV-4 is going to bring to the table. Rumors are, it's coming out later this year, and it will likely have the same drivetrain as the new Camry.
Having a hydraulic hood is kinda cool for a compact honda. My moms highlander doesnt have it!
My 2011 Venza has almost all the same features, space, bigger rims stock, panoramic moonroof, and half the price. Pretty sure it was cheaper when new too
Love your car video
I just bought a 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring and I love it!
Congrats on your new CR-V!
My 2024 Honda CRV hybrid L gets 41 to 42 mpg on the road and in town. Thrilled about that but not thrilled about no spare and loud engine noise going up steep hills.
Does the hybrid model work only in electric mode, like Toyota and Lexus?
Definitely agree on the air ball. There are a ton of features missing on this car. Bizarre. The lack of rear sunshades is the biggest "huh?" for me. They're on Pilots and Odysseys I know that (own one), why on Earth wouldn't they be on the CR-V? Rogue's in the same segment and has them...
Why incadecent 💡? Is led that much more expansive under mass production? 3:23
I have a 2024 hybrid sport touring. There are no significant changes in the 2025 lineup. Looks like we hit the peak of the CRV.
all that's ok - 5/8/2024- I bought a new 2024 and at 800 miles the computer system seemed to lock up- took it in and a stuck sensor seemed to have caused the problem- everything ok now!!
The crv not having a spare is a huge mistake. I went with the RAV4 because it does have a spare. I love the look and feel of the CRV but I couldn't stand knowing I would have to wait for a tow truck if I ruptured a tire.
Features, features, features. People whining about features. These dudes just had a hanudaey bought back by the dealer. But hey, it had alotta features. See how that turned out.
haha nanananan!
While I certainly agree about Hyundai/Kia are all flash and are junk. Honda and Toyota are definitely not trying to add in simple yet easy features while asking for more money. That’s not good when you have $40k+ pricing and maintenance costs. It’s not going to wow you when you get cut backs on things priced similarly
The fact this thing doesn’t have a spare is a major issue. I think that’s nuts for any car though.
@@vjmtz A spare tire just adds weight. Just get AAA!
Editing as I think I was too harsh. Sorry. But the deal is, this is a Honda CR-V….not a Ferrari. A spare tire isn’t just a great emergency necessity, but one that costs them nothing to add let alone doesn’t even remotely impact MPG or weight.
A spare donut tire is at most 60lbs tops. Not even. You’re spending 40k on a cSUV without a simple, cheap, rational item that is now considered a luxury by them. Not only that, there isn’t even a place to put a spare even if you wanted to buy one yourself. It’s why you see posts of people online strapping a tire to their roof or having one scruff up and take space in their cargo space.
It shouldn’t be a requirement to have AAA, another expense in order to have peace of mind on an expensive purchase. I can easily swap a tire out in 10 mins and be on the road while a person waits 1hr or more on a AAA person to do it for them at cost. Honda not even allowing you the space for such storage is just bad design in my opinion. Fine, don’t give me a spare on the 40k car you allowed me to spend on plus interest, but don’t disallow me the luxury of being able to store one conveniently is ridiculous.
@@vjmtz I'm not bothered by your wording. You have your view and I have mine. In an era of global warming literally getting out of control, if not having a spare tire means more room to shift to battery tech and ultimately EVs for everyone, I will argue in favor of that ad infinitum.
Is the Sport L come with wireless Apple Play?
Excellent review. I just wish they made the interior a little better, feels like its still using previous Honda gen interior and not the newest Honda interior.
I think what a lot of people miss about features is Honda wants you to go to their Acura brand for more flashy things. I so far have decided not to because I do not want to pay for premium fuel.
its a great product and is also definitely not a luxurious or one of the most fun cars you can have, but if value is the key factor you cant go wrong with honda
Question: How are the driving dynamics? The RAV4 is great but steering is light and the suspension floaty. Turning hard results in everything flying. My old CX5 is more planted through turns.
CR-V has a more dynamic feel and better steering than the RAV4. Not quite as agile as the CX-5 though.
My only complaint is that they don’t offer a 360 degree camera. I also have a BMW and this is what I love the most. 😂.
I am waiting to see the redesign on the RAV4. It is disappointing that Honda doesn't have nearly all of the possible creature features that the competition has.
I have they hurry with RAV4 redesign. I'm waiting
What kills me about this car is how I can think it looks fine in some angles, and horribly long nosed in others.
I like the style a lot but it needs ventilated seats and maybe a little more power.Im holding out for the next Gen Rav.
I heard that the 2027 model is supposed to get an update
One of the best Hybrid SUV on the market
Dominican young men favorite SUV. Super popular in my country the Dominican Republic lol
I have this exact same car, trim, color and everything but the 2024 model year. There is nothing new except the color from what I heard. Mine is Lunar Silver and the 2025 is called Solar Silver. Cannot tell from the video any obvious color difference but I will defer that to someone else to compare.
To be picky, I would call the exhaust outlets parallelograms not trapezoids.
Can you discuss some smaller vehicles too like the HRV etc
We have reviews for the HR-V, Civic etc on the channel as well for you to check out 👍
I think these cars are far more popular in the US than they are in the U.K. - it’s a bit of a fringe product here. There are better options from other makers…..
Si a uno se acustunbra a la Dinámica de Honda uno no tiene Problema es Simple todos los Cunductores de honda que saben y entinden estaremos 😂Contento Cunduciendo un honda saludos y cuídense 😊
I live in a very dry dusty area and thinking about detailing those interior honeycomb vents gives me anxiety
I'll bet a Swiffer will take care of that dust!
25:50 resell for my 23 CRV hybrid sport with 15k miles $23000.
I didn’t see any changes from the 2024 CRV. Did I miss something? Usually a manufacturer introduces a new model year early when there are major changes. In this case there are no changes. Why the early introduction?
I think he was using that 'introduction' in reference to the plug- in hydrogen fuel cell variant of the CRV line in the beginning of the video, but it's only exclusive for the California market.
Outrageous prices honda was never like that... now it is cheaper to by other companies.... 😮
You should do a comparison CRV vs Passport
Ah man, the Passport is so gross looking. At least the exterior of the CR-V is quite attractive now.
i have a 2020 CRV EXL. The dash vent is peeling off, mud flap hanging, engine is too loud and weak (I have to turn off eco driving if im goong up the hill), just yesterday the screen went black twice for no reason. It's a decent car, but I'm not crazy about it.
The exterior wheel cladding is misaligned and peeling off on the current model featured in Sam Car Legion’s review.
Damn, get rid of it while it’s still worth something
this or outback XT?
Yo saque hayer la la mis. Honda CR,V 2025 Y estoy encantado con mi nuevo juguete 😊
It’s A shame good looking car but lacks features that the competition gives . Still a no go for me for another Honda
Those Hondas are still leaving things out. I'd rather get a cx9.
Still no fog lights?
Very few car manufactures offer them anymore. You can still get them on most Subarus.
you can blame the modern LED headlamps for that now, prob. taking a note from Tesla.
The CR-V should be getting the 12 inch screen for its refresh
No panoramic moonroof in 2025 is wild
I could have sworn I noticed this hydrogen CRV thing driving down some road in CA.
The hybrid is more reliable than the 1.5 turbo 💯
The thing is it doesn’t make sense. Like why did they cheap out so much. A top trim accord for a thousand less gives you everything. They really missed the opportunity here since not everyone needs a massive 60k pilot.
They do it because people still buy them. Honda probably has one of the largest profit margins given how much they skimp out. And they don’t even have a design team that they need to provide compensation for.
Black black i miss a little color in the intrerior
It is so lame to not have panoramic sunroof where Europe top trim has. Europe also have PHEV which is not available here in US
honda still sells cars here? can't remember when i saw the last one. only a few from 2010+
I thought you guys were pulling a Tom Voelk "evil twins" thing then I realized they are two of you
Hahaha
Why even have a new version every year. It’s not a phone that needs constant updates. In any case honda crv is still reliable and is a good family car but expensive compared to competitors
Give me a spare tire, quiet cabin and comfortable seats and I will buy one now.
Just test drove one, I found it very quiet and comfortable. 2 out of 3 maybe?
Just buy a spare and leave it in the back.
One year maintenance/one oil change on the 25s.
People I have talked too including myself have new 24 Hondas I have a crv and we are getting terrible milage needless to say alot of us won't be returning, very disappointing cause I wanted to like this vehicle
45ish in the city for me. FWD Sport L. 35ish at 70-75mph. I'm happy.
Which CRV is this
Home link? Exact tire pressure? parking sensors? Junk GPS?
Profile looking like an MDX
The fact they are still using incandescent bulbs on the turn signals in 2025 is ridiculous.
Good review...thanks. Sooooo typical for Honda. Great engineering, class-leading features, etc. But the interior... black! Again. C'mon, Honda, it's not 1988 any more. Have you seen the beautiful interiors from Mazda, Nissan and others? Would a little color kill you?
I just test drove a 2024 with gray seats.
No ventilated front seats, no heated rear seats, no rear windows manual shade. CRV still lags behind RAV4. What's the improvement in 25 model over 24. Not interested in CRV.
We shopped the 2024 CRV a couple of months ago. Don't need the extra luxuries like a pano roof or ventilated seats. But COMFORTABLE seats were a requirement, and the CR-V failed on that score. Just NOT comfortable to sit in. And when you add to the loudness of the engine, it's just a penalty box (though a LARGE penalty box). And expensive!! We passed on it & bought something else, a Tucson Hybrid.
I knew it was the CR-V that had people complaining about the seats. Yeah, anyone who test drives the CR-V and then does the same with a Tucson will inevitably end up choosing the Tucson. The only reason they wouldn’t is because they are hung up on the proposed reliability factor which seems to be fading regardless.
I've always had Hondas.........switched however, when you can no longer get a red CRV with a black leather interior. Makes no sense to me....... for 40k a model, I should be able to obtain the interior color I want.
your head always looks so small in those SUVs, its like toddler size
The short answer is there are no new features and an increase in price. Also the sticky steering issue present for years in the civics has been showing up on the 23s and 24s.
Why soooo loud inside? NVH😢....It would sooo much better if they put more sound deadening and decrease hp if they are trying to save money
Surprised to hear that too. I would have expected it to be quieter than the Rav4 Hybrid since others stated that the CRV Hybrid feels a bit more premium than the Rav4 Hybrid.
I’m curious to see how the Hydrogen cells resell after the lease end.
Lord only knows what happens in California.

Who casts Scott stitching on the chair. Just say whether the seat is soft, hard, comfortable or not.
All black interior. Ground-breaking. 🙄 Honda, please give us a two-tone option. And seriously, provide some padding for one’s knee on the center console.
So that seat belt is going to be in the way when the seats are down?? Tf
I've had a CRV since 2004; exterior color Lunar silver metallic with grey cloth interior. I live in southwest Florida. Honda no longer offers a grey interior on CRV with silver exterior, why? A black interior in southwest Florida makes for awful comfort.
Is FART still in the VIN?? 🤪
I'm surprise that they don't have a spare tire/donut in the Honda 2025...
It looks a little bit better for the 2025 model!!
what? There are no changes!
It’s the exact same as the 2023/2024 bro
Too bad they dumped so many engineering resources into the ridiculously low volume production hydrogen version (sold only in 1 state) instead of figuring out how to include a spare tire in their hybrids, and get the towing capacity up from 1000 lbs (1500 in the non-hybrid, which also has a spare tire) to something more class competitive. And redesigning the front end and still did not add fog lights. Honda: putting the lower case "U" in "SUV". I have over 30 years of owning and driving various Honda cars, but in the SUV arena, theirs are still a hard "pass".
Yup, definitely in the never category.
I just can't get over the honey comb vents and the cheap looking knobs.
I HATE the black wheels. It really lacks features too. No panoramic camera or heads up display. A terrible passenger seat. It was the best driving car we tried, but we went with a Toyota Venza and love it!
Of course, the Venza is based on the Highlander. More of everything, but it costs more. You get what you pay for.
