Please test the new PHEV Sorento.
My honest opinion please add price tags. Price is something you put under consideration for comparisons
Drives me nuts how honda wins..parents had a 2020 crv and was the worst vehicle I have ever drove 0 steering input and noisiest interior ever..think my first car 87 k car was quieter
Reliability reliability reliability
These people don’t take long term ownership into equation. The reason the Toyota is a best seller is because it has better resale value and will last past 3 years without major issues.
Yep these tests are a joke
Every car will last for more than 3 years. Even bmws can last 5-6 years minimum
The CR-V is the best seller in this segment. And it's also extremely reliable.
People who only consider Toyota brand vehicles either have wild imaginations about how much time people in 'lesser' brands spend at the mechanic's shop or were all very unlucky and owned some truly horrrid Malaise era junkers. Some Toyota vehicles have been class leading or class competitive but some at times have not been.
For all the supposed enthusiasm for owning the same care for 15 years because it's so reliable, there have been a LOT of Toyotas that I wouldn't want to own for 5 years let alone 15. These include the Toyota Corolla back when it had a 3 or 4 speed automatic transmission years after other cars moved onto 6 speeds. Or the early-mid 2000's Tacoma's which were reliable but pretty horrid to drive.
Personally I've owned 4 GM cars, 1 Volkswagen, 2 Nissans, 1 Ford, and 1 Subaru and none of them were so unreliable that I would even consider the reliability to be a big factor in choosing to buy or not buy the same brand again. Most of them were with me past 100K miles and none were ditched early because of mechanical issues. Would all of them have been effortless to keep running to 300K miles? Probably not, but honestly, when I get into my mother's 260K mile old Camry I mostly feel like I'm in an old car with outdated crash standards, a floaty floppy ride and a stereo with a CD player that hasn't worked in 150K miles. It hardly makes me green with envy.
@@ytsux9259 They sold 435k RAV4 vs 361k in 2023 according to Google. CRV is an excellent suv to buy and own long term.
Kia/Hyundai if you want more technology, CRV/Rav4 if you want more reliability. IDK why people are arguing over CRV/Rav4.. Both are very reliable and it's literally up to personal preference which one you want.
This has to be the best intro Edmunds has done in a while.
The RAV4 is simply not competitive right now, wait for the remodel. BTW for those raving about Toyota's reliability. The CRV is one of the most reliable cars ever made.
Won’t help. The remodel RAV4 is already uncompetitive and already outclassed by the competition

Toyota is years ahead of Honda in Hybrid Technology, this is a poor review!
The Rav is the top selling in the world for a reason, maybe the general public prefer the older tech stuff
The general public prefer a car they can take across the country, with their family and know that it can make it without problems.
Edmunds list all my respect with this review. To talk about engine sound as “driving score”? Plus, the CRVs engine sound is OBJECTIVELY far worse!!! The ONLY things the Rav4 loses on is cabin tech (may be a plus, actually) and rear leg room.
To ignore actual performance, reliability and resale value is a sin in my book, and no, the Sportage doesn’t actually drive better than the Rav4.,
Very nice video … how many kilometers with a full tank on Kia Sportage Hybrid 230 ( approximatively ) ? Thanks😊
How does it make sense to compare a lower trim RAV4 with higher trims on the Honda and Kia?
The Kool-Aid intro was enough for me to subscribe, the rest was awesome too, but the intro was the gravy.
Agree with Edmunds the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson have the most to offer in compact Hybrid SUV categories. Consumer reports rates the Tucson as the top compact HEV SUV, and the Kia Sportage 2nd best in the PHEV category.
Good luck if you buy a Hyundai/KIA vehicle, as you will need it.
Yet consumers still continue to choose the RAV4 over both despite all the "rave" reviews
@@keeprisingmb because of old stigma that's tight to kia/Hyundai here in US. In Europe they love kia/Hyundai. They build much better. And people choose toyota because of the only thing they do good is make cheap but reliable cars
I still wouldntbuy one being a mechanic for 24 years nisan is another one
Kia it’s good for 60000 miles then all hell bracke losse reliability sucks edmunds know nothing about it
How about reliability and long-term ownership. That also is a very important category in my opinion
• Kia has issues - especially engine based on history
• Toyota with it's buggy software - especially the mobile app + engine noise is harsh
• Honda is noisy - road noise and steering feedback is just ok
Pick what you can live by
Im guessing ur a toyota fan boy lol
@@chevyss934 Kiichiro Toyoda: If you build a good car, they will come back again.
@tinleo3339 ive owned toyotas and i dont have a desire to buy another 1 reliability is not what everyone wants unless u want it for long term then maybe i can see that but i wasnt to impressed with it toyota is like the new buick taylored to old folks nothing wrong there but its not appealing to me as a brand
@@chevyss934 agree......i love honda and i wanted to see what owning a toyota was like soooooo i bought three over the years and the result was they are reliable as hell BUT THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORING!!!!!!!!!!! I sold two and just gave one to the wife and i went back to my FUN car maker HONDA!!!!........ that's my opinion and i don't regret going back
If MPG's are your ONLY concern, then certainly you should buy the RAV4. But all of these rigs will be pretty reliable. And not everyone wants that noisy, cheapo Toyota interior or the CVT. The Kia and the Honda have a physical connection to the rear wheels, which will make them superior in snowy weather or light off roading. That's why their MPG's aren't as good. If I'm driving a car for 10 years or so, I want to enjoy the interior and features as well. The Toyota just doesn't cut it in that regard. Still, to each his own. Lots of good in all these cars.
Well said.
Couldn't have said it better, if you're driving a lot, you need to have a nice interior to enjoy. Just traded in my 2023 rav 4 hybrid for a 2023 Sportage Hybrid sx-prestige.... OMG, what a difference!
@@MrCougar56My office only buys Hyundai/KIA products for company vehicles. I find the quality to really only be skin deep if I’m being honest. All these cars have their faults, but after owning several cars to include Toyotas, KIAs, Hondas, Acuras, BMW’s, Tesla, and Saab. I found that Out of all those companies, it is actually Toyota (and Saab) that sweat the details the most. Best car I’ve ever owned was my 2019 Toyota C-HR Limited. Yeah the engine sounded like absolute shit at WOT. Didn’t matter, the car was built like a tank. No paint fading or chips after 3 years, no squeaks or rattles after 3 years, and unmatched dealer service.
If you want a cool design, flashy interior, and inevitable electronic gremlins down the road, 1000% get the KIA. If you want a nice classy design and decent driving manners, get the Honda. If you want an appliance that you can beat on, get the RAV-4.
I daily a 2014 BMW 328d Sport Wagon that gets 48mpg so I’d pick neither of these three. Actually the Corolla Cross Hybrid maybe the sneaky winner here.
If you want a more luxurious Toyota you just pay a bit more for the Lexus equivalent.
Agree Rav. Is overrated and overpriced. Lousy ride and interior is ancient….i assume they will upgrade display in 25 as they are finally doing with Camry.
Most of the categories seem subjective except for the mile per gallon test. This is the most important if you're buying a hybrid.
Love the Kool Aid thing at the end :)
You don’t need to screw with the air con and stereo touch…..because stereo is steering wheel controlled so just leave the touch part in air con mode.
The 2025 Kia Sportage will be even better.
Also not mentioned - The Sportage Hybrid has an actual spare tire rather than a (mostly) useless tire repair kit. Interestingly, the Hyundai Tucson does not.
Missing from this review is reliability. I just recently purchased a Honda CR-V Sport-L. Honda reliability was a contributing factor. Both Toyota and Honda do well in this category. Not sure about the Kia. I avoided the Rav 4 due to the redesign age. Buying a 5yr old design did not make sense. Great review.
Toyota Hybrid technology is superior to Honda!
Hyundai and kia rate higher in reliability than honda by a lot according to JD power.
With my CR-V Sport Touring, I could get 40 MPG on a 55-mph-limit highway at 65°F and 55 MPH. At least, that's what the monitor says.
Now, lets test reliability.
Spot on!
Don’t even bother with the Kia 😂
Every cars reliable you know
Kia Hyundai would have gone out of business a long time ago if they couldn’t make a reliable car
Toyota will likely still be the best. Honda has slipped in recent year but are okay. Hyundai/KIA have improved a lot since their Theta engine fiasco. Probably a tie between Honda and KIA when it comes to gas engines. Hybrid engines are anyones guess since both are relatively new still
Kia is up there. I have Toyota, Mazda, and a Kia between 2017 and 2020. Kia's are well made and reliability of these cars are not going to be an issue until 12, 15 years into ownership and even then Kia is up there in reliability. The thing that Hyundai and Kia does that no other brands have done is to IMPROVE at every new generation of their models. The 2019-20 models are significantly better than 2014-17 models. The 21-24 models are significantly better than the previous models. Their warranty puts their money where their mouth is. The current 24 models are top 3, or 4 in reliability and the difference is miniscule.
Features features features….but at the end of the day if it was their own money. They’ll all get the RAV4
Japan is one of the most culturally analog developed country in the world. They love good old school conservative tech. It shows in their cars. Korea is one of the most trend driven culture. It shows in their products. Both have pros and cons. We as customers have choices, which is good thing in my opinion. Best car I ever had was 98 Corolla, but it was boring as hell.
Only Kia has modern contemporary interior and it is a much better ride.
Im getting 41mpg on the highway in my NON hybrid rav4. I love how fuel Efficient these cars are
I think it would have been nice to include the Tucson facelift. It has received some substantial interior and tech changes that could change the rankings. Wireless carplay and android auto is also included on the facelift. Hope to see it being tested and compared to the Sportage at some point.
I have a 2007 Honda civic hybrid, no sound when driving and still is an amazing car 16 yrs later. So to see that the new suv of 2024 is noisy on the road is sad. I also looked at the wheel and sat in one and found the bottom shape where ones hands go is sharp edged. The leather covering does not scoop up to the inner bar and is very uncomfortable.
Not everyone wants the interior and exterior of their vehicles to look like a damn UFO. Also who else has noticed that when reviewers want one car to win and it lacks buttons on the inside, they spin that to make it seem as if buttons are old fashioned, but if they want a car to win and it has buttons, they'll spin that to be the safer, more convenient option? They'll just change the way they rate things to make their preferred choice the supposedly better option.
what about reliability and resale
The CR-V wins because I have a 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring and it's the best -seller in the segment. I routinely get 40mpg on average; the vehicle is extra smooth and seamless; the sportiest to drive; it looks the nicest; etc.
I am also very happy with my crv hybrid touring.its my third crv back to back never had any issues . these vehicles r long last, reliable. No comparison with kia hundai .
Sorry to pop your bubble but the Rav4 is the best selling crossover in the US.
The RAV4 is the best-seller actually. It is the best-selling non-truck vehicle in North America
The CRV is missing many features which the competition offers, such as ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360 degree camera.
The RAV4 will smoke that CRV in 0-60, 0-60, 1/4m and 1/2m, PLUS deliver a much higher MPG.
My Sportage hybrid is awesome. No complaints at all and loved the tech.
It's interesting that you use a lower trim model and a year older model for the Toyota. The 2024 has much better multimedia features with wireless carplay and a much bigger screen. The overall global sales figures disagree with your scores. Your fuel costs should have been extrapolated to a full year of driving to give a better cost of ownership. A 7mpg difference is a significant difference over the life of ownership. I would argue that this is a key factor that was overlooked. I would love to see what the five year trade values of these vehicles would be as well.
Sales doesn’t mean a car is better than the other
A rav4 outsells a cx5 and gv70 but does that make the RAV4 better looking more luxurious or better driving? No
@@naveenthemachineit doesn’t mean one vehicle is inherently better than another, but it does indicate what people generally prefer if it’s a continued sales trend.
@@ALMX5DP McDonald's sells more food than the next 2 or3 fast food chains combined but it's not necessarily because the food is better. It's safe, it's predictable and they are in every town. Much of this applies to Toyota also. I eat at McDonald's and I at least consider Toyota ownership but getting excited about the 10% better trade in I might get from one vs the other means a lot less to me than the 5 or so years I have to spend enduring/enjoying the vehicle.
In some way I admire people who have such commitment to being sensible that they always, unfailingly make the safest most well reasoned choices possible but darn it sometimes I get real tired of McDonald's!

We bought the CRV because the interior is simple, uncomplicated and has minimal push buttons.
Peki bu araçlardan hangisi bekleneni verebilir sağlamlık ve kalite.
Toyota RAV4 2023? Maybe all the 2024s are sold? They are all nice vehicles, but I had 2003 Toyota Highlander 265,000 miles for 16 years and still have 2006 Tundra SR5 4wd 225,000 miles. That’s why I have a 2024 RAV4 hybrid limited, something Edmunds couldn’t come up with for this test. My mistake was selling the 2003 Highlander, still ran perfectly. You actually summed up a problem inadvertently, everyone wants to be entertained in a vehicle instead of just driving it safely.
Gas mileage is why I’d buy a hybrid. Must have a spare tire though.
I keep seeing videos comparing a lower spec RAV4 against higher spec cars from other manufacturers.
Is that because there aren’t any higher spec review models available from Toyota? It seems unfair not to compare like for like.
Also, the RAV4 definitely has reclining seats in the back.
Not covering acceleration was a huge miss. Power and mpg’s both important in value.
Driving the CRV Tourning. I’m currently getting 45 MPG. It’s a nice car.
Hybrid?
@@JSVKK yes
Toyota sells a lot of Rav4s based off of their reliability and reputation. TBH, a flashy interior is nice and all, but not really a deal breaker for me. If I wanted flashy in this price range, I would probably look at the Mazda CX-5. Korean cars have come a long way, but I don't think Kia's resale value is all that great compared to Honda and Toyota.
I need buy a car right now still confuse which one is better for me ???? I like Honda or Toyota 🤔🤔🤔
Hyundai and Kia's parallel hybrid systems have a transmission, and due to the low power of the motor, the transition of power between the engine and the motor is frequent. This can cause the lock-up clutch, which connects this flow, could be wear out in short milage and fail. The repair costs could be very high. The advantages of Hyundai&Kia lie in its stylish exterior and luxurious interior materials. For those who prefer a sturdy and reliable car, should think twice before buy Hyundai&Kia's hybrid.
Honda also has same lock up cltuch but the motor has great power to cover most range of driving , it leads to minimun engage of engine power so could be better reliability than Hyundai&Kia.
Also you 'coul' be an idiot just because you are justifying your preferences with putting the word could on issues which never happened to KIA sportage 😂😂
Did Edmunds check spare tires and towing capacity? I know that the CRV hybrids only tow 1000 lbs, and have no spare tire of any kind. Instead they give you a repair kit, which for anything other than a small puncture is useless. Better hope you have cell phone reception if you gash a sidewall and have to call for a tow. And, if it's after hours at the tire shop, you're dead in the water until the shop opens. Toyota has a spare and tows 1750. Have not checked on the Kia. I'd be interested in the CRV if it had more towing and a spare. Toyota gets expensive fast. Hard to find many on the lot that don't have the option packages stacked on, so the XLE Premiums in my region are running in the 42-43K range MSRP. In Consumer Reports, the Kia isn't bad, although slightly below the Toyota and Honda. As noted, the RAV4 is due for a revised model soon.
I don't plan on towing with my Sportage, but it does have a compact spare tire, which is one of the reasons why I bought it. Ironically, the Tucson does not.
@@Briguy1027 Thanks. Good to know that detail. Who would have thought that? I thought they were basically twins. I don't plan on towing anything big - just occasional short trips with my utility trailer to haul yard debris. My trailer isn't light, so I don't load too heavy for my current ride, which has 1500 lbs towing. The gas only powered CRV will tow 1500 lbs and does have a spare tire. I guess they had to eat the spare tirewell space with hybrid hardware. In general SUV's are morphing towards tall AWD sedans vs the "all weather capable" UTILITY vehicles they started out as. Can't even get fog lights on some of them now. Part of the motivation for buying an SUV vs sedan is the "all-weather capability", and in my book, that ought to include fog lights.
Why you concern about drag race performance for family car ?!!! Be reasonable!!!
I can't believe there isn't a drag race...
The Rav4 hybrid would win that race hands down!
It may depend on how long you live, because after 100,000 miles the Toyota will likely be the most reliable and least in need of major repairs.
It WOULDA been FUN if y'all did a DRAG RACE, 0 - 60, 1/4 mi test. of course we all want efficiency but a lil FUN NEVER HURT ANYONE EXCEPT 4 EDMUNDS. It's hard to give this review a THUMBS UP.
The Kia would win.
Throttle house probs did this a year ago
I like the CRV Sport L. The only thing i dislike with it is the black ceiling. It makes the inside so dark like a cave.
Yeah, this was clearly designed with a sunroof in mind - panoramic or not.
Honestly, i love all of them, but this is a little bit biased for toyota regarding interior and technology. You didnt go to xse tech package or limited trim. Regarding the new 10.5 inch infotainment screen and panoramic display. Is just a ugh. So good.😅 in my opinion.
Look who’s raising the bar. 🤷🏻 16:57
Music too loud
what about insurance price. arent the Kia much more to insure?
The Kia has wireless car play, Android auto in the smaller screen. Newer vehicles with the larger screens, 2025 models get out as well.
that's right, the Tucson has one too.
Xtrail/Rogue????
Kia ❤❤❤
wrong comprasion, both rav4 and crv are bigger than Sportage. Better to compare Sportage with Tucson, 3008, C5 aircross so on. RAV4,CRV,Tiguan,Xtrail,Outlander they are in same segment, fyi :)
Thanks for keeping the rav4 in a bad light, only means less competition for us on dealerships. There is a logical reason why its always sold out. 😊
When I'm buying a hybrid my main priority is to get the best possible fuel economy and when I buy a car in general my main priority is reliability/longevity (I keep my cars for 10+ years), so my top pick is the RAV4 followed by the CR-V. On the other hand, I wouldn't buy this or any other Kia/Hyundai product since they don't last nearly as long as either Toyota or Honda and they have experienced many quality issues, some of which pretty serious, over the past few years.
Hyundai and KIA reliability is better than both Toyota and Honda.
@@darkivaz-aaa1145 LOL

I don't think it is a great comparison when you are using a 2023 Toyota vs. a 2024 Honda and Kia. If you had waited for the 2024 Toyota to come out that would have been more helpful.
There's no difference between the 2023 and 2024 Toyota RAV4
@adede233 They introduced a 12.5 inch "gauge cluster "screen and a 10.5 in infotainment display in 2024 on certain trims. Looks way better than the 23s and includes wireless carply/auto.

The hybrid option for these vehicles is not with the upgrade, you have to pay thousands more get extra 10-15 MPGs
You also get better (and in the case of the hybrid vs non hybrid RAV 4, quieter) acceleration and longer lasting brakes.
On the Toyota it’s $1500. And it’s a better car. At the price of gas in my market it will take a bit less than 20,000 miles to pay that back. If you live in New York or Cali it will be faster.
Wait, no drag race???

Yes, the piano black trim in the Kia would definitely be a dealbreaker for me. First off the glare, second it shows everything. My last vehicle had piano black, and it could not wait to get rid of it because of that reason my current vehicle has no black in it whatsoever! Yes❤ #IWouldProbablyChooseTheHondaCRVHybrid
I own the 2023 Kia Sportage hybrid Sx Prestige and this fuel economy test is false. I bet they are taking their readings from what the vehicle reads on the instrument cluster. Do your actual math after filling up and miles traveled. The EPA for the Sportage hybrid is 38city/38highway and I do get that exact EPA and I drive both city and highway on smart mode.
If you watched the video you can see (and they mention) that they filled up at the same station before and after the test which strongly suggests they calculated their own MPG.
I watched the video and as I stated they didn't do the calculations. I have owned this vehicle for a year and 4months and I'm saying they took the reading of the vehicle. It reads up to 45mpg that's the highest I saw on a long road trip for short trips it reads 54mpg and I don't take that literally cos I do my calculations.
We used a vbox to track our miles covered, as it's more accurate than the trip meter of any of these cars. And also went to the same pump before/after the drive for consistency with all three vehicles, and used those figures to perform our calculations. Thanks for watching!
I totally love the design of the Kia over the others. I think the Honda since the redesign looks pretty bland.
I’m impressed by this video review. Great video and audio quality. Relevant information and presented in a fun way (love the memes) and I would say a fair assessment. I’m a Honda guy at heart and I respect Toyota as well. I’m also an Audi and BMW guy for my fun sports cars.
I’m afraid to take the leap to Kia or Hyundai. I still don’t trust them for reliability and their name brand is still lower tier to me. We all know Honda and Toyota hold their resell value higher and longer. But I’m impressed enough to go test drive a new Sportage.
The world has changed. Still more come in EVs.
Kia for the features , Toyota for quality and Honda is not what it used to be .
He seems to like the Kia personally
Driving Rav4 is actually fun and really cheap. I would take Toyota any day over the other 2. Same like phones. Samsung is statistically ahead with every model, and everyone rocks iPhone. lol
The RAV4 is the clear winner here. It has a spare tire, the other 2 do not. I don't understand why Honda thinks their hybrid vehicles will never have flat tires but that seems to be their thinking.
90% of new cars don't have spare tires these days.
Saves weight which translates to higher MPGs. Thats why a lot don't have a spare. Just an air pump and patch kit.
Prefer the Honda CR-V looks wise but the RAV4 isn't too shabby either. I think the Toyota still puts on a good showing when compared with these much newer competitors. The fact that the RAV4 still has the best MPGs makes it a winner in my book. On the other hand, the Kia is too criminally ugly for me to consider.
Rav4.. all the way.. reliability & resale.. that's it. Nothing else matters.. i have 3 toyota's now & i am very happy with the low cost of ownership. Can't beat that.
Right… the mythical Toyota bulletproof instant reliability
You’re really willing to sacrifice everything just for one thing? It’s not worth it.

why the jealously? I understand your favorite brand Toyota and Honda didn't make it to first place, but relax and loosen your panties.
I disagree with you on Toyota RAV4 hybrid when changing from hybrid to gas. It doesn’t make noise like the way you said it. I drive this car everyday. All the things you’re saying that Toyota RAV 4 doesn’t are present in Toyota RAV4 because it depends on the trim you buy. In my opinion your review isn’t balanced 😂
Hi. The Tucson is better in terms of multimedia and has wireless Android auto and car play. The interior is also of better quality. That's why it's in first place, followed by Sportage and CR-V. The RAV4 is noisy and outdated, and it has a soft suspension.
One problem with Korean brands, engine reliability.
All of them will be driven at 95mph so MPG doesn’t matter anyways.
If you don’t need a lot of cargo room and you’re looking for a comfort and luxury Venza limited is a hidden gem.
The venzas discontinued
If you want a luxury rav4 that’s the Lexus nx
Darth Vader that's me 😂 that's why I like Honda's and I own 2 of them 😁 black
You go RIGHT AHEAD and go into $40,000 worth of debt (or so) on that Kia. A fancy interior won't do you ANY good at all, when you're stranded on the side of a road. Oh, and then GOOD LUCK getting your local Kia dealer to honor that so-called "warranty" they dangled in front of your face when you bought the thing. YOU GO RIGHT AHEAD. What's most important? It's not "a feature" -- it's RELIABILITY and DURABILITY. THIS is why Kia sells about one-fifth or less as many Sportages as Toyota sells RAV4s or Honda sells CR-Vs.
Wrong on all fronts
Reliability is the same across the board
You just need to take good care of the car. It’s not that hard. 😂
Kia not honoring the warranty is because of the dealer. Remember there are plenty of dealers in the area to help you out
Kia top trim is the cheapest among all these, try to build Toyota and Honda top trim then you will know.
I care about reliability and resale.
I don’t buy for bells and whistles.
For tech, the Honda doesn't even have an option for birds' eye cam, ventilated seats, or a panoramic sunroof. Honda's built-in nav from garmin doesn't crowd source nearly as well as the nav from toyota. I just don't see how yall can give the scores it gets for tech options. For Kia, yall gotta knock it harder for no wireless android and apple auto, that's just poorly executed.
Also, yall glossed over that toyota is the only one with a spare tire...
Escape hybrid is very competitive with any of the 3 tested and it doesn't even get a mention.
comparing Hybrid cars and talikng about other things seems confusing..
Honda & Toyota Hybrid, Nothing Else.😊
OK people let’s start pretending that Honda is actually a reliable brand. You can keep telling yourself that, but it won’t make it any more true. Kia and Honda are the exact same level of reliability the only car company that is actually deserving of any praise and worship is Toyota. I have owned Hondas and so have many of my friends and family. The stories with our Honda vehicles always end up to be a tragedy. I’m tired of pushing this fake narrative that Honda is reliable. Toyota is the actual only remaining company that makes actual reliable vehicles.
I had a 2000 Accord I drove for 12 years, I have a 2016 CRV.............out side of brakes a batteries, neither has ever been worked on!
Best is hyundai Tucson hybrid limited.
If not buy Tesla on that price
I would try test drive the Kia Sportage either before or after the Tuscon as I did. I was very let down by the Tuscon interior space, cargo space and interior design. The Tuscon felt cramped and somewhat cheap
Kia’s new hybrids are extremely reliable and is a way better value than Toyota RAV4 at the moment, so I’m not surprised. God job Kia 🎉
Not their PHEVs though. It's a buggy piece of electronics now. Had to reboot my Sorento PHEV by unplugging the 12V battery. Check engine light randomly came on. Weird clunking noises from underneath the car. Blindspot monitoring that randomly turns off. Squeaky steering wheel!?!?
@@OurMoldySaab sounds like a Sorento problem, not a sportage problem.. I only hear issues with the Sorento and never the sportage.
I'd personally pick kia/Hyundai. Toyotas are always boring not fun and too safe. Japanese been playing it safe making these vehicles, they don't change anything, they keep everything old and cheap. And obviously reliability isn't the most important factor for me personally. I can't sit in ugly outdated cabin. I'd rather sit in new modern fun cabin with stylish exterior and drive it for 10 years and get something else
The rav4 in its current form was released in 2019 and yet it handily beats the newer engines / drive train. Hardly any issues have been reported. This review doesnt talk about reliability and engine issues with the Kia/Hyundai. So why buy a vehicle with great looks and wonderful electronics and yet the vehicle will be spending a lot of time sitting in a shop or a driveway. Lol. Edmunds good job . Thanks but no thanks.
Tucson is definitely second to Sportage. lol
