this is probably 1 of the coolest formats thus far. granady and elconn both represent the tortoise and the hare analogies quite well via trying to go all out quickly rather than playing it more slowly
It's so funny to see how so many players thought that running out of energy would have no consequences 😅

As a Motorsport fan this is by far the coolest thing I have seen in TrackMania. Hopefully they do the full Formula E schedule

I only watched the first race for the series because the time when the races were held kept changing and Scrapie deleted his vod from the second race so I couldn't watch it back. nice to see a video made out of the series.

can we talk about how the 'electric' cars have engine noise?
I mean engine sounds can be easy emulated, having that many gears is the really wyld thing xD why simulating those if U can have a single gear the entire time?!
@@AlfiMC some of the Formula E teams had gears in the earlier generations of their powertrain but three was max I think and it wasn't really efficient enough
can't they also use digital sound effects based on the power to the engine and speed? they use a simple processor for that i think. it might give drivers an audio clue as to how fast the car is going and how much energy they need to keep.
If someone manages to mod that in, but I don't think the game allows you to modify that much
I'm not into Formula racing at all, but surprisingly enjoyed this video a ton
Wow, the energy management actually mattered so much. Despite Scrapie making multiple mistakes, his better energy usage got him the win in the end.
It's unlikely that the other players didn't make any mistakes either. In fact they could've made more mistakes, but *made it up* by basically completely disregarding energy consumption, which obviously didn't work out in the end lol
Really cool format. I'm glad Formula E went with TM over any of the other racing games or simulators. I feel like this fits TM way better than it would have any other racing game.
If you ever play this format again, I'd love to see you in a call with a chatter like thexivn to have him/her calling out your consumption each lap. Would give a real Formula vibe hearing someone strictly giving you info during the race.

You installed a plugin for SD's? Those can interfere with the texture packs of maps
@@Mooshielol I installed some plugins, yes. What is SD?
@@leonardofernandez6488 SD as in speed drift /Spee slide. The plugin in question can show you your skidmarks on the road with different styles so it's more visible

the format still makes no sense to me, you're trying to be the fastest person in a race but you can't go fast because of some arbitrary reason. zzz
It is what it is. Emulating Formula 1 and Formula E where I think it makes sense. They are intentionally having a little too many laps for the size battery or tank so that the race isn't only about drive skill but efficient power systems and smart driving.
In formula e you are limited by your total battery capacity and if you exceed it you enter safe mode. Witch is designed to limp the car back to the pits
