The distribution of author names seems so much more even than that of the track names. Assuming a perfectly even distribution, the expected number of tracks to play (without skipping) is 100, which is not too far off the actual value. A lot depends on the luck on the last 1-3 letters, though.

the reason for this difference is likely because usernames are often exotic whereas map names are usually something meaningful/real words

To be honest, one cannot just look at the number of authors and say which letter will be more or less rare. We need to look at the number of maps made by authors starting with a given letter in the total map pool to say how rare a "letter" will be.
