220 still semi high speed ... even our old WAP-5 engine was tested at 185 kmph speed. Even Vande Bharat has max of 200 kmph. And why can't our trains look streamlined and sleek like Shinkansen or RRTS or TGF trains ... Vande Bharat still looks like an old Dabba in comparison.

Although we have no earlier experience to build Bullet train but we can build more high-speed Vande Bharat, if we can build 250 km Max.speed Vande Bharat, it is not less achievement for us, our ICF is building at 220 kmph speed Vande Bharat, it is Vande Bharat 3 version, thus ICF can build 250 kmph speed Vande Bharat also, it is very difficult for ICF,

Govt should buy the train set from Japan for now. But R&D on building Indian bullet train must be ongoing. 1 year deadline on building this train is not feasible as it is not matter of just going fast but quality of travel matters alot. Vande Bharat is a good train but quality of construction is still lacking.

Appreciate india readiness for Made In India efforts but technology wise japan, China and France are the best as they have long experience.. As the Hitachi & Kawasaki manufacturer of bullet trains demanded Rs 470 cr for a single bullet train .. upon negotiation it will come down .. I don’t think it will wise for India to start with indigenous te technology to run at 250 km/ HR which is actually not a bullet train standard and whole world will be watching us .. subsequent roll outs we should go for ICF .. again quality and maintenance will have to top priority as Japanese , Chinese and Korean standards are very high .. bullet train is a different ecosystem and it’s not like Vande bharat ..

Firstly 220 speed is very low this would end the whole bullet train concept and secondly I don’t think ICF can make good looking bullet train like Shinkansen vande Bharat is better than old trains but if you compare to trains outside India it’s still so bad looking 😅

Right, ICF took so long to make vande Bharat that has just touched international level, personally i don't like the design of vb i mean if you're spending crores in one train the least you could do is to hire a good designer or could've gone to IIT Chennai to ask students of design development to design it for you. 2nd where is vande sleeper? It's been years since we've heard about it you just have to make train coaches bro . How are you going to develop a high speed train on time if you can't even make just some boxes on time . I personally don't have any expectations from ICF or any other government thing except ISRO.

Many issues and I hope it doesn't happen for the first train. (I know people will come with some delusional and absurd reasoning to counter this, but please read all points until the end before commenting and understand the reasoning)
    1. ICF is not focused on quality. Best example Vande Bharat. Yes they are far apart in terms of quality than our traditional trains, but compared to international trains, not as good, too much misalignment and gaps in panels. (If you don't agree with this, please come out of your delusion and do some research, It's clearly there).
And I'm pretty sure we won't have an existensive and the type of interior design and facilities in ICF one at start like the ones we have in the Japanese. Don't believe me, just see a video which completely shows all the facilities. And then think will our "Babu" Officers make that king of think happen 🤣. Not at all, if you think yes, sorry to tell you that, but you are delulu.
    2. Going from 320 to 220 and calling it bullter train in 2024 era is a joke. We are at one place saying world class, one of the bigest economy, and on the other hand 320 and above speeds are there since before 2000's. It doesn't make sense.
    3. Our own "Bullet Train" 220-250 speed trains would make sense on routes that aren't high density/volume etc type routes. It doesn't make sense to replace 320 speeds with 220 speeds on routes like Delhi - Mumbai, Bengalore - Chennai, Mumbai - Bangalore etc.
    4. 160 - 220 should be our target for trains on our normal tracks (after upgradations) instead of making new Overhead Bridge Railway Routes and only get 220 speeds with that even tough it could be done on ground by existing upgrading our existing routes.
[Just like how other countries do]
    6. Not saying we should not make our now bull trains, we should, but after the technology has matured and we have gotten to the point of achieving 320 - 350 operational speeds. Then start the process of bringing our trains sets instead of Japanese ones on those high volume routes.

If you can run a train in India with 150 KM average speed that is enough, We don't need it, there is no bullet train in USA/Canada/Switzerland and most EU Nations. Why the hell you need Bullet train in India? Look at numbers of accidents on train tracks so how you can say Bullet Train have no accidents? Look at your infrastrcture, how many bridges collapsed in Bihar in last few months? India is good for Turtle not Rabbit?
