  • In this week’s episode, psychotherapist Margaret McGahon addresses the common questions that people have when navigating reminiscent work - particularly for the facilitator. Oftentimes, the most difficult part in facilitating these conversations is asking effective questions. Whether it’s communicating better with people in reminiscent work settings or in everyday casual settings, McGahon’s tips on healthy habits for communicating are useful!
Phrases like, “Is this [topic] something you would like to say more about?” or “Are you finished with topic, or is there more that we can discuss here?” are what McGahon suggest for allowing a person more space in reminiscent work. A number of our weekly viewers have shared that McGahon’s advice is helpful for practical settings too.
