Just acquired from the estate of a man that owned it 18 years. He bought it in Arizona. The Sprint was a sporty package that included a 260 V8, bucket seats and a sports steering wheel.
EXTERIOR: Very handsome body style. This car has a virgin, original metal body. It is straight and the gaps are spot on. The doors shut like a new car. Repainted 1 time in it's original Rangoon red color. It isn't a $20,000 paint job but it has a smooth, glossy finish. The front bumper is rechromed. Rear is original. The side moldings are excellent. Weatherstrips were replaced. Cragar wheels sparkle like new.
INTERIOR: It has a sporty interior with factory bucket seats, center console and a sport steering wheel. In front of me is a mint instrument panel. The chrome bezels sparkle, lenses are clear. It has an optional padded dash. New cloth headliner. Down on the floor is new carpet. It has optional seatbelts in front. The upholstery was replaced and the door panels look new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 260 V8 motor has been upgraded with an aluminum intake and a Holley carb. It's dressed up with Ford Motorsport valve covers and air cleaner. The distributor, cap and wires were replaced. The engine bay is clean, straight original metal that's been painted black.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is untouched original inside. The paint is original so it shows wear but the metal is pristine original. It has original mat. The jack and spare assembly is complete.
UNDERSIDE: The metal is dry as a chalkboard under this car. The floors, frame rails, rockers and even the lower quarters behind the tires are rust free original metal. It's never even been spray painted over. The front end was gone through. The lower control arms, bushings and ball joints were replaced. It has air shocks in back. Recent dual exhaust with stainless Borla mufflers. Looking up at the motor it has a chrome oil pan, correct fuel pump with canister. It also has original Ford-o-matic trans and 3.25 rear end.
If you appreciate a car that hasn't been molested, you will like this one. Handsome car, but red-red makes it even better!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

Looks better than alot of the new cars! New cars look cheap unless your spending $150,000.00

Growing up we had a 65 Falcon Futura wagon with a 289 honey gold. Bought new it was 2,700 $. I miss that car. This one looks great.

My first car was a low mileage 1962 Ford Falcon 2dr. in white/blue. Dead nuts reliable and a great example of American engineering. Jay's car here brings back a whole lotta memories! In fact my 2nd car was a 1965 Mustang w/ 289ci V-8. The Mustang body a knockoff of the Ford Falcon and the 289 was a successor to the 260 V-8. Give Ford credit for making a wildly successful parts bin car and creating an entirely new genre (pony car).

3:06 The side Stainless Steel Chrome Piece that runs from the Front Fender to the Rear is shaped like a Rocket with Exhaust Fins.
The Rear Tailights were copied from a Jet Turbine Fighter Jet in Afterburner glowing Red.
Today's Cars don't have those unique designs.

From Arizona ya say? Makes sense for that under carriage look. I'd probably have that underside cleaned up properly tbh...Otherwise, A very nice car to be sure!

An interesting and very rare car. I love the red paint and chrome wheels. Are you sure the engine is original after all these years? I think Ford had a high performance version of the 260 rated at 240 HP.
