    Hi professor. Thanks for the video. You go straight to the point, you show clearly how to solve the problems in a step-by-step fashion, and above all everything is understandable. As the old saying say "the good things of life are in simplicity". Greetings from Peru!

    In Sign test, we had taken the critical value as 1 at n=11. But in Wilcoxon Sign rank test, we have taken critical value as 11. Thats why here we reject the null hypothesis and we failed to reject the null hypothesis in sign test. Otherwise if it was 11, then it would have got rejected.
    Thank you

    Step 2: when subtracting 42 from each sample given, some last digits not giving the same am obtaining them e.g 36-42=-6 but there, we have -12

    In last question computed Z is greater than critical value of Z ..so Ho should be rejected,no?as per you said earlier in definition..
    Why did you say failed to reject?
    I mean for small samples why you took plain line to denote critical value,while for large sample questions you took curve graph to denote critical value?

    • @DrHarishGarg
      @DrHarishGarg  Před 2 lety

      See it again.... It is clearly seen and mentioned that -1.645 < -0.18, so it lies in the Acceptance regiona and hence we FAIL TO REJECT H0... There is no confusion in it.

I've a question though if you have time to reply me. Do you have any video about paired samples of nonparametric tests, such as pre and post observations of data sets. In this video, you only presented one sample against a population mean. Thanks and appreciated!
