  • I finally decided to test out some flex blades on one of my trucks. I never jumped on these because I just didn’t see the point in them. Unless you have very limited shock mounting options they seemed like a wash to me. How do they actually work? Let’s find out!

    To increase the angle of climb you have to lower the front suspension and raise the rear a little bit. A metal front bumper would help too

    Just recently printed some flex blades, you have to move your front shock top mount forward about 2 holes to account for the length of the blade and it will sit how it did without the blade. I noticed way more ability to get over things that would bottom out normally and you'd have to jump instead of crawl over. They do need a Lil tuning but I wasn't feeling em either until I tested em now I don't wanna take em off

    I think the tomahawks are a great idea, they keep all four tires in contact with the ground and provide more traction when in articulating situations but the only thing I don’t like about them is they cause a little torque twist and give it that ‘three wheel motion’

      Depends how tough the lines are. I stick with around 3 tires of flex and do fine on everything. Most of these flex adding mods are for Insta and Facebook pics lol

    where is the most important test, the side hill.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Před 2 lety +1

      Honestly if I had seen any positive to running them I may have tested side hill but they did nothing. Didn’t see the point. Usually if the uphill suffers from a mod then side hill will as well. I just don’t see any point in running these at all so I ditched them. The tiny bit of “flex” that they give is barely even noticeable and hurt the overall performance too much for me to give them much of a shot.

      @@2fmrc thats what im getting at. a lot of these so called performance mods hurt, but people see flex or an ability to climb straight up and they get their panties wet. but if you test side hill usually you show that not only did they not help but they hurt, and it would save me 10 minutes of video watching to see results of your test. Still I like your not selling this crap to other hobbiests. Its all junk and wasting peoples money in a hobby filled with people who dont make a lot of money. So good on you. I'm might have even subbed or liked if you didnt ask me to. lol

      Yeah I have some XRs that give more flex. I’m gonna try them out also. Not on this truck though. It don’t need any more flex. Rather keep it as is for now.

      @@2fmrc I understand not liking the idea I just wish u would try the ones I use on 3 of mine 😀 and give a lil guy a chance to show u something if not just let me send u a video it says it all but that's not given them a fair go mine the shock sits on the same side it usually does (not on the axle ) and gives u low cg with alot of flex . U don't even have to use my name I don't care about the advertising I just wanna show people there is a option where u done have to use double barrel shocks and spend all that money on them . My $6.50 flex tabs do just as well me friend.. give the lil guy a chance and hear me out . I watch your videos all the time

      @@floridasfamilyrcchannel1412 it don’t make me any difference. If you wanna send me some I’ll test them out and give 100% credit. Or however you wanna do it. I just get tired of all the “use rubber bands” “use limiting straps” use this use that etc. If I have to take a product and make 2-3 other things to make it work then I may as well have used something else or never messed with it at all lol. Lots of gimmicks out there. I’m all for trying new stuff though if it works!
