    Spacers have worked for years. I have used them on carb and tbi set ups and they work. Gains will vary with different cars and trucks. I noticed a huge difference in low rpm and going up hills. Torque more than horsepower.

      The general idea I've theoretically concluded is that added length to the intake tract increases low down torque thus the opposite of wider pipes increase power 👍

    you will not notice a difference with a spacer.... 1-2 gain with intake mods.... what you will notice is a response difference. a TB spacer is more of a efficiency improvement vs a power improvement.

      OK COOl thats sort of what Im investigating if I do one on my V6 Cyclone mustang. Throttle response is a bit slow because of the drive by wire system but when it kicks in its awesome. If i can get it more instantaneous that be great. I know there are electronic modules that can do that but I think a spacer may be a good cheap way to make it a little more responsive.

    • @mk-jm5tv
      @mk-jm5tv Před 4 lety +9

      That’s a Myth. If you want more air and power, you need bigger throttle body, bigger intake, bigger heads, bigger cam, bigger exhaust. If you aren’t changing your entire flow system, you’re wasting your time. There’s a reason why going up in horsepower costs thousands, not hundreds. If ONE single part of your flow is smaller, that is the max air that the entire engine will flow. Think I’m wrong? Swap any of the above parts to a smaller one and see what happens on a dyno. Suck air through a straw and pinch the straw.

  • @TheVulcan
    @TheVulcan Před 5 lety +5

    You’re going to see a difference In weak engine like the v6(anything you do will help). You won’t feel it in a powerful 400hp v8. You’ll feel 8hp in a 200hp v6 before feeling it in an 400hp v8. Also the coyote has charge motion control valves inside the intake manifold(gives the air a swirl already) and Variable camshafts timing that optimizes low end and top end power. Spacers will work best on open runner intake manifold/non technologically advanced engines(old v6, i4, v8s).

    • @TheVulcan
      @TheVulcan Před 5 lety +1

      Well I mean the old v6 mustang made only 195hp(2004) and 210hp(2005-2010). And a 2003 Vq35de made 280hp in the Z. So the v6s were pretty weak back then.

    logic dictates that the vehicle engineers would have designed the intake manifold with the throttle spacer design already in the engine in order to maximize economy and power if such a device was so beneficial. This is a scam. I can understand if this device was expensive to produce and could not be built into the intake manifold itself...but that is not the case. You can easily design it into the throttle connection with literally no extra cost.

      Engineers design the vehicle to at pass emissions…. So I’m sure there could be improvements. Just not with this mod alone.

      @@yes_itselectric Exactly. CAI's tend to improve HP and T, but we don't see them as stock applications. Take the exhaust manifolds for example. Headers are far better for the engine and performance, but again, its all about passing regulations and emissions.

    They are absolutely 110% worthless 😂 but if you guys truly have done your testing for your self and believe otherwise.. id whip some up on the cnc machine for you and charge you less than 50% of what these other guys are charging. Maybe you guys can convince the nhra to start using them lol 😂😂😂😂 . Hell i might just make one for my pressure cleaner.. maybe it will put out more psi!! Get the floors even whiter lol 😅😅

      takingu2skoo looking at Dino graphs even backs it up. Maybe 1hp at the most? Yeah totally worth 100 bucks....
