      I appreciate your honesty. Some people prefer strawberry ice cream and some like vanilla better. It's good in this way. You know, variety is a beautiful thing cuz it can please everyone without judgment.

      Hey those were great times indeed. I started in 94 and it's been an awesome experience for me. Let's keep on skating and enjoying this amazing sport. What skates are you using now?

      @@EugeneDiniz I have 4 pairs of skates. I have a pair of customized razors cults, razors Andrew broom pro shift skates, Iqon carbon AG 10 skates and Gawds pro tim franken skates. But at the exact moment I'm skating the razors custom cults. And in my skates I use the myfit prime liners. I use Gawds pro wheels and ground control feather light 4 frames and the Iqon AG60 C frames along with AG 60 regular frames. I love gear!! It's fun to collect but it'll put me in the poor house!! But without my myfit prime liners I'd be miserable. Love em! Thankyou for asking and chatting. Be well good sir.

      @@EugeneDiniz check out the 94 skate video called the bottom line it's on CZcams. I used to own the VHS tape of it when I worked in a snow board and skate shop back then. I miss those days soooo much. Just pure fun.

      Wow, that's an impressive collection! Those customized Razors Cults sound awesome. I can definitely relate to the gear obsession-it’s all part of the fun! I hardly ever customize my skates, though; I usually ride them stock. Thanks for sharing, and happy skating!

      Hi there 👋. California is home to great rollerbladers. 👍
      I am a Brazilian living the life here in Asia. In what skates do you roll?

  • @cfronin
    @cfronin Před 4 měsíci +1

    Aeons are slow, I loved them to get back to blading, they are very easy skates. I learnt negatives thanks to the Aeons, but I switch to m12 which are way faster and precise. I don't mind the small soulplate since I learnt in the 90s with skates without soulplate 🙃, I can still negative with the m12s, now that I learnt them in Aeons. The only trick I can't transfer to m12s is negative soul, but it's mainly because I use a frame way taller. I'm sure the Omnis are good given the people behind them, but I find their style lackluster, they are very bland.

    • @EugeneDiniz
      @EugeneDiniz  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Agreed 👍. The Aeons are slow for grinds especially after skating with them for over a year. I my opinion besides that issue, they are pretty good. They are comfortable, excellent for airs, and it's budget friendly. I've never tried negatives, but now that you mentioned it. I'll try to learn one or two tricks. Yeah, I know what you mean 😏 I started skating in 1994 and back then the soulplates were like ten millimeters wide or less.
      So, far I like the Omni skates better than Aeons and it comes to grinds. Once my back gets better, I'll try some gaps and wall rides.

  • @swissblader8037
    @swissblader8037 Před 4 měsíci

    They look good. But to be honest your skating with the Aeons looks for me somewhat smoother. Your Aeons convince me more. I think I will give them a try as you suggested.😉PS: I think that the Omni is not that extreme as a Roces M12 because the frame sits lower and it has a bigger soulplate, but it is obvious for me that it is more rigid than the Aeons. And please do not get me wrong: I find hardboots also great but I can just tell you that it is a huge difference to skate first with a Seba CJ (or USD Carbon) and after with a Roces M12. They are also great, but according to my experience they are worse for doing topside tricks or switch-ups on square ledges because they are much more rigid. If I do for example an AO topside Acid on a square ledge with a Seba CJ I have ways more control than with an M12 because it locks in ways smoother (the motion while locking in is more fluent and less abrupt).

      @pablosskates7067 Před 4 měsíci +2

      Yeah but you’re judging him based on his literal first session.

    • @EugeneDiniz
      @EugeneDiniz  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hey, bro. I feel you, man. Before Aeons, I skated Remz for about 8 years and then Triggers for two years. So I am used to soft boots and I really like them. Before getting my Aeons, I bought the Sway All-Star 2000 and I couldn't skate on them. First, because they were way too hard for me, the cuffs were kinda tall, my knees weren't like they used to be and I was used to soft boots, so transitioning from Triggers to the Sways was too abrupt for me. Thus I decided to try the Aeons because I heard they were softer than the Sways and also because the last time I skated on a flat setup was in the late 90s to early 2000.
      I never tried the Seba or the USD Carbon, but I know they can be very soft.
      I only skated on the Roces M12 back in the late 90s, and yeah, they were hard and the soul plates were narrow.
      I appreciate your honesty and I know that this first sesh I had on the new standard Omnis was not the best, but I believe as I skate a few more sessions with them, I will eventually skate better. In addition to that before that skating session, I haven't skated for more than a month, so I think that adds up to my bad skating quality. I had tons of fun though.
      Yeah, give the Aeons a try. They are good skates for sure.

      @@pablosskates7067 Then you misunderstood me completely, because the aim was not a judgement of his amazing skills or his skating in general. It was just about his skating with this skate compared to other edits of him with the USD Aeons. And sorry, but I think he can do hundred sessions with this skate, his skating will look still smoother with the Aeons. But that is just my opinion and we will see...😉

    • @swissblader8037
      @swissblader8037 Před 4 měsíci

      @@EugeneDiniz Hi bro. It was absouletely not about your skating. Your skills are still amazing. But if you watch carefully how you lock-in in your edit, then you will see the difference to your last edit with the Aeons. Even if you lock-in perfect is the motion more abrupt then before and that is not because you are skating worse. It is because the skate is obviously stiffer than the Aeon. It is similar if you watch some professionals which skated before soft boots and changed after to a hardboot (Bobi Spassov, Jeremy Soderburg etc.). They are all amazing bladers but their skatestyle looked after a little bit different then before. But maybe it is like you say: Probably it is also relevant from which side a blader comes originally (hard or soft boot).😉

    • @EugeneDiniz
      @EugeneDiniz  Před 4 měsíci

      @@swissblader8037 Yeah, I know what you mean, bro. My session with the Omni wasn't as smooth as it usually was when I was skating in my Aeons. I was having a hard time finding the right timing when I was approaching each obstacle therefore my movements felt forced. I believe it is because I skated on an anti-rocker setup. In addition to that while grinding on that anti-rocker I didn't feel much stability, but in that matter, I only need to get used to it. My buddy Carlos the host of the Tchanka Podcast also mentioned that the way Alex Broskow skates on flats differs from when he is on an anti-rocker setup.
      I fully appreciate you sharing your point of view on this matter.
      This a great way to exchange ideas and learn from one another. Wish you a great weekend.
