Anyone else had similar prolems? Or is this just my weird feet and bad knee ruining my experience. My mondo is 285mm & I got a size Large. A medium Them 909 fits me perfect.
Definitely looks like it's a knee issue to me. Your posture is way different than I think it usually is when you do groove tricks - you're much more leaned forward and not dropping your hips as much as you normally would. Seems like something you'll fix up quickly once you can skate more consistently and build some stability muscle after your knee heals up. Add a new frame with a pretty mellow groove and it's a bad combo haha. Hopefully you're back to 100% soon dude!
I had the same fit issues, the only difference was that both of my ankles hurt so badly. After 10 or 15 minutes I just had to stop and move to another set of skates. I've now heat molded the liners and the shells three times and they are slightly better so I'm hoping I can get a whole session in them today
Thanks for the vid bro. I’m 43. I have been breakdancing for 25 years. My knees have seen years and years of abuse. I was able to get back into skating and improve and exceed my previous best at breaking thanks to the “Knees over toes guy”. I’m so grateful to be able to skate again and move freely. I can’t recommend knees over toes enough if you have any knee problems.

I had all the first gen problems law pointed out. Washer under the front soul plate bolts, warped soul, and plastic flashing under one of the wheels that I had to cut out. Thankfully all minor issues. I have the same pressure points you pointed out in this video as well. I'm planning to try and punch out the shells to widen the toe box today. Fingers crossed it works!

Maybe some stuff I would make: both shockabsorber for a higher stand. Heat mold the liner and maybe some rounder wheels and intuition liner if not work. I skate about 18 years and only the last years I try some modifications 😅 sometimes thinn socks work and sometimes higher or lower cuff! I ride an rollerblade solo 42 with second skin 43 and some aeon shocks and kizer fluid 4 right now... Greetings from Germany 🎉🖤
Sorry about your knee man. I can see your frustration. It does look like they probably aren't the best skates for flat out the box, you have good technique and those wheel bite squeaks were hard to listen too lol. Appreciate the honest review. They do look like solid skates imo but I appreciate how objective you are. I've hated skates out of the box but loved them once broken in... maybe that'll be the case here.

It is sad to hear like any skate it isnt perfect for EVERYONES foot. Which to be fair that is any skate. Some people have had a heel pinch, or didnt like the cuff flap area. Or whatever it may be. The last skate I was really excited to try when it was new was the SL. Disappointed with how they felt on feet. I still really want to try the omni still. Its beautiful
SLs are kind of flimsy. But the skate slides a lot better and is a lot more solid if you put epoxy under the souls and midsoul/between the boot. It helps with the bendy feeling, topsides and all other grinds feel a lot more solid and fast sliding
I love the honestly of the review, and hopefully you feel better soon. With a few custom parts they might feel much better, but I agree a few more session in them might help brake them in and feel good.

Literally having the same problem with my brutale since weeks now, heatmolding doenst do anything and i m actually super sick of it. Same goes for heatmolding, i dont wanna sit hours in the kitchen and bake my skate. My actually get the FR AP skates xD
I seen Laws recent live stream where he used some adhesive weather striping and padded to smooth out the inner boot upper that is causing pressure points.
I've got Intuition premium liners on the way. I'm 275 mondo and got the large with the same pressure points as you. I have very wide feet and ankles so I'm going to heat mold the shell but I think I can make it work nicely. They are definitely shorter than other skates their size-range which is good for me since my feet seem to be wider than long. If they fit your foot, I hear they're cherry. I can make it work with some heat I bet.
I prefer skates that are relatively floppy. I want the pressure in my ankles not the knees. I also imagine that cuff being so stiff digs in when way over on backslides or royales. They look great and I bet a different liner will solve some problems
Did you get to small of a skate. Definitely need to mold the liners, if you don’t want to heat mold them, then lace up the liners and wear them around for a few hours for a few days. Also, you really got to skate a skate for a few weeks to break in some of the stiff points including the frames. But of course if a skate is too small, it’s the worst. I had some Petty Thrones back in the day that were used I got for free from a friend. I can remember skating in them for like 15 minutes at a time and then taking them off my toes were pressed against the front of the shell
There's a wall in the skatepark where grafiti is alloud. They waterblast all the graffiti else where off, leading to very rough concret and ramps. It is a fun park though.
Heat mould the boot. Remove the laced top loop. Big things that Law said in his video. Likely youll have watched it now. Good luck with the knee. Im 6 months and no skating as a result of Scottish weather and a fucked foot. Bad times all round.

I had the same fit issues with the liners and mentioned it in my video. Also kept slipping out on stock frame.
You should try a different liner. Mine was a bit too snug for me. I do feel like your knee contributed to it as well.
I only bought shells. But my small Omni fits a lot better than my small THEM

Heat mold the cuff/ankle of the skate like law explained in is back to blading episode. I just did that yesterday, way more comfortable
Take them to a ski shop where they do proper heat molding. Explain the problems, and they should be able to solve it.
Can’t wait to see the heat mold, heel pad swap and maybe anti-rocker. Hope they feel “bitter” 🛼

From what I hear the problems seem to be stemming from the liner and not so much the skate.
SLs are kind of flimsy. But the skate slides a lot better and is a lot more solid if you put epoxy under the souls and midsoul/between the boot. It helps with the bendy feeling, topsides and all other grinds feel a lot more solid and fast sliding

There is no such thing as break in to fix pain and a bad fit. If they don’t fit off the bat, they don’t fit.
