Tyree is a monster. He was already tossing guys 50+ pounds heavier than him around like rag dolls. Him being bigger only means a bigger monster.
Tyree Wilson is a power rusher. He doesn’t have the bend and dip like Crosby. Once tyree finds his own game he will be fine.
Hopefully it translates for him. Size wasn't his issue last year.
He had a lisfranc injury that affected him mostly. Also hie didn't have a lot of techniques for the NFL level. I had a lisfranc injury and it's no joke. It took a long time to heal.

Once the pads go on, we will know more about Tyree's speed and his technique, but it's hard to not be excited about the physical specimen that is our 2023 1st round pick. This defense could be REALLY special if he meets expectations
I was a believer in drafting tyree last year I'm not out on him yet at all he will only get better learning from Maxx and koonce sky is the limit for him he will be a beast in time
His stature made us doubt if he was heavy and strong enough to play DT. Well, he's starting to look the part. With his lack of bend and quick twitch take off, the plan may be to start sliding him to the inside more often. That way they can utilize his strengths more than focussing on and fixing his weaknesses. It will be exciting either way. In Pierce we trust! Raaaaaideeers 🏴☠️🖤⚔️

Tyree reads everything, let the haters hate. Tyree proved the one ability I had about him last year... availability - he played in every game. Anything after that was a bonus. I agree with you though. He was an upside pick at the time and year 3 is when we'll see the best of Tyree. when/If he makes it through this season healthy... lookout.

I actually think he looks pretty decent next to Maxx. That first corner (the one that matters) they are pretty similar and Wilson probably outweighs Maxx by 30-40 lbs now. I think if he keeps listening to and watching great pass rushers he’s going to be a problem. Both on the outside and inside!

Wilson can continue to work on his quickness and athleticism. He has come a long way already. It took both Maxx and Miles years as well to develop into the players they are today.
I think having Wilson with his strength gives the Raiders an outstanding against the run defensive line when it’s Maxx, Wilkens, Jenkins and Wilson's, while providing an End that can potentially give Maxx some rest and be paired with Koonce.
I expect 10-12 sacks out Tyree Wilson based on a crippled rookie campaign , having an offseason and working with the vets like Maxx . Tyree is going King Kong Reggie White when he is all the way up but expect an arrival to ascend in 2024

Tyree is never going to be elite foot speed like Maxx where every move is eliete but he can be better at power moves like bull rush, and Howie Long said on the rush there are plenty of HOF guys with just a few goto moves. Howie pretty much played DT and best move was the bull rush.
Long’s move was the rip, and the shoulder pad reset after each play, especially tackles vs. the run.

Anyone who says Tyree is a bust is someone you can ignore. They knew he was injured and wasn't going to be a dpoy when they drafted him. They knew he was going to take at least two seasons to get up to speed. They didn't know that Chandler Jones was going to flip the fuck out and have to be jettisoned from the team. Tyree had to take on way more playing time than what was planned. He actually got better as the season progressed. Malcolm Koonce hit his stride half way through the season and is going into his money year, that's what you should expect. A player isn't a bust because of where he was picked, (despite popular/ignorant belief) he's a bust if he stinks and is incapable of improving. Tyree neither stinks nor is he incapable of improving. He is a seventh overall pick that the team knew would have to be developed and he is developing. Everyone calling him a bust now will be forking over a couple hundred bucks at the end of the season for his jersey.
I want Tyree Wilson to be successful in the nfl so bad I know he has the size to dominant the nfl he just has to work on that timing
He should be healthier and will have a break out year, especially with the off-season work
I'm not going to write him off yet, but I'll say that he looked a lot like the #4 pick we took that was a bust, Cle Ferrell. Cle looked so slow off the jump. No explosive abilities. I'm hoping that Wilson comes back much better because he's finally fully healthy and has a full year under his belt. He definitely got better last year by the end of the year. I think a couple of years from now, he could actually be a very good DT

I don't think it's possible for Wilson to play DE he has to be well over 300 pounds. Not bad weight. John Jenkins is listed at 325 and Wilson is bigger. He has to be moving inside. Maxx is listed at 260 and looks like a safety compared to Wilson. I would put him right over the center and have him bull rush every play. Centers can't handle him, to strong and he;s quicker then most tackles. He would be a nightmare for QB's under center.

First honest impression...looks moves awkward, yes a lil slow (In fairness comparing with Maxx is a lil though) however those were the two biggest things for me.
Not hating, I'm pullin for the kid actually as we need draft picks to start performing
and I think Coaching and being surrounded by talent will be a big help also.

Best case scenario, he becomes the next Reggie White. Worst case he is just a serviceable rotational piece.
It's foolish to write him off already. Not saying he will or won't pan out, it's just too early.
