    That's an amazing setup, also the sort of thing that would be useful for contractors in the event of a breakdown for their main chopper I could see this coming out to get the work done while repairs were ongoing. Lose a trailer but carry on chopping. Brilliant video.

    Cool Video Aaron! I think it's great to even film the small machines. It does not always have to be the largest and most modern. Greetings Alex.

    That’s pretty cool, not something you’d see in North America. I’ve seen pics of old Gehl setups similar to that on Versatile bi-directional tractors that’s about as close as you’d find I guess.

    Great looking setup, I wonder is that pickup the standard one for the reverse drive harvester?

    • @AgriVidsProductions
      @AgriVidsProductions  Před 5 lety +1

      Probably not, although got to be the same mounting brackets. So interchangeable at least. He did have the smaller header on it before though

      Just had another look this harvester, the Chute is heavily modified with a hydraulic fold mid way, and the electric actuator at the top looks like a great improvement over the original. I like the lights up there too.

  • @tommybreen9677
    @tommybreen9677 Před 3 lety

    Very efficient, why isn't this more common? Contractors must be mad paying hundreds of thousands on a machine that sits in the shed for 8 or 9 month's.

  • @thepajbren
    @thepajbren Před 5 lety

    Does anybody know what hours these early Vario transmissions got to before having to be replaced?

    • @favorit_fan6583
      @favorit_fan6583 Před 5 lety +2

      Well the lifetime from the transmissions only depends from the driver... I work for a contractor in Germany and our 926 hast 13000 hours with the first transmission...
      But normally you can say the get replaced after 7000-9000 hours

    • @thepajbren
      @thepajbren Před 5 lety

      13000 hours is great going from a Vario. It just proves that a good driver is all it takes! I reckon a lot of guys are using the Vario too harshly to slow down big loads at high speeds and generally expecting too much from the transmissions. Well done to your employer's outfit.

    • @ferguson20diesel49
      @ferguson20diesel49 Před 5 lety

      thepajbren 7000 to 9000 hours too early for any major work like that. I know of a fiat/new holland 110-90 28’000 hours here in Ireland. No trans work at all

  • @boblablah3166
    @boblablah3166 Před 5 lety +1

    why can't that chopper be ran on the front of the fendt?

    • @James_3000
      @James_3000 Před 5 lety +1

      Bob La'Blah more power at the rear pto and the fendt has a 180° turnable seat

    • @GeneHunt406
      @GeneHunt406 Před 5 lety +1

      Why would you do that, the cab is reversible, plus if the chopper was on the front of the tractor, the driver has the hood/ engine bonnet in the way.
