Life_is_Harddd so it’s a game where I have to pay 20$ USD to play as Mario in MARIO Kart. Not to mention all cosmetics grant advantages, so basically pay to win. If you don’t buy stuff ur gonna progress slowly. Or to mention the game isn’t even FINISHED yet. Because they want money ASAP. So we’re paying for an unfinished game that doesn’t have multiplayer. Thankfully, they have implemented a drift button, which works for automatic drift just fine, so I can manage those Ultra Mini Turbos just fine and stick to the control scheme which is pleasant to play. Thanks for the video, only found this channel today but it's interesting to see the styles from others. I swapped to manual drift only immediately when I started, but hold my phone "normally" with the left hand and use my right index finger with the right thumb touching the last joint of it for drifting, since I felt like that gave me a lot more control. It's a neat game, but I wish they'd have a no items mode with no extra points from karts, gliders, and characters inclusive for the ranked mode, so that times could be compared. (Mario Kart 8 had this in online multiplayer - we're of course lacking this feature for now as well). The whole point system feels a bit weird, since you're not trying to be fast, you're trying to collect coins and hope for a frenzy if you're playing ranked mode or trying to get 5 stars, especially when you're lower level and don't have a kart with "bonus points x2". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the best thing is to drift behind an AI to get extra speed and then pop up the ultraturbo right after for longer speed boost.
If you cant go full manual drift then activate move assist and practice in 100cc till you get the stuff , then deactivate move assist and keep only manual drifthing in any cc.
Without move assist some invisible walls dissapears for you , so you can get slowed down by getting off the road or take other routes like in 6:57 with an ultraturbo or an item

I initially started with smart steering and gyro. I then turned off everything but gyro and did pretty well, but it's just practically impossible to obtain the types of turbo needed for a genuinely decent score in gyro, so I switched to manual drift controls. Definitely a learning curve and while I can get a decent score, I have the hardest time keeping myself from drifting from side to side and shooting my items when I didn't want to. I didn't think to actually keep my thumb moving from side to side, so I would always remove it to get myself back into a straight line and a lot of hopping. Time for some more experimenting with controls.

It depends what you are better with. Also it sucks when you are first the whole race, then at the end you get blue shelled.

If you dift and pin drivers to the wall you get a combo... also I play regular without the manual drifting or any assist but I do need to work on it

Manual drift with auto-item. I like to get new items and my dropped items more often block a shell from behind, or take out a character. There is the chance I can get hit when the new items are coming in but overall I have found it more helpful.

I feel kinda weirded out with both control schemes, but more with the Manual. What I mean is that both seem incomplete: Auto Drift allows you to determine whether it will be a slight turn or a drift, but in some case (cars) that's really not true, sometimes you've gotta turn too much just to make a simple drift, and I've already lost so many combo multipliers because some cars take too much time to make a drift, while other's get too much drift and stray you from the coins easily (let's not forgetthat it also doesn't allow Ultraminiturbo, or, in other words, it doesn't have the same combo potential as it's counterpart). The Manua Drift, on the other hand, allows you have more control on drifting and to get more combos, but you lose control on the slight turns. It just feels weird for me that you can't gently scroll for the right/left just to have a little turn without jumping sideways and doing a drift on a straight path. You either stay still to move straight, or radically turn for a difte. Summing it up, none of them grant you true freedom over the movement.
