    Coo-coo is popular dish in the Caribbean that is typically made with cornmeal. In Trinidad & Tobago Coo-coo is commonly served with callaloo and stewed fish or fried fish.

    I like when you say “your” recipe because sometimes we are not open to different methods or ways. To me, cooking is chemistry and artistic creativity. Definitely will try your method.
    Anything with a good gravy is 👌

    I'm from Barbados so I never knew about adding coconut milk until I tried Renee's recipe two years ago. I shared it with my Trini neighbors and nobody complained.
    I think because I used a wide shallow pan like hers, I didn't feel like I was working as hard as when I cook it in a regular pot.

    I like to add pimentoes carrots and pumpkin also to my coo-coo and serve it with Callaloo,Stewed fish and a Garden Salad!! Great job!!👍

    🇹🇹 I didn't follow your recipe as I omitted the ochro but I followed your method and as you said "firm but giggly" which I refer to as " melt in your mouth". The cou-cou came out great so good you didn't need anything to go with it. 🇹🇹

    So I am not a cou cou lover...but my hubby is so I decided to make this dish to go with crab & calaloo with stewed fish...now my hubby's method is diff from this so he was a lil "suspect" when I told him how I was gonna make it...after I made it...hubby only had one problem-- I didnt make enough😆😆 he was impressed and loved it....thank ya Baidawi 🎉

    Made this cou cou today for my mom (ate it with stew chicken, callaloo and potato salad) and it was so smooth and silky. Very delicious and we both really loved it. Looking forward to trying more recipes.

    The coo coo came out light and fluffy, perfect! I struggle to get the right texture. I will try your method. But this is hard work boy! I can't with you and Cristal.. swizzle stick, whisk..what kind ah ting is dis! LOL

    I did not like Coo Coo either growing up but I can eat it now. I normally eat it with Callaloo and Fried Fish

    I know you mention it's the national dish of Barbados, thank you. But please don't confuse the two, Barbados cou cou is nothing like this. We like ours simple, okras, cornmeal, salt, water. The flavour is all in the gravy, whatever is your choice. Thanks again for the mention/history of the dish.
