Here's a big heads up that I mentioned in the video but some people glossed over. ONLY pokemon holding breeding items will breed. So either DON'T give your ditto destiny knots, or make the other 3 hold everstones or something.
3 to 3 with items not working
Let me know what I'm doing wrong
I've tried destiny knots on each ditto with 3 male have nothing, didn't breed
I've tried destiny knots on each male with 3 dittos have nothing, didn't breed
All 6 pokemon have items, didn't breed
Does breed
1 ditto with destiny knot
3 males with items each
Or 1 ditto with destiny knot, males with no items
Looking at your video
All no items does breed
Conclusion
Its not possible to breed 3 ditto with 3 male with any items?
Does it matter what item the pokemon (other then Ditto) hold?
Like could I give the 3 starters all like, the EV training items while ditto holds the destiny knot and it wouldn't matter?
But I want to IV breed a shiny skeledirge for raids. Can't they both have destiny knots, or one knot and one everstone?
@Pass Word well
As explained on my experiment
Talking about 3 ditto with 3 starters
If the dittos have destiny knot and the 3 starters have iv training items
This scenario doesn't breed
If you are talking about 1 ditto 3 starters
Yes it will breed as per my experiment
@Claregammer101 if u are referring to 1 ditto 1 bird
Then it will breed
1 ditto 3 birds, will breed but no point because each time the game generates an egg, it's pairing 1 at a time anyway
3 dittos 3 birds, won't breed, I assume
After all this research, Austin is the real Pokemon Professor. Let's get him a Pokemon PhD!

Just a quick tip for the breeders; Psyduck can breed with every starter in scarlet and violet.
So would a foreign psyduck and a not foreign starter would have mesuda boosts??
@@pablotwigman21 yea 😊
Very helpful thank you!!
@@pablotwigman21 yes it would.
That’s kinda weird ngl
Fair warning to everyone triple-Masuda-Method-hunting the starters: Sprigatito and Fuecoco are in the same Egg Group, so if your breeding partners are opposite gender, make sure they’re from different languages for the Shiny boost! You’ll also notice slightly more of the female starter’s Eggs
you can just have all the starters be male (which is the most common anyway) and then have the Ditto be foreign (which is the preferred way by most anyway) so its highly unlikely for someone to encounter this issue honestly
@@johnnyp1986 Not really, it’s WAY easier to trade for three random foreign starters and use 5IV or 6IV Ditto you found yourself in your own language. Since male-female ratio is 7-1, you have a 1/3 chance basically of one of your three starters just being a female. There’s too much demand nowadays for foreign 5-6IV Ditto, it’s tricky to get three as soon as you start the game, without good Shinies or Apriballs to trade
@@NoahRSilva it’s not hard to get a foreign ditto. I literally got on in surprise trade and I’ve yet to get all foreign starters. Obviously if you want perfect IV Ditto that’s gonna be harder to trade.
Friendly reminder that in front of the Area Zero Entrance you can run left (or right) infinitely because the camera follows you.
Makes hatching eggs as easy as it was back in Pokémon X/Y where you would use a rubber band or a coin on the joycon so it does circles until the eggs hatch
Hey - might be hard via text, but could you explain this a bit further? I'd like to try it out
@@captain_britain I haven’t tested but this is what it sounds like. Fly to area zero. Walk off the ramp to the stony area between the ramp and the gate. Hold left (or right). Done.
@@captain_britain hey fastest way to hatch eggs is a Pokémon with flame body in your group then fly to uva acedmey go to the top battle court. Then hold the left stick straight to the left. Player will run around in a circle and egg will hatch very fast. I hold down the stick with my thumb while I watched TikTok videos lol
Man with the $2k sandwich my eggs hatch in like 1 minute We don’t need to cheese that any quicker IMO. On top of already needing the egg power for breeding eggs in the first place.
Y’all do you, but like I think that’s over kill.
@@ConnorKrohnicles this is the way. In front of the bottom of the ramp you should be able to just hold down left on the joystick and camera follows you around causing you to go in circles.
the level of scrutiny and science that goes into your tests appeases the engineer inside of me. great videos. I'm a new follower as of a few weeks ago but your content is unlike anything ive seen. very robust and you truly care about the game so i like that
I love the Breeding Changes and the added Sandwich stuff. They really nailed this game outside of the Frame rate issues and Slow loading screens. Feel like the next installment could be one of the best games every when they iron out these issues and add onto the new features.
Yeah, it's nice.
But I'm surprised people and mons in the overworld don't react to the hatching eggs.
In the anime, an hatching egg is basically a mini light show. Hard to not notice that, especially if it's happening every two minutes. 😂😂
Austin John has some of the most informative and painstakingly researched pokemon content. Straight-forward information and so well explained in every video.
For simple hatching I recommend just riding around that big circle in the middle of Levincia, you just have to hold up and a little to the side and the camera follows automatically. You may bump into npcs the first times but when you get the hang of it you will figure out the perfect place to ride in it and the perfect angle you have to hold on your joystick
I use the fairy team star base for this! No npcs and there's a big ircular island lower down perfect for riding in circles and picnics ^^
You could also go to the lighthouse in area one and hold left or right
A great place I found is up at the stadium where you challenge the elite 4. Pokemon don't spawn close to the building and there's a quick travel stop right there, don't have to navigate around NPCs 👍
For hatching I just ride around in the wild looking at random pokemon with no boosts, just shiny charm. Am 300 eggs in on my applin and have found 4 random wild shinies in that time.
Area zero engrance way better big circle no npcs no pokemon
Thank you so much for these tips. I love how streamlined breeding and shiny hunting has become. It really makes me think back to how much effort I put into shiny hunting in the past
As always, more helpful info for those of us that don’t have the time to test these theories. Thanks!
"Don't do a 5 hour hunt it'll stress ya out" ME who just finished hatching 200 zorua eggs in 1 session 🗿

So glad Austin came out with this video. I'd been hunting Fuecoco, and stopped at 1000 for a break, now I'll wait to shiny hunt three different pokemon at the same time, and see what happens. Glad to see Austin still making these videos years later from when I started watching
What were your results? I have hatched 1200 eevees (+300 Charmanders) and not a single shiny. I'm using Masuda method+ shiny charm btw
@@PolarisYun in BDSP I bred nearly an entire PC's worth of Roselia's before I got a shiny... I then did the same for Feebas...
only to get a Shiny Budew and Shiny Feebas in Pokemon GO a little later... at least my main game shinies have God Tier IVs lol
In Violet I am currently breeding for a max IV and/or Shiny Glimmet... started from a low IV one and now my current pair of Glimmet both have max Hp, Atk, Sp.Atk and every other stat is Pretty Good, I hope to get a shiny soon; and after that I will probably farm for a shiny Zorua... once I catch one
as a matter of fact, as I am typing this comment; more Eggs are spawning lol
edit: just to clarify, I am not using a Ditto... I haven't acquired a good IVed Ditto in Violet yet
Austin been exceptionally killing it with the info this gen.
I found your video's when Legends of Arceus came out and haven't stopped watching since mayne!
Same
The in depth analysis in all your videos is why i love them.
Almost every video I have seen: “Hey it’s Austin John here! Turn off your auto save.” LMAO
Ugh, this was SO helpful, i just wish I'd known about the whole everstone/destiny knot before. After going over odds on both Toxel (867) and Sprigatito (1450+) i was so about ready to give up on breeding, but i definitely could have saved myself a lot of time and headache by doing the reset method and having two sets of pkmn breeding at once. Fantastic video as always, and I'll definitely use these tips in the future. :D
Once again coming in clutch with exactly what I was wondering about right as I happened to be wondering about it! Austin you are the Realest of MVP's :D
Something that I had read and cannot confirm; when you pick up an egg with a shiny Pokémon in it, you’re “Shiny Pokémon Battled” stat on your trainer card will increase. Something worth testing at the very least. Could save a lot of time.
I just saw this comment, was this ever proven?
they said this about sword and shield but it was fake. probably someone trolling
It does. When I finally hatched my sprigatito my shinies battled turned to 1. I never encountered a shiny until that point.
@@shelbywright9134 I just saw your comment, in your example what the OP meant, was that your shinies battled would say 1 before you hatched sprigatito when it was received as an egg. Do you know if it did by any chance?
@@shelbywright9134 hes talking about seeing the shinies battled number go up *before* you hatch the eggs

Love that you thought of this too, I realized this a while ago and it helps alot, saves me like a minute and a half every thirty eggs. I always get thirty eggs (fills a whole box) which takes around 12 minutes from the food buff, then I put 5 at a time in my party and hatch them all. Usually my food buff ends before I hatchd them all but honestly the hatch speed withoutt he buff isn't long so I don't bother renewing the buff until the next 30.
Then, if the thirty I hatched have nothing I want - like no max IVs (If I'm wanting it) and/or no shiny, I reset and easy, no work necessary releasing.
also, if you catch the pokémon you’re trying to get in different balls and heal your team at a poke center it shows what ball the eggs are “in” which ofc tells you what pokémon you’re getting. a fun little thing to do :)
You can also see it from the summary
@@skylergarza8371 most based reply yet so wise.
I still love the Masuda method as someone who goes after IVs. I know you can bottle cap now extremely easily, but I like seeing the "Best"s on my judge function :P
I bred a 5 iv Shiny Charcadet and it felt AMAZING
Yes I do it to get shiny comp mons and I'll usually wonder trade my amazing or better dupes
How did you get your Masuda ditto? I have plenty of 5iv english ditto’s but haven’t been able to find a trade for a foreign one.
@@AMcPhee578 idk if you found one yet or not, but the link code for trading masuda ditto is still going strong, thats how i got mine just a few days ago.
Omg! Austin, you called the starters being in the DLC right here
As usual thanks you
Breeding is my favorite method since XY glad you make new ways of doing it now 😊
‘Dont do a 5 hour breeding session.’
“Me 3 days deep hunting shiny grimsnarl”
Not worth it just use sandwich lmfao. I only use this method for starters, spirit tomb, perserker and 7 star raids. Or maybe also zoruark
@@Seafowl wanted 0 speed iv. Cant shiny hunt and still get the IVs i want without breeding.
As always a good and informal video. You make the life of us other gamer who'd like to try different methods for breeding or hunting a shiny in the wild way easier by doing it for us, showing your results, how you did it and your effort in general. I personally really appreciate it and like to watch your videos.
It would be informational not informal
@@otamatone603 Ah, true. :D Just typed it wrong, sorry for not being native speaking. xD
Most every video I make it something that I’ve done or tested myself, and then I know I can make the video. The destiny knot phenomenon works for everstone as well. I gave an everstone to one of my three starters and the only eggs that came out were of that one starter only
So much work and passion for pokemon. You have my respect Sir. New pokemon professor In DLC should be Austin. Thank you for everything ♥️
Super happy for you finding that shiny at 8:20, but from a guy who is over odds hunting fuecoco by over 100 encounters I will say it’s a little painful
I used to get all my Pokémon info like literally 100% of it from mystic umbreon and after probably a decade I started watching other people and dude your content is hands down FIRE please keep it up great work my guy.
Skeledirge's hot pink is soooo nice!!! Wish the white and black were swapped though since hot pink and black go so good together but it's still amazing!
You make such amazing videos. You are our real life pokemon professor. Thank you professor Austin for teeaching us so much!!!
I was just wondering about this 3 ditto method, thanks for saving me time 😅
Amazing job man! A true Professor!
I usually do about 30 min of collecting from 5 'mon + Ditto, then put them in my party with a Volcarona and run around between raid dens, hatching and trying to find wild shinies while I'm at it too xD It makes it less tedious :)
what about the 5 ditto and 1 mon no offense to masuda method but rileys method might be more effective
@@joshuatorres101 😂
I made a sandwich that had Sparkling Power Fire for Fuecoco. Not one egg even appeared in the 30 mins and I wasted my herbs. Why? I don't understand.
@@keithpalacios9417 I tried using 3 Ditto with Destiny Knots and no eggs appeared, afterwards I removed two Ditto and added 2 normal Pokémon and tried again, had no issues getting eggs. What I assume the issue is is that having multiple Ditto with Destiny Knots prohibits the production of eggs
@@duragle5213 I was only using one, Bro. The problem is that I already had 3 active Meal Powers, but none was "Egg Power". I wasted my herbs.
It's insane how much work you put into this! It motivates me man but you are the GOGOAT.
I discovered this on accident once. I had my fire starter male, then a female Zoroark, then a female Lucario. I ended up with 3 eggs... It was a picnic and I wasn't really even trying for anything. The first 2 eggs were Zorua and the third was riolu. I thought it was some kind of mistake. It is really nice to know that you can breed for several different pokemon at once.
I just caught the first riolu I saw initially and didn't realize it was female. It used to be that the gender ratio favored finding a male. I only knew that I wanted a Zoroark and Lucario on my team.
I always find your content helpful and amazing!! Keep up the awesome work and have a great day!!!
Thank you Austin for all you do
I tested this method with the 3 starters together with the ditto, however, only my sprigatito was equipped with an Everstone. Result: All the eggs turned out to be sprigatito eggs. I don't know if this was already general knowledge, but apparently Everstone indicated which pokemon the ditto should breed with.
I only know that you can lock in Pokemon by giving them a destiny knot.
What if all 3 hold everstone?
@@Commoncurates interesting... I haven't tested it with the 3 yet
can confirm if all hold everstone ull get all 3 pokemon. I'm currently hunting Skeledirge& Charizard doing masuda with just 1 ditto& am getting 1 egg of each in rotation evenly
Important note on turning off autosaves with eggs: I don't know how bred shinies are calculated in this game, but I know in Sun and Moon the shiny rolls are already done out to a certain number of eggs. If SV calculates egg shinies the same way as SM did, then turning off autosaves and resetting would be a total waste of time. Just be careful unless you have confirmation that the rolls are done when the egg is generated!
Edit: if the shiny Fuecoco he hatched was hatched using the autosave mass release method, then disregard the above concerns ;)
i got shinies after the 4th reset with egg power 3 (so about 3 boxes full of hatching and then reseting)
In SV the RNG gets seeded using a CryptoSecure function for all types of encounters, including eggs, which makes it completely unpredictable. SM was unique, there was an egg RNG seed which followed a predictable path every time an egg was accepted/declined. This seed didn't change after restarting the game either.
Its the same in this. By resetting, youre getting different eggs than before since the eggs are non existant.
However, if your box is full of eggs, save, hatch, then reset, then your eggs will be the same hatches
Bro this is a switch game, they changed the way eggs work and to answer your question is all random and cant be decrypted aka no patterns like gen 7
This is wild, I thought what if we could add more dittos for breeding. And you manifested a video!
I got a sprigatito shiny off your video! Solid help Austin!
Thank you for doing the research!
Been breeding for a shiny Sprigatito for about 3 weeks now, just over 3k eggs in and loosing hope but watching this video has given me determination to keep pushing forwards! Thank you!
Omg do you have a foreign ditto?? If not I have an extra I can trade you! I hatched my shiny Sprig in 343 eggs with masuda!
I am also pretty unlucky with masuda and Sprigatito xD but I am 'only' over 1k so far, so there is hope I won't get to the 3k xDD
Jesus christ sounds like your problem may just be luck.
2 shiny charmanders in 50 eggs. 0 shiny sprig in 700 egg. Starting to hate sprig.
Also breeding for shiny Sprigatito, over 1.5k eggs in, good to know I'm not alone but the thought of doing this for 3 weeks terrifies me lmao
The genuine smile Austin gets when he gets a shiny, even after all this time, is infectious and makes me so happy for him.
Austin John you are one of my favourite people on the entire internet. I love the work you do, and I love the way you make your videos, and I absolutely love your passion and personality. You are just so friggin cool. Love ya.
I love yours clips of pokemon. And i.m great fan of auston john plays❤️
Great video, I did notice that when I was using Everstone the other breeding partners in my team didn't have an effect on the eggs, so it's cool to see some hard confirmation around it. I usually do all my shiny breeding in handheld mode so I can use my screens for other things and I've found that setting the switch to auto-sleep after 3 minutes has been great to automatically track and maximize the egg power since the egg power pauses when the switch sleeps. It's about 5-9 eggs when I turn the screen back on and I usually get 60-70 eggs after 30 minutes this way with just one Masuda pair so I'm curious how a similar optimisation could be done with 3 pairs.
I use Los Platos for my egg. I start my picnic outside near the pokemon center, after I have all my eggs I then have three different paths I can take. 1. Going back and forth the main strip inside Los Platos 2. Still inside Los Platos going around in the circle forming a D shape 3. Going all the way around the full circle including the dirt path that leads to the school town and coming back around to Los Platos coming back in I cut to the left of the circle and then making a sharp right on the road and restarting that path.
Just wanted to say thank you for your help I was able to complete game with your guides and help
It's that first statement that has my attention. I need herba mystica. I do have another switch and both games. Looking forward to hearing more on that!
Great content, thanks for sharing!
idk why but austins laugh when he finds a shiny gives me life
yeah its so wholesome and genuine
15:20 this is so true. I did so much Masuda breeding in SwSh that I just completely burned out and never even finished the DLC. Monotonous breeding is so exhausting. 😢
4:32 doing this to transfer the eggs into your party speeds up the process SO much!
I have to message you I was watching this video and got distracted when you got your shiny fuecoco then look down while hatching fuecoco eggs and got a shiny one so that's really awesome and thank you!
As always another fantastic, to the point informative video! In terms of clearing out boxes another alternative could be to use the Macro Mode on a Switch-Up device, manually removing an entire box, save the macro and then use it on boxes, you could also then afk the process to have a short break. I'm glad to see that you found a better work around for those who don't have that device (and in general) :D
Of course this video drops just a few hours after I hatched my shiny starter! It only took a few days!
same boat. sprigatito and fuecoco down... just have quaxley now
Charizard took me about 350 eggs smh
You are a gem in this community. THANK YOU AJP!
Egg hatching is my favorite so much!! Idk why but I love running round paldea and exploring while egg hatching and completing my dex too
I’m not sure but I think how well the pair get along still helps with egg numbers in picnics. I tried breeding my scyther with scatterbug and the eye eye one (snoodle? I forgot the name) and barely got any eggs in 15 mins but when I tried with the spider one scyther was obsessed with it and followed it around everywhere. I got a ton of eggs :) so now I have a scyther that’s in love with a walking ball of yarn, lol.😅
it'd be so nice to hatch multiple eggs at once, that would be a game changer
Uhh, can't you already hatch five eggs at once?
The info about destiny knot and everstone makes sense. I recently tried to breed a ditto holding destiny knot with a wooper holding everstone and oricorio holding power band and all the eggs were wooper eggs
Well wooper probably had to hold the stone right? Just like meowth or something
Amazing video!!!
I know having a shiny foreign ditto doesn’t increase the odds but in my mind it makes me feel like it does
Using a Masuda ditto, I got scary lucky and got shiny Sprigatito and Fuecoco in less than 10 eggs each - in both cases, I got a shiny from my first picnic!!!
Lucky
Using this info, even if you are trying for a single Pokémon you could still put three in your party with three dittos and get more eggs just of that one Pokémon than you would with just one pair breeding. Good stuff to know
This is gonna be clutch when I get and play the game on Christmas! Thanks and cheers 🤟🏻⚡️🌬💙
This is exactly what I've been thinking of doing for the last couple days (im currently shiny hunting for competitive starters). Was wondering on the ins and outs Thank you, good sir
How do you have have it set up I’m trying to do the same thing but I’m getting no eggs
@angelzuniga3713
When breeding I take these steps for every non-ditto parent for every breed. i used an ability patch for my starters hidden abilities so they can be bred down to nearly every egg, gave my starter an everstone to lock the nature for the eggs if beneficial, gave ditto destiny knot.
Make or buy a level 2 egg power sandwich, then sit in picnic mode and breed 10-20 eggs. With the judge function I look for the best IV spread, that becomes the new parent to hold the everstone. Rinse and repeat until satisfied.
Every 5 min or so I generally end up with 7-10 eggs
@@andrewpickett722 how many dittos do you use
@angelzuniga3713 only 1 right now I need to get a couple Mesuda Ditto
I tried to breed my starter without an egg power sandwich and gave up after 90 mins without getting a single egg. I'm amazed at the difference the sandwiches make.
Professor Austin always to the rescue. I've gotten some shinies following your methods, particularly scarlet paradox mons. Thanks!
shout out to understanding sample sizes and caveating your findings.
Found out a few breeding things.
If you have 2 Pokemon with destiny knots then they will be the only ones to breed, so if you have 2 dittos, both with destiny knots then they won't breed with the other Pokemon.
Also, if a Pokemon has an ever stone (because you want to keep the reginal form) then it also will be the only one ditto breeds with
Thank you for this, had no idea why I wasn't getting any eggs!
This was discussed at 10:19 all items or no items :)
Your dedication is astounding. With the sole exception of Serebii, you have been my #1 source for information this generation. Thank you for continuing to make this game easier for us to navigate!
Random but I hadn't realized until I watched this video that they eliminated the swap breeding loophole in SwSh, so it never occurred to me that I could save before collecting the eggs and then just reset my game if I didn't hatch a shiny. This is going to save me *so* much time. The lack of mass release has been an enormous timesuck with Masada Method in SV -.-
That was one wild picnic for Ditto
Great video!
For what it's worth on your trainer card where it says shinies battled, it seems based off one experience I had, that the counter only goes up if you send a shiny into a regular battle.
I had received a traded shiny Diglett. I never threw it into a regular battle. I got it close to the required level to evolve with quick battle, then used a rare candy to level it up and start evolving it. Afterwards, I threw the Dugtrio up as leader and did a regular battle this is what increased the shiny counter on my card.
I had been tracking each shiny I encountered manually (and comparing it to the shiny battle counter) and was keeping them in a separate box. At the time it never registered the Diglett as a shiny I battled. I Masuda'd out a Shiny Diglett and then did a normal battle and finally got the increase on the card for my Diglett.
I have now seen 19 shinies and of those 19 shinies one was a Chansey I accidentally knocked out. I would recommend that anyone with shinies use candy, normal battles, or trainers to level up shinies to add the evolved forms to your counter.
Also for tracking shinies (using the trainer card (shinies battled) counter is inefficient) check your pokedex and use the D-Pad UP/Down or LEFT-RIGHT to toggle between the alternate forms of Pokémon if you have seen the shiny you'll have the sparkle icon on the Pokémon summary and pokedex screens.
Otherwise, if you don't see it you might have blundered like I did with the Diglett/Dugtrio.
It should be obvious but each Pokémon only counts once, I have 2 Shiny Flittle and had 2 Shiny Deino. I doubt the trainer card will ever say you've battled more than 400 shinies (until they add dlc) and right now since Charizard and Cinderace don't exist in the Paldea Dex (The National Dex isn't there yet if ever?) you won't see them listed.
I don't know if there's a reward in game for seeing all shiny variants, or even all foreign language variants, but I did find the fact that the pokedex lets you see that now to be pretty interesting.
I hatched the couple Fuecoco eggs I had bred to trade them away for the other starters as I was filling my dex and the first egg I hatched was a Shiny! It was insane, that's THE best shiny luck I've ever had
So true. Im 7 hours in masuda + shiny charm for a male ralts and its so annoying. Also after the 5 eggs hatch in your party just release the 5 pokemon before you start hatching another set. It doesn’t save time but it help your boxes from getting cluttered.
Doesnt shiny charm not effect eggs
@@OreoAndJeans The shiny charm does
That's the same method I was just using for the shiny Spiritomb I just hatched. :D
Honestly, I would recommend just using a sandwich power to hunt for Ralts. Unless you’re going for IVs and natures there’s no reason to go through the stress of masuda methoding for one.
I actually was able to find two shiny Ralts in about three hours on the first area right before the first pokémon center, where you can find igglybuff and fidough. Keep in mind that Ralts only spawns during the daytime, so every half hour you wanna turn back the clock and try again. But it’s way easier imo.
@@chillcloak ive tried that area for 3 days with no luck. Then i switched to the kirlia spot near levincia and still the same. I hatched over 400 eggs still no shiny ralts. Im going try resetting the tera kirlia next
I've been wondering if I could use one joycon for weeks now! Great video
Austin is the best pokemon youtuber and connoisseur, S tier video!
Try having the pokemon play with a ball while breeding or increase affection values. I average around 60-65 eggs per lvl. 2 egg power sandwich this way.
Just want to add: absolutely love your videos, Austin. I'm a long time pokemon player, but new fan to your channel and your videos have helped immensely in navigating the amazing intricacies of these newer games.
I’m having such good shiny egg luck. I’ve been doing masuda method one day a week, but I end up only playing for like 35 minutes! I hatched a shiny Galarian Meowth with egg #3 and WHILE I WAS WATCHING THIS VIDEO hatched shiny Sprigatito with egg #6 😂
i like how he posted this way before the dlc info got released and he said “who knows the starters may be in the DLC and now we know they’ll be found in the wild
Austin John, just want to say you are a king, you keep it real and put in the hours I wish I could, give great advice and guide people to their goals…balla!
Hopefully this gets seen and answered. Would having just one of the pokemon you are shiny hunting with several ditto increase the amount of eggs received?
Just attempted this w/ 1 ditto and 3 starters, was able to get 52 eggs in a half hour 👍🏽
Best part is you can see his excitement still when getting a shiny
You’re the man Austin!
This video couldn't have came at a worse time.
I just decided to toss in the towel on breeding a shiny Bounsweet for a friend. Over 5 pages of breedjects and I decided to call it good.
But now...now I'm gonna try multitasking to bend some luck my direction!
Tried for shiny Charmander for 4 days no luck. Tossed Mankey with Charmander and Ditto. Got shiny Mankey and Charmander in one batch 30 eggs. Lol so dont give up.
@Diablo Impact No one is acting with a sense of FOMO, where did you get that from? Reaching a bit. If you dont care why be an ass in comments. Just move on.
Starters are in fact, in the DLC 😅
I can't remember if you covered this in the video but something I just found out while doing this method of multi breeding if you give multiple Pokemon items like the destiny knot, you don't get any eggs! I waited about 6 minutes with my foreign ditto, charizard and grafaiai (Both zard and graf were holding destiny knots) with an egg power lvl 2 active and didn't get a single egg! As soon as I removed the destiny knot from one of The Pokemon a re set up the picnic I received an egg in the first minute! Sorry if this has already been covered I just wanted mention it in case it hasn't been mentioned! Great video as always. :)
I have mad respect for you. You've built a channel to a point where you go into hiding for 6 or 7 months waiting on a games release. Then you pump out a fre good videos and then the rest is just things people can learn from a Google search lol. You got it figured out. Props to you.
I learned about the everstone trick the hard way. I had a party of 5 random mons and a Ditto with Magnemite being one holding an everstone. 55 eggs later… 55 Magnemite🙂
What's the everstone trick? I know he briefly mentioned it and Destiny Knots but I'm new to Shiny hunting and didn't quite understand that part of the video.
@@NixieShimo i think the everstone thing is when you have for example; Hoppip, Tarountula, Quaxly, and Ditto. when you put the everstone on Quaxly the Ditto does not breed with the other Pokémon that doesn't have the everstone, Hoppip and Tarountula. i don't know alot about the picnic Pokémon breeding so i might be wrong lol
Does obtaining a egg that would hatch a shiny increase your shiny count on your trainer card? If so, you could check your trainer card after obtaining a few boxes of eggs to see if you need to hatch them.
I just recently got my fuecoco shiny and was checking before and after collecting the eggs. My shiny counter didn't go up until I actually hatched the shiny
Btw you can mass release on Pokémon home
So it just takes max 2 minutes to get things done for the switching between apps.
I like easier method. Thanks austin john!
