I wasn't there... You probably know this, or maybe you don't. People often can't go out without their wife. I don't think its abnormal for someone to assume you have the same dynamic, especially since the viewers only see you with her. Last night I went to a friends bar with my wife, She is automatically invited to anything I do. There is no such thing as "guys night out" although every now and then she tells me to go without her. Anyway, we went to this bar that serves food and had a drink and wings. 3 different guys sat next to us over the hour or so that we were there and all 3 of them told us they live close and had to go after one drink because their wifes, or girlfriends, didn't know they were there, they just stopped by on the way home from work.
When I'm out and someone infers my wife doesn't know I'm out, I just laugh. I don't need to show some random dude, I'm a good or bad husband. Only one that needs to know that is my wife, and mabe my 28 year old daughter so she knows what respect is. Clearly you are a good husband, reasonable people know that.
I think most my friends here have gone out with me without there wife. Not sure why that should be an issue. Unless.....
