- I am totally in love with the new Amigo sampler by Stekker & PotenzaDSP!
It's based on the old Commodore Amiga chip and it has a super crunchy and low fi sound! It inspired me to create old school intelligent drum and bass. A sound I grew up with!
Usually, I don't share links to the plugins since I'm not paid or affiliated for these videos but check this one out here: www.potenzadsp.com/amigo/
Thanks for watching and have a lovely day! 💜

lovely vid, glad u like amigo :) nice editing too, subbed !
Thanks mate! Amazing job with the plugin! From the crunchy sound which I am in love with, to the great interface and the simplicity of the whole thing. No menu diving, everything is useful and immediate. I'm looking forward to your future work and wish you great success with Amigo! 💜
@@oscilop since u mentioned in the video we actually made an online theme editor already two days ago :) it has a random color feature, and u can name them + download just keep a local folder with different ones and drag and drop directly onto amigo to load them or use the [load] button to open them
@@stekker1 that's super cool! but it would be way nicer if you find a way to integrate that in the plugin so it's faster and more immediate. nice job creating that regardless. 😊
@@stekker1 bro, you don’t sleep?
@@iShredStreets im just in different timezone mate haha
As a former 1990s Sound Engineer in Beatfarms studio London I love the LESS IS MORE you can JUSt get on with the the problem I find with modern Cubase etc. is you can just spead TOO much time getting to learn the new features etc. etc.. and it gets in the way of the point ...ie just making MUSIC .. I have just got this and absolutely LOVE it ... its the s***T
love that u understand our vision :) fun, simple and quick no complex hidden menu's
Spot on! Enjoy it, it's awesome! 💜
Yes. More using ears and feeling than looking and thinking
Less is more for certain styles of music but not modern styles. Mid 90s Drum n Bass was being made with basic DAWS and through analog desks, the production style back then was very simple in its approach, probably even sidechaining wasn't really a thing, layering kicks etc... But you cant get away with that if your trying to make the modern psytrance, EDM, etc, because those producers are like scientists in a lab.
The 90s was write a track and you where pretty much done, as long as you mixed a nice sound, balanced bass and drums you where good to go. Today, your up against guys using 300 bits of automation, 100s of sidechaining trickery, multitudes of fx layering etc...
Does this come with samples?
This VST is pure gold! Within minutes of downloading I was making textured bass and slicing breaks that sound like my old school cassettes from the 90's. Lowering the sample rate on drum breaks gives it the missing texture that take work crafting inside DAWs. Thanks for your post, this VST is the magic sauce I've been looking for as a sample editor.
My pleasure and I'm glad you're having fun with it. All kudos go to the developers! 💜
Bro, can you explain me how to slice break sample? Only that i can is use slice mode and plugin is cut sample by red linea and what i do next? How to use chopped samples in piano roll? Fl studio 21
@@Morphine-jc9te there’s hundreds of posts on YT showing this step by step. Good luck friend!
@@sandwich-breath thats what i try, but cant find exactly guides, only reviews
@@Morphine-jc9te check out STRANJAH’s post. He walks through it most of the features and builds a basic track.
very cool, thx for showing it
Thank you! 😊
Wonderful plugin. I'm on holidays now and if there is one thing that makes me look forward to returning is to play further with this one. ^^. Great video and review. Subbed. Oh btw: you can use slide when you turn on chord mode by flipping back and forth between the two modes to turn it on. It's such a cool effect. ;-). Cheers!
Thanks for your kind words, please enjoy your holiday! There's always time to play with these stuff but resting is important from time to time. 😊
4:00 my reaction everytime i drag a pad into amigo :D
haha nice one!
looks sick dude, nice video
thank you! 😊
Just what I was looking for
Enjoy it!
the awesome sampler!!!!
It's awesome indeed!
beatiful vid man
thank you!! 💜
Nice video !
Thank you!
Great VST
It's fantastic!
👌
what sort of pads do you think are best for poly?
How do you mean?
@@oscilop subjective of course, not all samples sound good with the polyrhythmic feature especially ones with a digital edge. I've been doing some testing and found more that don't sound good than those that do. It seems the more simple less attack more release one note type drones sound the best.
@@jkdrake1 Try sampling one note and then play a chord with it. Or sample a chord and play it with single notes. Not everything you throw at it will sound good so it's up to you to figure out what you like and don't like. 😊
where do you get those samples
I played few synths that I recorded and put that into Amigo. 😊
Liked and subbed
Thank you!
💥🏅👻
bingo.
The best $10 anyone has ever spent in a plugin
Best 14$ I've spent
enjoy it!
I spent £10 and got fuck all - it's a rip.
Just contact them and let them know, devs aren’t out to scam people for a tenner
@@hollywood4834 did that twice - all I got was zilch. If they aren't deliberately scamming people they might as well be cos they aren't honouring their obligations.
what happened? contact the devs and sort it out please 😊
They've don't answer emails sent to the address they supply.
@@pd177 try this instagram page instagram.com/ssstkr/ he is very responsive. What happened btw? Do you have trouble installing it?
nope this plugin wont make you produce better music
In fact you will still suck, if you already do
But if you are a G like me this is cool
🤣
