Man, there’s a long time for that to get safety approved. We’re talking 15-20 years minimum. The Tesla self driving car trials have already killed several people. And thats with a human in the driver seat allowing the car to drive itself. They still have years to get the cars 100% safety approved for the road, let alone a Semi truck weighing 80,000 plus pounds with a combined tractor trailer length of 65-70ft long. I don’t see autonomous semis road safety approved no time soon. It may even be 30-40 years from now.
