- Welcome back to episode 22 of professional surfer, Kolton Sullivan's vlog series, SHRALP STORIES. In this episode, Kolton poses the question: "Build it or buy it??" He chooses to build it this time around and plans on showing you the process of building a surfboard. So in Part one of the series he starts his morning off surfing a twinny and then heads into the shaping room to shape another fish. He does his daily stop at one of the biggest surf shops in California, UsedSurf to check out some fish boards looking for inspiration.

Looks fun. There was a place here in San Diego (North Park) where you could shape a board with the help of some of the workers. Was a cool idea. Bummer I didn’t get a chance to try it.

@@used_surf alright I see, from my experience in shaping I’d definitely measure it as I believe your rocker template is about the most important and least visual part of a surfboard
