Man, that dude could sing. 100% class.
I have many of the Platters records. They were one of my favorites. My late hubby and I saw them live twice. Once when we were dating, and for our 30th anservisery. I will never forget it.
The lyrics are still the best I’ve ever heard. ♥️
I was 9 years old when this song come out. Still love it. Know all the words. 💙💙💙
I LOVE THIS SONG!!! THANK YOU!!!
I have their greatest hits, “On my word of Honour” and “Only You” are both really good
Oh wow, even in the dark, your smile & eyes are poppin' and I say that very respectfully!!! Romance is the beauty of old school music, as you can feel it in the emotion & passion of the song!!! It feels like the artist(s) is singing to you, not singing at you!!! The element of pure, sweet romance is what's missing in today's music!!! Enjoy the Old School Classics because there will never be anything like them again!!!
Very true
Lovely song. Such a romantic, heartfelt classic. This is surely one to dance under a starry, moonlit sky with. There was also an 80s chocolate commercial, with this being its theme song. Can anyone please tell me which commercial that was and how to get it also. Thank you very much in advance🙏💖💖💕.
Thank you very much for reacting to my request of one of my favorite groups of my time The Platter and one of many awesome songs by them " Twilight Time". Another artist I would like you to react to is Jackie Wilson and a great performance of a classic song titled Danny Boy ( live). He was one of Elvis fave singer. Once again Thanks!!!👍👍❤️
I grew up with the music of The Platters, 'cause my dad was a big fan, especially love ''Only You''.
my prayer is my favorite platters song that i would recommend
the platters were classy and cool
They just don't make music like that any more. Beautiful lyrics and Tony Williams' unbelievable voice!
The Great Pretender put them on the charts.
This is 50’s music. My Prayer snd Smoke Gets in Your Eyes are good Ones.
Nice review of the platters, i agree with you totally, I think you would give a nice review of Elvis Presley singing Bridge over Troubled waters 1972, maybe you would consider doing that performance one day!
where it says in the song (when purple colored curtains mark the end of day.)before the use of fake grass surrounding the edge of a grave at a funeral to hide the mud or soil ,clay etc, purple silk curtains were used(2,long one,s for the sides & 2,short one,s for the head end & feet end of the grave, hung off bamboo canes)this is why some people including myself, hate the color purple, & consider it assotiated with death & very unlucky.
Nat King Cole's hit recording "Stardust" is too good to forget.
Fantastic music choice. One of my favorite songs. Please react to another great artist Jackie Wilson, a woman, a lover and a friend. Thank you.
I grew up with music like this and miss it, unless I can find an oldies station, or play my own recordings, 45rpm's and 33rd vinyl of course. :)) That was the time to listening to music, growing up, learning about love, falling in love... a wonderful time.
Love THEM ❤
I love their music and the music from the 50's and the doo wop era of music!! Oh, please don't forget my request " Deliver The Word" War. How do we donate to your channel?
