I have already fallen in love with Alexander Dreymon’s portrayal of the character Uhtred, but after listening to his responses during this interview I have formed an even greater respect for the actor and his craft. ❤️

I loved Utred. By the end of the show I felt like I was part of his family band. So sad that it’s over. I think Alex will see great opportunities in the future. He carried this series so well. A beautiful man and human!

Camille, me too! I've never been so moved by a character - ever. When I watch shows and movies, I'm somewhat detached--don't get emotionally invested, but Uhtred changed that!

"The Last Kingdom" was by far one of thee BEST series i have watched in years. I would say, the series ranks along the greats like the "Walking Dead" or "Game of Thrones" there are probably many more too, others would say, but "The Last Kingdom" was just awesome,
I hope there is more to come, i really do.
Getting a sequel like movie to wrap up the final 3 books titled Seven Kings Must Die. Matter of fact, Alex put out a video yesterday saying filming is done for the film so hopefully we’ll get it around this time next year.
The vikings show was really good also. I like the last kingdom better but not by much.
Vikings, Game of thrones, and the last kingdom. All equal and maybe vikings leading with the last kingdom on its heels
@@BillyJohnson-jk6bo i have watched all series you mentioned. Vikings leads but this character uthred is awesome but sad he is fictional that’s why in this series we see king never mentioned him in his chronicle. This somehow made be feel he might be in real 😂
There's no more of the series but I heard they're making a film and he will reclaim his role as Uhtred!! Can't wait!!
Alexander did a stellar performance playing Utred. So impressive! The casting Director should get kudos for choosing so many phenomenal actors in TLK.
The writer created the story but Alex created a legendary character that will be played again but never the same or as well.
The scene Alex talks about with David Dawson is one of, if not my favorite of the whole series. In my humble opinion, more Oscar worthy than much cinema that actually win these types of awards.
The most emotional scene in the series was between Uhtred and Sigtryggr. Both actors did such an amazing job.

One of my favorites was at the end with Uhtred and Brida before she was killed. It was a beautiful scene
King Alfred and Uhtred- that was certainly the best scene. Although I also really liked the scene in season 3 with Uhtred and Brida after Ragnar was killed. So emotional!

I love the Utred character. He did not descend into psychosis or become a hateful person even with all of the pain and sadness he went thru.

I really fell in love with the entire cast of the Last Kingdom . They all brought so much authenticity to their role and really connected to the characters they played . I haven’t seen such remarkable acting in a while . They all deserve continued success and i wish them all the best . Im so sad its over .
I wish Netflix had advertised it better or I wouldn't have skipped over it for all of these years. Thankfully my brother told me to check it out and I was instantly captivated by Alex and his acting and the story. This is the best series and storyline since GOT for me. I didn't want it to end
Congratulations to Alexander Dreymon in portraying Utred so well in the Last Kingdom. You brought Ured to our drawing room that I felt I may have lived as someone during that period of time. A great actor.
That scene with Uhtred and Alfred is also my number 1 scene, Alex. The acting was just amazing.

I waited until I'd finished all the books until I watched the series.
Sometimes the TV version isn't as good as the books but this series nailed it. Loved every minute. Uhtred is an amazing character and Alexander played him perfectly 😊
I am 81 years old and I won't be around when he receives awards and he will receive them. The Academy Awards are a contemporary losing award system that is no longer relevant. Alexander is an amazing actor and I wish him the best.

I am an old lady, lol, with many many years of being an avid fan of the actor’s craft. Alexander’s portrayal of Uhtred is near the top of the list and after watching some of these interviews, it’s easy to know why. He drew this character from his soul and from his ability to draw from himself and from others the humanness that we all are and to bring that to his craft. I deeply admire him and am looking forward to not only the upcoming movie, but to anything else that this man brings to us.
When Alexander was talking about his accent on the show and a pattern, he was referring to his speech/accent and NOT the lines/script. He knew not to correct and just continue on. He is a class act in his interviews! 😊❤

it was one of the best Tv shows to watch and still is. The casting of the actors, directors, writers just did such an amazing job giving us a great story told by wonderful characters add to that the beautiful views. Thank you Alexander for giving as Uthret

What an amazing series, I can t believe i discovered it so late. Shame on netflix not advertising, the whole world should know about it. I thought that after seeing GOT i ve seen it all, but this one is something else, masterpiece. The acting, soundtracks, filming...all put together for perfection.

100 he played Utrueds character flawlessly I fell in love with his character I could not count the number of times I was crying without control for him. By far my favorite ever . In love
I became really immersed in this show after I started watching last month when S5 was announced, binge watched all seasons which was a first for me. I got hooked on the magnificent display of leadership, hate, love, honor, revenge, bravery, religion, politics, hope, intricate family relationships brought to life by some truly endearing characters. Fantastic production, stellar cast, grand finale. This show is seriously underrated imo. Hope that Netflix will put in place a strong promotional campaign of the upcoming movie

Season 5 had several moments that seemed to be playing in fast-forward (it easily could have been 2 seasons) but I still really enjoyed it. The only odd thing in the series is that Uhtred has only aged about 6 years in several decades. But I think we're all willing to overlook that.

I typically do not watch violent movies. But I started with season 1 when it season 5 came out & have watched three times. Love Utred but also many other characters.

I must say…I was totally taken by Utreds mannerisms…(when he grew up of course) he was so handsome…Alexander’s portrayal of “Utread” was spot on…he did an amazing job channeling his inner Dane/ Saxon…it’s weird hearing him talk without his “Accent” lol…The last kingdom didn’t disappoint the fans…I won’t spoil anything because I’m sure there are some people that haven’t watched it yet…I will say..Job well done…Alexander should be proud of his work on this series…I loved it…someone asked me tonight “Which series did you like better? Game of Thrones or The last kingdom??? I must say…I loved both series for different reasons…if I had to choose? The last kingdom hands down…I watched it…rewatched it 3times now lol…Good luck to Alexander in his future endeavors…I can’t wait to see what he does next…looking forward to seeing him in different roles❤️♥️❤️😘

Probably one of the best series of all times. Gets you on the edge of your seat. Everything from the acting, music, beautiful scenery.

I know this sounds quaint, but he is such a nice young man. He did a wonderful job in this series. I don't know if we could have asked of him anything more. All the actors are wonderful. The show became a very meaningful experience for me as a viewer. It is truly an amazing success.
Hope we can see Alexander and other cast members on future Viking films or something. Their performances were spectacular

Last Kindon is one of my favorite TV show EVER!
I binge watched the entire season in less than 2 weeks. I’m now re-watching it all over again. I’ve watched season 5 twice already. I canNOT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE TO COME OUT.
Until than, I’m going to find more projects with Uhtred to binge watch.
For his next project i hope he is casted as a superhero. He would be one fine superhero for sure. Can’t wait to see more of him.

I enjoyed the interview. Alexander is a PHENOMENAL actor with a generous spirit and of course, a gorgeous looking man. I love TLK and sad it's ending, but I'm also excited to see what Alexander will do next. I suggest something completely opposite of Uhtred, such as a villain or comedic role.
