It happened to me yesterday... Since I'm working on the Saab thanks to the state of California .. nice one .. the saab passed smog but fail the drive cycle in which I had no idea ... I mean the homie hooked it up at the smog before.
@@AutoAutopsy yeah i realized that i'm not going to order the mirror off amazon, yet. i realized that id need the plastic thing too not just a 3m tape on mirror, esaab is the way to go lol
Very helpful. I also ordered from eSaabParts for my 2006 because I was concerned a non-OEM part wouldn't be right. Toughest part was getting the heater wires off -- they had been on there for 15 years.
Have lime green 05 Aero convertible - had wing mirror casings painted in rich black metallic as spoiler on boot and tonneau surround to add some variety ! replacing mirrors as now sixteen years old - going to clean motor and apply some WD 40 to electrical connections etc for future purposes

Had both go on my current and previous 93s. I just used 3M double sided tape on the black plastic housing and they've stayed put and still heat up fine.
In 9-5 1998 year it the same way to do it, idk about the part number. If You use not oem part the vission is kinda different so I advise to look for a cheap used oem part ;)
So if my power mirrors don't work whatsoever whats my go to to fixing that? Because my mirror was about to fall off but friend of mine just took some good glue and glued it back to the end it was on

I noticed the black sealing is cracked slightly on the mirror the same way mine is(where the front and back meet, mines much worse), do you have a video on how to remove the mirror to replace that? I was going to use something like flexseal caulking but wasn't sure if getting the old seal out was detrimental? Thanks again!!
Why does noone mention the part number? For just the glass replacement & then the complete assembly shown in the video. Yes, I know the full complete assy would also include the painted housing as well as just primed, ready to be painted. I think mine is part number Saab 30496. I would like confirmation. TIA
Big question. I have a 2005 saab and my climate control is starting too wear, is it possible to put a 2007 cluster in a 2005? They look like they’re the same size but I don’t want to buy one and be let down.

In 9-5 it turns on with rear heated window switch.
