I'm assuming they're told by managers to skimp in some places because one place always skimps and it's all spanish women. the other places i go are usually teens working and they tend to give me good portions. I remember one time one of those spanish women eyeing me like she was annoyed i asked for more too. On a side note it's the same with Panda Express. There is one place that always skimps and i know they're doing it on purpose since i confronted the girl at the register about it. she said somethign to the chef in their native language and he comes and gives me a big slab of what i was complaining about in a sloppy way like he was mad. They are so dumb tho because the other Panda is literally about 2 miles away so i never go back to this one that was relatively new because of this. they are pretty dead too despite being in an old 5 guys and a busier shopping center. I don't know if any of these are privately owned which would explain things, or maybe the managers have to meet certain profit margins within a certain amount of inventory, but quite a few chains have these inconsistent practices of trying to short people on quantity.
oh i just remembered a guy at Royal Farms awhile back gave me 6 western fries or something like that when i had ordered a large. i had gotten those tons of times so i knew what was normal and this indian guy tried to tell me they only put 6 pieces in a large which barely covered the bottom. where as every other store stacked the whole box. I never went back to that one either.

It's absolutely hit or miss even at the same location when it comes to Chipotle. I order for pickup (which I know is usually a bad move) but sometimes I'll get totally skimped and other times my bowl will be overflowing. Luckily when you get skimped you can just complain to their customer service and they'll almost always give you a coupon for a free bowl or just refund your order. I've gotten too much free food from them to be mad at this point lol

You have to know how to order. Order extra extra white rice or both rices. And get half of one protein half of another protein and your bowl will always be solid and able to feed 2 people

However, in their defense, in 2005, their burritos were as much as one hour at minimum wage (roughly 7 or 8 bucks for a burrito). Fast forward to today, the minimum wage, depending on your area, is anywhere from 15-23 dollars an hour, with a price point of around 10 dollars (for a burrito)- it is like paying 20 bucks for a burrito with no drink in today's currency. In basic economics, there is a lot more competition from similar foods, concepts, and restaurants. Second, chipotle's leadership hasn't brought new products or redesigned their menu to keep it an "experience" versus "another fast food," or raised prices accordingly, or found ways to cut costs without diminishing the experience over the last 15-20 years. Thumps down for Chiptole. .
I basically stopped going at this point. It’s gotten so small. Doesn’t come close to filling you up. And it’s mostly the meat that they have cut the portions the most. Your basically ordering a veggie burrito at this point

I think we need to talk about how little the workers actually care. They aren't getting paid enough to give a fuck so nobody cares how much they're supposed to give, you just get what they end up giving. It's almost entirely worker dependent. I work at Domino's and i usually give less pepperoni then we're supposed to but ii usually give more of the other toppings. Generally it's a good day if I'm making your pizza, but other workers that are better at the position stay closer to the guidelines.
One time my friend and i went to Chipotle after the gym while still wearing our gym atire. The lady gave us SOO much, even the cashier asked "was double meat". Literally felt like 2 bowls in one.

It is also measured with a spoon too, but the 4oz of the cup, is ideally what its supposed to look like. The slots where we see the food, should be given out to multiple people, not 5 big scoops to 5 customers.....Customers assumes that they should have larger amount of food from Chipotle. I think that is the problem and Chipotle should say it like I am saying it here to you and the rest.
