Personally, for about the same money, I would go for a 5.0 supercharged F Type. Now they do make a heavenly sound!!
But are not anywhere near the sports car the Cayman is. Have driven both and own a Boxster myself.
F type is more tourer - and a great car - but not a patch on the mid engine fun the Cayman/Boxster are.
But I agree on the sound. That 5.0 is beautiful to listen to over your shoulder when driving it.
But will depreciate faster than the Porsche and cost twice as much to own.
You show the way to get the information on a car before you buy..making it the smart way. Good buy..very nice car..that won't sit around for long. Great video on how to do it right.

It's a great usable power the 911 is great on a track where you can use all the power but a bit overkill for the roads IMHO. Lovely motor. I've also got 10 tickets for the RS5 which I hope helps young Jack out bless him.
Always wanted a Porscher but i cannot afford a Porscher i'm so glad you got to experiance one though especially the cayman, personally if i was in your situation i wouldn't sell it and enjoy it instead hope you have a blessed day and keep selling providing people with transport :)

Awesome car. 2.7 is so underrated. Everyone goes on about the great PSE sound and this size engine lets you get the most out of it without risking licence. Try the manual option on your PDK….. it’s quite satisfying changing via stick. It’s fast enough already 😮.

This seems to have the Porsche sports exhaust fitted (PSE) which isn’t listed on the options. Not a cheap option and they do sound amazing. Standard car has the one bigger central pipe and no exhaust button on interior console.
Fitted by OPC after purchase. No Sports Chrono though 🤨
The price of those centre caps! Should have gone to aliexpress eight quid, job done lol.

(I support an indi dealer) They are nice 981's. PDK service is due at 12 year mark, PSE (sports exhaust) can fail, check they open and close, engine mounts fail if its a Sports Chrono.....Great cars though. Important point its a convertible chassis in a coupe body so super stiff feel!

go with platinium satin , a dark grey, go well with white, have them on mine
100% I do the same if I ever get black wheels refurbished because platinum or anthracite colours show that they are actually clean

Thrashed these around Thruxton, handling is perfect! Not much power but great car otherwise. Mitsubishi evo for similar money is quicker, just a different look
You talk about Porsche Options .. my dad canceled an order for my mums Porsche 924 ( in 1980 ) because they wanted to charge £60 for a passenger side mirror…. He brought her a Lancia Beta Coupe ( in beige !!) instead .. the rear axle rusted into the boot while it was still quite young ( we did live by the sea which brings rust )
I had a lancia beta and a wheel fell off at speed. The wheel bolts snapped off in the hub due to corrosion.beautiful engine but waste of money died very young

Wheels have to be silver… HPI check said they are 20” but auction site says they are 19”, if that’s correct, what colour were the originals?

Cracking car if only, on Berrow Motors website it says it had a PDK oil change in 2013 ? Should that be 2023. That won't be there long.

Great car!!, I got my boxster 981 base back in Dec 2023 and it’s such fun to drive. You look forward to go and get a pint of milk, just so you can drive. Definitely the best car I’ve owned. Great vid. Glad you are going towards more exotic cars, makes your content more enjoyable to watch

@@timprice5 that was my first Porsche 4 years ago, but just the base cayman 987. Which now my son drives. However cannot see me upgrading again as the 718 Boxster / cayman is not for me, without the flat 6 noise

Combe is such a boring track though for an out and out sports car like the Cayman. It favours stuff with big power particularly at Quarry and Camp. Something a bit more technical would be ideal for it. Goodwood is a great little circuit for the Cayman and surprisingly undulating as flat as it appears in videos.

270 HP … It’s no wonder everyone is buying electric! For £21K you can get a model 3 performance that does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds … oh and you can fit your whole family in it and drive to Italy for £55.
