One of the nicest musicians met him 10 years ago... showed so much grace and humility... to those who say his technique is lousy I would say pound for pound he is one of the best musicians walking on the planet... Perfect voice, fine hammond player and damn good guitar player to boot...

When I see him interviewed I always think geez, how many superstars behave like this ? Really not many. He's always so unaffected & genuinely engaged in the conversation. No bluster or bulldust at all. Most actors and top singers are still acting all the way through their interviews. They just can't help themselves. It's so obvious that he was just 100% made of music from the very start. Also, as previously mentioned, he's in awful good shape for a 60 year old ! Guy just amazes me

    • @petratical
      @petratical Před 5 lety

Right, a saint. Just look at his lyrics in "Higher Love"
Think about it, there must be higher love
Down in the heart or hidden in the stars above
Without it, life is a wasted time
Look inside your heart, I'll look inside mine
      Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what is fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be
      Bring me a higher love
      Bring me a higher love
      Bring me a higher love
Where's that higher love I keep thinking of?
Worlds are turning and we're just hanging on
Facing our fear and standing out there alone
A yearning, and it's real to me
There must be someone who's feeling for me
      Things look so bad everywhere
In this whole world, what is fair?
We walk blind and we try to see
Falling behind in what could be
      --------------------------------------
He is speaking of God's Son, Jesus Christ who loved us, John 3:16 and 1 Peter 2:24. Both speaking of the same "Higher Love".

Glad U're not criticizing his music. I think U see, though that most are puzzled by Ur comment. If U came to enjoy & share on Winwood, why do U look to criticize ? I don't understand. U want to criticize his accent when most of us are talking about WHAT he says & his respectful nature. U want to attack him for the jacket he's wearing ? It's just so empty & irrelevant. Guy IS one of the greats. History will identify that - not his choice of jacket. Sorry - Ur post is just too silly for words.
