There are programs but like anything you must fill out the information and be qualified.SBA does issue government grants often non profits build relationships with other businesses.Chamber of commerce is a great resource check with a angel 😇 Investor outfit ,scores a great place to get free guidance. doing it on your own is hard work but without having proof they are not just giving away money to anyone start up depends on your business.Great video one stop is a real place best of luck everyone

I had a meeting with a SBDC counselor because I wanted to start on online business. He had NO CLUE how to help me. He was so old he knew nothing about the topic!

Jaime Aguilar all this info is useless. These grants are used for nonprofit organizations that charge 10% interest rate on the people they suppose to help. Some of them charge money for mandatory training and application fee and things. I don’t know how come the government doesn’t know about this.

Matthew, I remember buying your books on grants back in the late 80s (early 90s?) and applying. Now, I am a service-disabled vet who does importing on the side, engineer (for DoD) full time. I am expanding into order-fulfillment and electronic product development. Where is the best place to start with getting grants for those endeavors, or to expand into supplying for the fed? I'm just getting my business registered as a federal contractor.

My SBDC here in my town was unable to help me with my day spa.
I met with several people and one of them had one good idea. It was getting on a service like MailChimp or constant contact. I did not have the time running a day spa. But now starting an online business from home I have the time.

Call your congressman. I'm from Vermont, as an ind. I couldn't argue out a very complex issue with SS. They helped , kept me updated, got it sorted out, and extra ... 4 wks after I thought I had received all $ , they called and said I had another huge any on its way. Everything had been computed per child ... I have 2, soooo, it does pay to ... Go all the way to the top of the food chain.
