I think skyward harp should be a tier up i think base attack is really underrated it makes more of diff than people think
I think that is because it has low pull value on a weapon banner. It is good but there are so many better bows. So yes while it dwarfs some of the higher tier non-bow weapons the bow weapon selection is stacked.

Agree, it's so versatile. Solid performance on most bow users thanks to its balance of 5* weapon stats budget.
I think he just out it low cuz it’s a standard banner weapon, and you can get it while pulling for some other weapon, so spending your primo to get it over the other limited m weapon banner is not worth it
Good tier list! I just disagree with a few things and ill try to explain why:
1) I think Thundering and Polar Star being a tier above Aqua is unfair - outside of their signature users they all basically function as stat sticks and perform very similar to each other.
2) I understand why Jade Cutter is below Mistsplitter however in practicality - the damage difference between both isn't significant most times and I'm pretty sure Ayato and Xingqiu would prefer Jade Cutter over mistsplitter
3) I don't believe freedom deserves its spot, Kazuha would really rather prefer favonius due to his high er needs to the point where freedom isn't actually more dmg to the team. Also outside of Kazuha it really only is for giving Kuki like 30 more em or Jean for sunfire which isn't really worth it imo.

i think freedom is very good. i use it on kuki and kazuha nd i rly love the high em and the passive is very welecome. also this is a very unpopular oppinion but his but doesnt do all that much since ayaka has enough cryo and kokomi enough hydro. i have 150 er and its enough. also c1 can help w burst uptime.

For Polar Star, it is fine since most bow users relies on either Atk, or E. Skill & Burst. Ganyu, Yelan, Fischl can use it effectively one way or another.
Thundering Pulse isn't as versatile as Polar Star and Aqua Simulacra. Only Yoimiya, Childe and Phy. Fischl are the only one who relies on Normal Attack. Thundering Pulse is technically just a statstick for other Bow users. Heck, even Skyward Harp is more versatile than Thundering Pulse.
Aqua Simulacra benefits most of the bow users since its passive is universal damage increase no matter what scaling or damage source that character is. The only downside of it is the low base attack that technically fixed by platera of Atk buffing options such as Bennett, Sara, TTDS, artifacts: Tenacity or Noblesse.
Er over em for kazuha? How, his skill is as important so like half half its good

And high base attack, also any DPS bow user can use it, it’s no reason for it to be that low

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but I think usefulness should be separated in some way from spending question.
I think it is because other weapons have DMG bonus that gives a quite substantial amount of damage compared to Pure Crit but since not every character could use those DMG bonus, Harp should have been on par with other Crit weapon bow

I would say jade cutter is THE sword that everyone should have on their accounts even f2p. The weapon stats is just so universal, any sword user can make use of it
Not if you're playing kaeya or ayaka. They easily get over 70% crit rate even without this sword so it's kinda wasted on them.

My thoughts I guess
1. I think Thundering Pulse should be S tier, it has good stat, but the passive is mostly for NA attack, unlike Polar Star
2. Lost Prayers should be B tier, it is really good for Dps catalysts, but not a must pull and you can get it as you pull. Not really sure about skyward catalyst though.
The Skyward catalyst is kinda cracked. Gives extra elemental dmg if I’m not wrong and extra physical dmg. Has a very high base atk too. Would recommend if ur building atk catalyst DPS.
Yeah, Lost Prayer is much better than the Atlas imo. it's got good CR if nothing else
skyward spine is very underrated here, its raidens 3rd bis (2nd if r5), a solid weapon for xl, you can use it on rosa since it gives 8% cr and shenhe because of the 674 base atk and er, thoma, yunjin, zhongli and even xiao if you're struggling with er

Imo I think pjc also deserve ss . It's a sword version of staff of homa . If I had to describe msr vs pjc it's like the venti vs kazuha argument pjc is way easier to build but it's not going to be as strong as the msr with the right character .

No way lol. Kazuha is undoubtedly better, as is mistsplitter. More often Kazuha will be useful, as will mistsplitter. Mistsplitter directly powercreeps a lot of units that had PJC as BiS
i feel like wanderers weapon should be in a tier under, mostly because it only buffs normal attacks while most catalysts tend to use charge attacks. and imo compared to other 5* in the same tier its way less versatile. i would much rather put skyward harp in its place, since its also provides crit dmg and has a good base atk.
Of the characters you’re using this one you would get more damage output with changing to normals since you get an attack speed buff, ESPECIALLY at R5 this weapon is insane since you’re just buffering the overall DPS of any unit and it’s universal, Ninggaung, Heizou, Klee, Wanderer, all get great use out of it, Yan Fei is like the only other low investment DPS that wouldn’t since she relies on charge attacks
Catalysts are just universal all around though

@@ivana3263 yep, but the thing is, tullaytulah provides its specified purpose the best, which is additional 50% dmg for NA apart from the bonus atk spd, and main and substat. other catalysts are maybe more versatile but they just provide mediocre and tolerable growth for the chars
@@burjer8921 see thats the thing, for example he put key of khaj-nisut in a lower tier just because there arent many sword characters who scale of hp. the weapon itself is really good but u can only use it on like 3 characters atm. he was talking something about potential yet lets be honest every single weapon has it lmao so idk. if he meant it like stat stick, then both sky harp and foliar should move a tier upwards. also its not clear if hes judging weapons on r1 or r5 so here im talking about r1.
Kagura's Verity is not hard to keep up, is hard to GET up. The weapon doesn't state it but the buff resets with each elemental skill so you don't loose the stacks if you keep triggering the effect. (I've already tested this)
yeah this is the one little fact that 99% of people seem to miss.
all but i think 1 or 2 catalyst users can get and keep the passive up permanently. and in a team with good rotations it should be possible to keep it up for the duration of combat.
i honestly think it might be the most under rated 5 star weapon just due to people not understanding how it works, and how it can work 100% for almost every single catalyst in the game, which is not something that can be said for pretty much every other 5 star weapon in the game.
for anyone who sees this, the only requirement for a catalyst to be able to get the full stacks of the passive, is their E skill needs to have a lower cooldown then the weapon's passive. that's it. even if its only 1 second less, that's still enough for 100% up time. though this also isn't entirely accurate, cause there is one catalyst with a longer cooldown that can still do it.
klee for example has two charges of her E. her E cooldown is longer then the weapon passive cooldown, however, if you stagger the use of the E skill uses, you can actually still get all 3 stacks and 100% up time permanently.
this weapon is very underrated, and more probably because the widsith exists. In short fights, the widsith is cool, but for abyss content, kagura usually beats widsith.
But because it's costlier to get kagura than widsith, it's not that worth it.
Nevertheless, all catalyst characters, except kokomi and Barbara, can activate the passive fully. However, some will take longer to activate it because of long cooldown, so a character like Mona can activate it, but she has to be on field and wait 20+ seconds or so. Widsith is better here.
Honestly, this weapon is the best for yae, Lisa, and nahida. Yae cuz signature. Lisa because she is pretty much yae in disguise. Nahida has a short cooldown of 5 or 6 seconds depending on how the skill is used, but after two stacks (easily gotten in 5 to 6 seconds on field), it beats a thousand floating dreams dps wise.
Although I had r5 widsith, I pulled kagura for my nahida, and it's OP.
Technically, for whales, r4 kagura beats out r5 widsith even when it's on its best passive. Unless you are a whale or just love this weapon so much, it's impractical to get.

I think skyward should be atleast S tier, its as flexible as aqua simulcara, and its on standard banner. its high base attack also good for sara and faruzan. Kagura also good for Mona (she only needs 3sec to activate full stack) and Nahida dps.
Lostprayer are also really good for Dps catalyts, even better for widsith imo.
the thing is, this isnt just a tier list for "how good is the weapon". its "shoudl you PULL for this weapon". and pulling on the standard banner because you want one specific thing from it is NEVER a good idea, it will take you an insane amount of pulls to get what you want from the standard banner. Like he said, a lot of them are nice *if you have them*, but you should not spend your primogems on the standard banner to try to get them
Dehya's signature weapon is also really good, this last two weapon banners were godly to pull for tbh
I would also put PJC higher, Mist is good but sometimes is hard to keep the 3d stack up and also the dmg is similar, for Keqing especially, she benefits more from that crit rate due to how aggravate works and the passive is pretty good and non-restrictive
3 stack is just overpowering, even with 2 stacks mist still slays
PJC isn’t on the same tier as mistsplitter. It’s basically the power creep version

About the Primordial Jade Cutter - it is sometimes better than Mistsplitter depending on the character. As a matter of fact, it happens to be the 2nd best weapon for Alhaitham and Ayato (1st being their respective signature weapons). Maybe someone else's too but those too are the ones that I remember. For these two characters, going with PJC is apparently better than going with Mistsplitter (which is kinda good since that means you can use it elsewhere).
So, I'd say it's deserving of SS tier bc it's that good.
as a nilouhaitham main i agree their signature weapons arent the most popular but holy shit its so good on them i wish the passoves werent so specific so other characters could use them too
When I was going for Eula’s claymore (since I accidentally pulled her trying to go for a 4 star) I missed the banner 50/50 and got freedom sworn and was absolutely devastated. Thought it was a paper weight but it apparently was really good.
Redhorn is an amazing weapon. It is BiS for pretty much every claymore dps. It is Diluc's BiS no contest. It is like the Claymore version of Primordial Jade Cutter. Claymores do suck though so even if there is very little synergy with Diluc it is still his best weapon because all the other options are kinda trash.
Beacon is probably his best now

Exactly, skyward harp, lost prayer, and especially primordial jade spear are solid weapons for anyone who uses that weapon type.
I think JadeCutter is better weapon than Mistsplitters in terms of Pull value.
Since not everyone can get full stacks on it and it has only 44 crit dmg (not 66)
Also , JadeCutter despite low base atk compensates it by its passive so you won't suffer from low atk and get massive 44 critRate.
So overall its better value , since its like future proof weapon since almost every future sword character will have this weapon as their 2nd BiS after their BiS
Jade cutter is for sure more valuable more damage potential is not always better and that’s why Elegy is a bit better than Aqua Simulacra

Elegy is a support weapon.(support weapon always better)
Aqua is a dmg weapon.
But JadeCutter and Mistsplitters are both Dmg weapons.
JadeCutter will have more value UNLESS you have Ayaka since she's probably the only one who cannot take advantage of massive 44 crit rate weapon.😅

@@sensibleDuck893 Mistsplitter is also Keqing BiS weapon. Since she will generally not be using Bennett the low base attack of Jade Cutter will hurt more. However I would say what matters more is if you have a better crit rate or crit damage circlet. If one is significantly better than the other then one weapon will surpass the other because of how close they are too each other in overall value.
aquila fav is a strong weapon and "technically" jeans signature weapon being high atk, it makes jean absolutely insane, S tier for me

SoSS is a blessing for me since I love playing reverse melt rosaria or xiangling vape. A massive step up from my first 5* weapon being vortex vanquisher 😂

I would argue a hyperbloom Kuki (which is her most popular build atm) wants EM more than HP%. Sure Hp% makes her heal more, but hp% substats are not hard to come by. Meanwhile EM makes her heal more (not by the extent of stacking HP) and deals more damage. My Kuki is rocking the Iron Sting and she can keep my team alive just fine.
Key gives an HP to EM conversion , usually you get close to 200 em for Kuki and about 70 or 80 to the rest of the team , while also increasing her HP by a large amount. Key does have activation and uptime problems on Kuki though , i prefer Xiphos for her.

Idk if it's just the translation or it's also the case for the original text, but Kagura's passive text doesn't mention that getting a stack also refreshes the duration of all previous stacks, so actually a lot of characters can fully utilize its passive (pretty much any character who can use their skill at least once every 16 seconds), it's just much slower on characters with longer skill CD (I'd still put it in A, maybe low S at best).

hey, man, love your content. i didn’t watch you at first for a while cause the long hair threw me off :), but found out you kept it real. but i have to give a shout out to the key sword. i have two hyperbloom team that i use, i’m first one is alhaitham, nahida, kuki, and yelan. my favorite character on that team is my six star kuki. on that team, i use an r5 freedom sworn for kuki at 1000 em. but my favorite team with kuki is nahida, double hydro yelan and xingque. in that instance, i use the key on kuki as the driver, and she’s nuts, well over 1000 em with nahida s buff. and her heals are nuts, i think she’s healing for about 4,700 when hp is below 50%, and she’s my favorite healer. i was running her in dragon spire for some crimson agate, and with her 100% heal uptime, she makes dragon spire super easy. i will r5 the key next time it comes around as well as pull for nilou when she’s rated up next. do t sleep on the key :)

I'm strongly disagreeing with Scarlet Sands being on the SS tier. I don't think anyone can use its passive properly besides Cyno. Other polearm DPS characters like Hu Tao and Xiangling can only get one stack. So I'd argue that it should be on the A-tier, since it can be a good crit rate stick but nothing more than that
rosa xiangling and hu tao all appriciate the em and atk. also it can be a solid stat stick
You do realize that with em buffers SS outdamages Homa right? So technically for best damage SS will outdamage Homa, Homa is more universal still rn because it’s more characters that scale off attack but sands is barely behind it when it comes to universality since Raiden, Rosaria, Xiangling, Hu tao, etc all get great use out of it
People haven’t realized how SS has powercrept Homa because Homa has always been a great weapon and most didn’t pull SS because they didn’t pull Cyno

So by that logic homa misplitter also shouldn't be there as most chracters cannot make full utilisation of the passive
I think your list is very accurate! You did a great job by doing this list as a "worth pulling" and making it clear that some weapons can be really good but not that worthy to pull, like Jade spear, Wolf's greavestone and Skyward harp.
i think foliar should be at S, the reason is that the weapon has a huge fix to crit issues, 88% crit damage + 4 % crit rate is the best stat for a single equipment. you may not want EM on your substat for other characters, but youll still getem. it may still benefit by a small margin. and besides, who doesn't want EM on substat.

support weapons are so good. I love Elegy on my Fischl, I usually play aggravate or electro-charged and it boosts all my team. Got Nahida's weapon too, pretty nice to boost all my team EM
As someone who has used Skyward Atlas from AR 10 until AR 55 on my Yanfei i would like to argue. It is kinda cracked with the effect thingy and plus you get additional (physical) damage. The atk% is pretty good too for catalysts users that need atk. Though ofc there are better options such as Kagura’s verity and uh Wanderer’s bell weapon (I don’t remember the name)
Serpent Spine is literally so good for any dps claymore character, it is literally insane!
I've been blessed with Mistsplitter, Jade Cutter and Aquila Favonia.
Skyward pride is actually insane on some phys dealers (like xinyan) since the passive blade thingy scales off physical damage bonus.
Just a quick tip: if you get the same 5 star weapon one more time do not refine you can instead use it to another character so it can have more value.

I've never spent on weapon banner, the only 5 star weapon I own is a skyward pride from standard...
i have 1 ss tier, 3 s tier, 3 a tier, and 3 f tiers (the f tiers are from losing 75/25 on weapon banners and from standard)
I have 4 (homa, thunder, aqua, mitsplitter)ss tiers 3 A Tier 1 B Tier amd 4 F tier (standards ya)
2 SS just got mistsplitter
5 S (2 PJC & 2 TFD)
3 A
3 B (r2 Amos)
6 F (r3 Aquila😂) only sword I’m missing is freedom sworn
Which tier would you place Beacon of the Reed Sea? Note most people do not understand your reasoning thinking these tiers are based on weapon value, I understand the primogem efficiency factor well.
Glad Scarlett of the sands is up the there in top tier. Definitely just trying to manage the how much hp/em I should have with it for my hu tao atm. 😅
Nah Amos isn't a B definitely it's atleast an S for ganyu. The problem is people prefer crit stats more than the actual core from where the dmg comes from for ex atk/hp. I agree that the other bow users may not be able to use it as ganyu was made as a complete different bow character due to her kit and so the bow was tailor made for her. And if you are concerned for melt use the Inazuma craftable bow as it does not have a time based dmg multiplier. If only crit is your concern use the 3star sharpshooter with 46%cdmg and there you have improved her crt figures without spending primos.
Tbh external atk buffs are a lot easier to get
People don’t value attack % because you can easily get it from weapon and character buffs/passives

Aqua is Ganyu BIS
Hunters path is better than Amos and also there’s really no reason to pull for Amos if you have skyward harp
Amos has attack % also because Ganyu is meant to be ran with freeze initially but now we have multiple attack buffing units and weapons so a low base attack alternative weapon is not a problem anymore
it's an S _for Ganyu._ The bow works almost too well with her charged shots but not as well with most other bow users. the other limited 5 star bows are powerful as well as a lot more versatile
the tier list is based on pull value, there are some other decent weapons on lower tiers like harp and atlas. although amos is pretty good especially for ganyu, it is not recommended to go for it on the weapon banner bc its a standard and less versatile than some other bows like polar and aqua

Since ayaka banner is coming, i m thinking of going for mistsplitter if i get ayaka. But i am afraid of calamity queller. What am i gonna do with it? GIve it to zhongli lmao? Xiangling is using the catch, zhongli is usually on fav, black tassel or blackcliffe depending on what i m feeling, Raiden is on Engulfing. What woudl i even do if iget calamity queller?
Give it to Shenhe when you eventually want to strengthen your Ayaka team obviously.

-for those who lost their 50/50 on lost prayer or skyward dont be demoralized. still decent weapons, can be 2nd or 3rd options for most catalyst dps

my opinion (feel free to disagree):
i can't really agree with thunder pulse being over aqua simulacra because it only buffs normal atk. aqua will buff all damage as long as you're near an enemy. the low base atk is usually compensated with external atl buffs like noblesse and bennett. idk the maths tho. maybe the 20% atk from thunder pulse beats aqua by a decent margin.

I got the staff of Homa, full odds early pity and everything, haven’t even touched the weapon banner since June

I'd still put PJC and Aqua on SS since they're so viable on many characters along with Homa. If you can count Beacon, id also put it in S for just the stat stick.
Key of Khajusat is the best BiS weapon in the game. But only because it buffs its user more than any other BiS weapon does. The issue is it's mainly good on Nilou. But it boosts her damage more than any other BiS boosts there 5 star banner characters damage.
Kinda wish we'd have a better utility power comparison for permanent weapon, "should you pull?" getting in the way "are they good?" a bit too much, by remove this "should you pull?" idea you could make a complete tier list from the F rank alone because the value/utility of these weapons vary so much

i feel like only one of each weapon type that you feel deserves an SS rating should go in SS. Say ive been saving primos and am trying to decide between Homa or Staff of Scarlet Sands, Idk which one to get. I tend to think its homa over SSS but I really dont even know, so that would have been helpful. Other than that, great video!
Homa is the best weapon in the game, if I’m being honest.
See the thing is almost all 5 star weapons are meant for only one character aka their matching 5 star so the only reason weapons like aqua simulacra are good is bc the effect is meant for a character that generally is versatile or really op
Edit: oh also standard banner weapons also get a disadvantage bc you will get them eventually
jade and aqua deserve ss while thundering doesnt deserve ss its just a stat stick for non normal attacking characters, and jade is the most universal sword in the game, freedom sworn is not a need, and staff of scarlet sands isnt very universal other than being a stat stick
I just go for signature weapons on all hot men and archons so it doesn’t matter to me which weapon is good, but still nice to know :)

IF we had access to every weapon R5 and level 90 how different this list would be??
And most importantly how good are skyward weapons in this situation??
Would they rank any higher??
I know the first question might be extremely situational and if it's too much trouble to evaluate it furtherly I understand but I really love their design.
Ever since I picked skyward pride I really loved using this weapon in Beidou and I'm really curious how strong the rest of the set actually is.
Honestly refinements for weapons are nothing but a slight buff to what they already do, so I'd say this tier list stays the same! Because this tier list is how WORTH IT they are to pull for right, not as cut and dry as hopw good they are. So yeah maybe an R5 Skyward Harp might be better for Fischl than a Thundering Pulse (I just made this up as an example idk if this sentence is true lmao) but it would way too hard/nuanced to make a list of high refinements vs low refinements haha. I would just take your weapons u have an dplug them into a damage calculator to see if the damage of a high refinement skyward outpaces a low refinement other weapon :)
I liked the vid but out of experiencing these bows I would disagree with tp being on ss tbh polar maybe although it isn't the most versatile weapon knowing neither yoimyia nor yelan is that good with it and tp is more niche but aqua in fact imo is ss, other than that nice vid my man!
Edit: key of khaj is underrated I use it on Layla for double hydro tao and does boost em a lot although I gotta use her a tiny bit on feild

I love my Diluc but don't know what Greatsword to use for him. I'm using a serpent spine. And my only 5 star is Red Horn. Which is better for Diluc? Tyyy
I think aqua deserves to be at SS tier because of the high crit value. Not every character such as Yelan needs or can use the atk stat but crit is basically universal dmg stat for every character (besides koko). And I think with the Fontaine region coming out especially, a lot of characters will be scaling from hp not atk so crit will be more valuable. And of course low attack can always be fixed with atk buffers but crit doesn’t have many buffers
I would put PJC and Haran on SS if Mistsplitter didn't exist. Solid list!
Damn, now I realize how many good weapons I have even tho I haven't really thought about it that much, ofc Ive got a few that are at the bottom but overall pretty solid decisions have been made by me!
Definitely pulled and whaled a lil at some of the best banners like 2 homa's, 2 elegy's, mistsplitter, aqua, jade cutter, 4 jade spears lol dunno if I should refine them, engulfing, calamity, skyward harp, wgs, unforged on the first zhongli banner 😅, lost prayer and mfkin atlas cuz u can't have good stuff all the time! Gotta appreciate the bad ones so we can cherish the good ones🤓💀💯🦍👹🗿🤷👺🫡🤩🔥🤯!

i pulled lost prayer in the standard banner and was like, yeay thats not bad for on field mage dps. Sad to see that it is bad apparently😭
It’s not bad it’s just better catalysts out there since the catalyst category is so stacked and it’s just the nature of games to eventually powercreep
Lost prayer is still pretty good just not a weapon you wanna go out and dedicate funds or primos to pull
Its good, but if you had the choice to pull it then its not recommended

@@seto244 lost prayer is actually wanderer's 2nd bis. cause he takes a lot of field time you can easily get max passive stacks.

I have pulled on weapon banner twice and got both weapons I wanted. Yelans bow and kazuhas sword. I feel like they are worth it. The other one I really want is nilous sword but I don't have enough to guarantee it so imma skip that one
Why is homa in SS but aqua which has a very similar passive, usually increasing dmg by more than homa, and more crit dmg in S tier. makes no sense to me.
personally i think widsith is much better than the catalyst bell thingy but the catalyst bell thingy has more base atk (674 at lvl 90 and 565 for widsith at 90)

I have yae miko weapon and it works super good with ninguang yanfei and heizou. Is not Hard to keep up with the passive but is slow
can someone please explain why missplitter is better than primordial jade cutter when it has just 44% critdamage (44cv) while jade cutter has 44% crit rate (88cv)...i genuinely dont understand .... also doesnt LOFI give 88% critdamage(88cv) but it is a tier and missplitter ss .......please someone explain.....???
Has to do with their passives and also the fact that mistplitter has the highest sword base atk in the game

i have r5 inazuma craftable bow.. and it does more dmg on ganyu charge atk than the aqua simulacra, thundering pulse, and tighnari bow... i have all 3 at r1 so maybe thats why

Polar star no its at A tier since its only good for childe and you need basic attacks to triger the pasive so its extremely clunky to use on anyone else than childe thundering pulse is just a only for the crit damage since you need infused normal attacks so no passive so its A tier (this is all my opinion)
