Black tassel also for zhongli obvs. Sapwood blade is also a 5 star sword a lot of people will R5 for their bennet, so dark iron sword has insane value freeing up billets for you for that. BTW the Liuye exclusive weapons you want to keep an eye out for are: Dark Iron sword (from a quest or smth not in chests) Halberd, White Tassel, Fillet Blade, Skyrider greatsword, Messenger, Recurve Bow and Twin Nepherite. And the other ones I didn't recognize like the white iron greatsword are mondstad exclusive!
Apparently amber bead and another were never released? Idk they were on both of these websites for some reason but I’ve never seen them lol
I'm still exploring (around 80%) but still haven't gotten any recurve bows unfortunately. As for others that can use it, Diona for her shield and heals early game. Assuming your free fav bow is on someone else.

Please note that Amber Bead, Ebony Bow and Quartz don't exist in the game, they were in the beta before Genshin came out, but they're not in the actual game.
As a rule of thumb, I always keep one copy of each weapon regardless of rarity. Highest refinement if possible
I do the same, but I R5 each of them and level them up to 20 (kind of free) so they are sorted better, and I still keep 10 lvl 1 R1 copy of each, just in case (yeah, I'm a hoarder)

Bro if we got R5 Black Iron sword it would actually be a cracked F2P option on Keqing. 40% attack with permanent uptime is wild.
It does have quite a low main attack stat though, i wonder if it would balance out or not🤔

@@banheesos Yes and no, the weapon is strong especialy for a F2P, if we could get it to R5 clearly not bad, but think that the atk of weapon count as your base attack and so get multiplied by atk%, its massives.
ITs different from feather whoi is a big boos but is a flat one, so having on carried a big BASE atk is a huge deal, so like lynn said it would probably kinda balance out.

As soon as I found out that a lot of 3-star weapons are finite and cannot be obtained via wishing, I stopped foddering them lol. And that was back in early Mondstadt so I have hundreds of 3-stars I need to refine and level lmao.

some 3-star weapons can be obtained by collecting chests in certain area and you can't get them from gacha either.

It's a closed beta exclusive weapon. Also it's called Amber Catalyst according to the wiki.

dark iron sword at lvl 90 is actually just 1 substat roll away from iron sting at lvl 90 (141 vs 165 EM respectively, difference of 24 EM which is just 1 high roll of EM substat). I was so surprised getting the first ever copy/refinement of dark iron sword while randomly exploring the new area 😂
side note, some of the 3 star weapons in the list are unreleased - the amber bead and ebony bow for example
Actually you get a copy from talking to the blacksmith in Liyue, but if you didn't know about it you probably fodder it

@@CM_684 the area where you can find it is locked behind a world quest, its the area behind a giant stone wall in Mt. Lingming. A Dark Iron Sword is inside a common chest near an area where you can do some unique challenges.
I have beef with slimes so max refined the black tassel. 10/10 recommend. 👍
I maxed it as well... Not everyday that i get to r5 weapons. So i enjoy the experience 🥲
Zhongli does more damage to slimes in domains so it does help.

The Dark Iron sword has marginal damage difference with the Iron sting and you can get it so early in the game just by speaking to a NPC, wich in my opinion makes it a great early game option and a good option overall. Billets are hard to obtain.

@@roadhog820 No you can only get 2 copies of Dark Iron Sword. One by speaking to Chen the Sharp in Liyue and one from a chest Wangshan Hall in Chenyu Vale. Refinement both on Dark Iron sword and Iron Sting are not very useful.
Recurve bow is good for Diona. You can possibly get one in Liyue chests or the Chest/Reward near the first Statue in Sumeru.
Its sometimes in Mondstadt Chests (not liyue)
There is also one if you Talk with a person on the Inazuma harbor
I also use Recurve Bow on my Diona, can vouch that it works well for her

Yes, it's very good on Yelan, she's the only user who also benefits from the passive.
If I don't have a healer or play Yelan solo, I sometimes even swap Aqua for a recurve bow, the difference is less than you would think for a 3* Weapon
3:39. Refine your Black Tassel for Yao Yao. her E can be effective against Hydro Slimes and electro slimes. as a deterrrant
if only the passive was for mages instead of slimes lol - but yes slimes are annoying, especially hydro

sometimes my full hp zhongli does 20k on slimes due to that lmao
I love Dark Iron Sword but let's be real... it's extremely niche as far as actual use. Iron Sting is craftable and better, Toukabou is free (if you did the event) and better, and Xiphos is one of the best support weapons in the game. Most people have at least 1 billet they can spare. I use it on Kuki for the drip, because hyperbloom is already so strong the weaker weapon doesn't matter, but it's 100% for style 🤣 People just love its looks and there only being 2 in the whole game gives it a mysterious and valuable aura.
I started only recently so i dont have the tokabu. I don't want two units on the same team wielding iron sting, so dark iron sword is nice for me. Hehe. And how do we get xiphos? I've never seen it or heard about it until today.

@@littlepawML That's the trick, you don't. Since even if it's on a banner, you won't get a single copy if you actually want one, since there's no way to guarantee a specific 4*.
@@ZanathKariashi yeah, I wish i knew this last night. I started a few months ago, like 4 months. And i still don't have even one sacrificial sword for xinqui so I drew on the weapon banner like, 50 draws. And I didnt get even one of those. Ended up with r5 sacrificial greatsword and decided I'll hold onto that pity anyways for a better weapon banner. 🫡
Nice thing about 3* weapons is they use less relic exp and mora than higher ones.
I wasn't a fan when I started since I wanted the best of the best i could get, but I definitely would consider them if I was to do it all over again.
Less domain/monster drops as well :)
yup, I cant bother lvling my skyward blade for that reason, the domain gives cancer, the chances of golden drops are low and it asks for too many purples … lvl 70 it is
I had kicked myself for accidentally destroying the dark iron sword. I was so excited to get another bite at the apple with the new region. I casually go to the guy in Liyue city and click the wrong text box and... now I have 2 dark iron swords..........😅😅
But...the only way to obtain it before the new region was released was by talking to the guy in Liyue Harbor, so if you talked to him and got one now, then there's no way you could've had one before
@@kuraresacupcakes I had convinced myself I had already gotten it and fed it into another weapon. I guess I never did, though. I have been regretting destroying that rare weapon for years. Turns out I never got it in the first place 🤣
Slingshot is really good for Tighnari and other charged-shot characters.
It is comicall how good this weapen is on Tignari, espeically because you can just ignore the low attack with an EM build.

White Iron Greatsword is a pretty good weapon for Noelle, for those starting out and getting her from the Beginner's Wishes. It synergizes with her kit and, in my opinion, very much fits her knightly aesthetic.
Debate club is superior early game unless you somehow get c6 noelle.
And at that point you probably can get her the craftable weapon
@@brexcubo6766 Not neccesirly, yes she have more damage but in early game you want Noelle for overworld healing. But because how energy hungrey she is for overworld you basicly need to use 1, Favonius greatsword (gacha 4*) or 2, a whole team build around her (Gorou who?) where you can funnel.
Whiteblind is her weapon
I agree, but not everyone has access to billets or would want to use one for Whiteblind. The greatsword or debate club are good options for her unless/until one does the crafting.

As a collector, I was extremely happy to see these weapons again and locked at least 1 copy of each. Still missing some that I fed into 4 stars in the past but maybe we'll get a monstadt expansion and I'll get them back.
Most likely. There have been references to a place called Dornman Port in Mondstadt that we haven’t visited before. We might be visiting that place soon since it was referenced in the Fontaine archon questline.
I'm still waiting to build my Healer Diluc because I got rid of all my white iron greatswords 🫠

@@abdulkealfaaz I did. It's inside Wangshan Hall in Upper Chenyu Vale. I think you need to accept the quest from the NPC nearby to get inside. The sword is in a chest by the arena inside the hall.
I have a no pull alt acct. so I covet all weapons obtainable through rewards or exploration :D never thought I’d run into a 3star weapon overview but I’m glad I did and am even more glad it exists at all xD tyvm! ⚔️✨

- Raven Bow can be used for Childe... Nuke or sustained early-mid game..
- White Iron Greatsword was one of the niche build when Noelle has to go down to Corrossion Floor back in 2.x abyss xD [Mondstadt Exclusive]

Beidou as well for dendro teams and Gaming for Vape, but at the end of the day it's basically a poor man's copy of rainslasher and you'll get rainslasher off of pulling on any banner so there's no real reason to use it once you get a copy of rainslasher.
@@Sinoviannot in all cases, it actually has higher EM than rainslasher. So with EM Razor I’m pretty sure it’s a better option anyways.
Mailed Flower is actually the better F2P option if you have it, giving the most total EM if you consider its passive, but if you didn’t play during its event then you don’t have it.
@@dawreckor a difference in 22 em does not make it the better option. You can get that purely off of a substat with no further roles into it. And in trade-off you lose a 12% damage bonus and 156 base attack. In any aggravate team that is way too much of a trade-off since you still benefit from attack.
You could technically get niche play style in hyperbloom, but razor is a poor hyper bloom trigger due to his burst limitations.
You have never heard of thundering furry razor? Though the best weapon is fav and not using his E during his burst on bennett circle but maybe with enough ER substats and fav on other characters, it might be possible to use that 3 star weapon.
I wish this game featured a glamour option, because I really like the look of a lot of the 2 and 3 star weapons.^^

I wouldn’t say 5 star but it carried my Rosaria up until AR 50ish. Might have lasted longer if I pulled any characters for teams that would want her in late game.
Considering how bad the alternatives it is a very good damage polearm for a lot of charatcer. I would call it secret 4* more just because how little other options are exist.

Hey man I'm glad you've made this video. When I'm using weapons as fodder sometimes I come across some 3* and I'm like bruh this weapon is pretty based, EM and ER on some of them, I've actually locked a couple of them and maxed them out as spares.

The memories! I used white iron greatsword Noelle to power through Mondstadt until I got lucky and pulled Fischl and her c1 in a 10 pull. Ran physical Fischl with an r5 stringless until late Sumeru. I'm free-to-play and had never even looked at recommendations or guides back then. I will 100% back that a high refinement stringless can let you auto attack your way to AR 45 without issue.
So ebony bow, quartz and amber bead are both unreleased and from the beta testing days, not implemented in the current game

Raven bow is actuallly not a bad option for Childe early game. He wants that EM and the passive is something he could definitely use when paired with Xiangling. I know this because someone told me to use it with Childe when I first got him many years ago and I didn't have any good weapons for him outside of Favge
just before the release of arlechino white tassel was considered mid but now its probably the best f2p option for her
I keep a copy of every 3 star at R5, for some I even keep multiple R5 copy (and R2 for Black Iron Sword as there's no other to get)
And I level to 90 at least 8 of them !
Some are really good !
- Black Tassel for HP support (I have 2 R5 lvl 90)
- White Tassel : very good for normal attack DPS and even better if they don't scale on Atk (HuTao)
- Harbinger of Dawn : high Crit stat if you can keep the HP up and don't need the atk stats (Albedo)
- Slingshot : high dmg and crit stat even with the low atk.
- TTDS : no need to explain why !
i've always been super careful about not foddering a weapon I don't have a locked copy of, so I'm surprised there are some I've never seen or heard of despite my entire map being 100% explored. Never heard of ebony bow or amber bead or quartz

Debate Club curried me through the early game, heh. Back then I preferred using claymore characters (Beidou, my main~)
Thanks for this Jello! Helped me sort out stuff big time! I do actually run now Catalyst only account (very fresh Ar 55) so its been quite struggle to have weapons or 4* + on everyone due to limited bilets and so :D the 3 stars been always for me mainly cosmetic thing use them cause they look cool but never much of a practical choice, but Magic Guide has been actually good on hyperbloom Lisa that I use. I was forced to use Emerald Orb for while, which bit hurts XD
Sharpshooter's oath is actually good on Yelan. I have enough ER in artifacts so there is no reason to use favonius bow. And both slingshot and sharpshooter's oath are the only damage options I have. And my emblem CR circlet is better than CD one.
Also I like the fact that it maches her color sceme.
Some of these weapon drop in changyu vale, but they don't auto lock !

I have been farming these since I figured them out. Unfortunately that happened AFTER I had mostly cleared Liyue last time. This time I am hoarding all of them.
Debate Club's ascended color scheme is really nice. I've been good to upgrade every weapon I can get to at least Ascension 2 if only to see both their appearances in the Archive.
Early-game back in 2020 I foddered all of my white iron greatswords and travelers handy swords. Like most of us day-one players, i didnt think i’d ever want to keep copies of lower-grade weapons. Can’t wait for Dorman Port to release in the future as a Mondstadt expansion so i can hopefully scoop em up!
At some point while looting the Chasm I realized that I am getting weapons I've never seen before, and since then I have locked at least one R5 of every 3-star I could get my hands on
i was more exited about white tassel than i was for my xianyun. i wanted white tassel for a year but i didn't have it. now i have three of them!
I love recurve bow on yelan. Especially, the heal for overworld as you can mow through most enemies anyways
Haven't started the video yet, but I have had a black tasal since really early in the game- and it's lowkey gotten better with time and time.
I started in 1.0 and immediately locked one R5 copy of every weapon. After awhile I figured out I could use another copy of Thrilling Tales. But I am lucky is billets so I dont use them much. Mature accounts really don't use 3 stars except Thrilling Tales because it is that good.
Praying we get more Thrilling Tales weapon types. I am willing to do unspeakable things for a Thrilling Tales polearm or sword
Travelers handy sword is actually a really fun option for nilou if you dont have any hp% sword. I run it on nilou and its really cool how she just constanly heals up when taking dmg.

great video. I really enjoy your content. Are you planning to make a similar video for 4-star weapons. I think that would be very useful.
So you can take this as more a sign for Yoimiya because it matters more to more people and with less investment but I've 36 cleared with Slingshot on Miss Amy der Psyschl bunch of times. Beyond NA stuff the fact its basically a crit hat for free can still do wonders for F2Ps on characters like Yelan and for that R1 is fine, which even the most strapped player can get their hands on.
This sword is super useful for hyper bloom teams with characters like dendro/electro Traveler or Kookie Shinobo on them (because it increases all party members crit rate opon making an electro reaction with that character)
Black Tassel above white tassel is crazy ngl, that thing carried my hutao back when i had nothing

I remember looking up weapons and seeing the quartz claymore. This was around the time I was still early game play and lost a 50/50 to diluc so I was try to find a decent weapon for him. I spent so long try to figure out how to obtain it, only to find out that you can’t. Also not just to get for diluc, but to have from a collectors standpoint.
White Tassel is also a fairly good f2p option for Hu Tao. Crit rate is often lacking in a Hu Tao build and her standard combos all include some normal attacks. I think between it and black tassel would mostly come down to balancing out your artifact stats. It is also not bad on an onfield Candace though that is far more niche.
Awesome list, especially as you have to build a few of them when you start the game. I started new account and Raiden is on white tassel until I can finish farming for the Catch.....it's obviously not great but I made it to Inazuma with it so I could farm for her lol
I could not get sword billets for MONTHS on my main so I used Dark Iron Sword on Kuki and it made a significant difference with the 141 EM (lvl90) - now she's still on it because I gave Iron Sting to Kazuha lol
I have not found another Dark Iron Sword yet, but it was my _first_ Lv.90 weapon, because I loved its look and I mained my first limited five-star, Kazuha, at the time. I've largely avoided details about Chenyu Vale, but had glanced talk of DIS, and I look forward to doing my ol' reliable so _justice!_
12:05 Otherworldly Story is a good early game option for Charlotte or other catalyst that needs to provide some support from a high cost elemental burst.
You can junk it after pulling a Favonious Codex or other catalyst that helps with energy, hence early game. For the early catalysts, you are basically deciding between Otherworldly Story, Magic Guide, or Thrilling Tales.
Finally after 3 years I have that R5 White Tassel I wanted for my Hu Tao early on
...too bad for it I got an R5 Dragon's Bane in less time
I only foddered my 3 star weapons ONCE and it was before Hu Tao even released. Now I'm approaching my weapon limit because I don't wanna fodder my 3-stars again but after seeing this vid I guess I can go and lock some of the higher tier ones.
Nice video, it is rare for content creators to mention the 3 star weapons except the TotDS
twin nephrite is a nice early game option for some catalyst dps characters, its what i used as a ningguang main for a hot second
I really accidentally sold my dark iron sword and ik so mad. I should've locked it😭
Travelers handy sword on Albedo and an UPCOMING character is actually not that bad if you dont want to use Harbinger of Dawn. And White Tassel the way it does that bonus damage, actually scales in such a way that its really cracked on Hu Tao. And recurve bow is actually also usable on Diona if you want her shield to super strong.
White Iron is good on Noelle, Itto, and Xinyan on some builds if you dont want to use a billet
Before we got Mailed Flower, Blood-Tainted Greatsword had the highest EM option out of the 4star options. If you missed that event, you may want that for certain EM stacking builds. I experimented with that on Thundering Furry Razor and on a Swirl Sayu build before I settled on Fav being the better weapon. But still could be good if you have enough ER from artifacts and you don't want Rainslasher's passive; Rainslasher gives just a little less EM than Blood-Tainted Greatsword, but obviously has more attack and a similar passive.
Also, White Tassel is a respectable budget option for Hu Tao if your gacha luck for the 4star spears is terrible.
I consider both to be Situational.
It always kind of puzzles me that people would accidentally fodder all of something, when my default instinct is to lock and R5 one copy of everything just in case it might be useful later to prevent exactly that.
For the past year I've been running Nahida with Magic Guide (also in the abyss) and it was just fine.
After 3 years we finally getting the 2nd ever copy of Dark Iron Sword, 9 years more and we will have it at refinement 5
white tassel, harbinger of dawn and dark iron sword are like the op 3 star weapons. def performs well for characters like cyno and alhaitham.
Bloodtainted greatsword is a really interesting option for overload Beidou.
There's two Dark Iron swords in the whole game :
the first one in Liyue talk to the NPC near Chef Mao and you will get it
the second one in Chenyu Vale in Guhua Clan underground area (near the fighting arena) it is inside a Common chest that has two torches around it and has nothing other than the Sword
I like this weapon a lot, and I am happy that we have two of them now ^ ^
Twin Nephrite, Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, Black Tassel, Dark Iron Sword, and Harbinger of Dawn are pretty much OP if you know how to build and whom to use with.
When I don’t have enough Fav or other ER weapons, the three star options are nice. I’m actually using Otherworldly Story on Charlotte.
I think a great video idea would be to go over the best uses for talents to crown, I have a bunch of unused crowns and im not too sure what to use them on.

My collector's brain has R5'd and locked a copy of each 3* I got (admittedly I have not done this for 1* or 2* weapons lmao).
The Dark Iron Sword has so much drip on my Kuki. I luckily got 100 EM roll on my flower so I probably won't switch it out unless I get a Xiphos.
I've have a R5 of pretty much all the 3 star weapons just because why not lol. Half of them aren't leveled, but I have them if I ever want to use them
Well, black tasel refinement comes handy if you give it to zhongli when you Emblem farming, helps to clear the slimes with his ult ...
Got all of the three stars locked at r5 (not the dark iron sword ofc) mainly for collection purposes. I do have the dark iron sword leveled for Kuki as i think it looks by far the best on her. I also have some of the other 3star weapons leveled but over time they got replaced by better 4stars.
Recurve Bow on Elan is actually pretty good because of HP, this deals a lot more dmg
Em + atk buff after electro reaction is good for swirl electro and aggravate electro dmg dealer. Got it r2 by recent area. Perhaps r5 later.
At some point, I had decided to get at least four R5'd copies of each three-star weapon, and I'd got going with Genshin post-Chasm, so when Zhongli's birthday mail made it apparent we were going to Chenyu Vale next, I was disproportionately excited that we would be getting more chances at these three-star weapons! Gracious, I need Mondstadt to get an expansion, which I thought the Mare Jivari could be, but on looking it up, that's way away from the nation of wind.
Sharpshooter’s Oath is a great option for Amber if you play ca Amber and it it’s even good on Ganyu too I believe it’s worthy to be in the early game option
White Iron Greatsword is also a GREAT F2P early game option for Noelle if you just can't get Claymore billets for a Whiteblind.
I put Iron sword on kuki just because it look cool on her, I was very happy to see I could refine it !

Any new Liyue area potentially can give you some White Tassels, I almost got a second one up to R5, just 1 more drop and it'll be mine.
I have Freminet using the Skyrider Greatsword at the moment, because I don't have any Claymore billets for Snow-tombed, but I might just leave it on him because in a Supercharged team it helps his damage considerably.
My Beidou is currently carrying the Bloodtainted Greatsword, because the EM isn't bad for her, and the extra DMG is always useful considering she's electro anyway.
Thrilling Tales is just OP on quickswap characters like Baizhu; who wouldn't want an extra 48% Atk on their DPS thanks to their team-wide healer?
I recently found out that there are a couple of NPC given copies of the Recurve Bow, which I had foddered previously. So now my Yelan has an HP% bow, to add to all her other HP% equipment.

I use Black Tassel on my Thoma full HP build. And Recurve Bow on Diona before I replaced her with Layla. And Thoma will probably be switched to Rightfull Reward which would help with ER. He has 205ER on instructor set which is actually pretty close and only works in double Pyro teams.
I certainly foddered the Dark Iron Sword and white tassels and so on, believing id eventually just have so many 4☆ that itd be pointless to have any 3☆.... huge mistake when i heard it was unironically a great sword for Kazuha, and you only get one ever..... and some weapons dont even come from gacha, only chests. Luckily, I had enough Liyue areas left to explore that i could get a White Tassel back up to r5.... but the Dark Iron Sword was gone forever.
I used White Tassel for Rosaria for the longest time before I got her the Deathmatch. Black Tassel can also be good for shield Thoma (I think I even R5-ed it for the meme value 😂). And yeah, Skyrider Sword was my go-to for Xingqiu early game and also for Bennett sometimes because I seemed to always be lacking ER.
For those wandering, Ebony Bow, Quartz and Amber Bead are not actually released at this time
Favonius Warbow is one of Yelan's best weapons and *you get one for free* early game just through natural progression. There's literally no reason to be giving her a 3* bow, even with HP%. The only real competition is Aqua Simulacrum, and that can still be build and comp dependent if she lacks ER for consistent bursts.
I use dark iron sword on my kuki and my gf use it for kazuha, this weapon is so good, I don’t know why people don’t use it

my first 5 star was a yelan but I had no idea she scales on hp so I foddered like 3 of them, regret it to this day
I mean, you get so many of them then most 3* you can just R5 and lock 2 of them pretty much whenever, its more of a "can I use this or not"
Nice. Despite having every standard and event 4* weapon (about 65 4* L90r5) plus nine 5* weapons all at level 90, but I still use:
Black Tassel on Candace; White Tassel on Rosaria; Dark Iron Sword on Nilou. Those are the three who I would never change.
Also have Cool Steel on Kaeya; Otherworldly Story on Lisa; & White Iron Greatsword on Xinyan. Plus Thrilling Tales & Harbinger of Dawn built, but not using currently.
I have every other 3* weapon at level 20, r5, just for the sake of collecting them. Except Otherworldly Story is r4, which drives me crazy.
And I took Skyrider & Bloodtainted Greatsword to level 60 + Traveler's Handy Sword to 40.
