Ah, staying up until 4 in the morning to impulsively finish and upload one of my favorite songs. Reminds me of the old days. I guess my inspiration is coming back. 8)
This upload wasn't planned, I don't have much to say other than I miss you guys ... and per usual Kikuo songs really inspire me and are a lot of fun to sing! When I first saw the video I was completely blown away. This was my first time really belting in my new apartment so I hope my neighbors don't hate me now.

I really love how Jayn's voice sounds so intense sometimes; the cover seems real almost. When certain notes are hit, the way she sings it almost makes it seem like a slow descent to madness and anger and the need to be noticed. That wavering sanity and impatience for just wanting to be noticed and all. I don't know what I'm trying to say here, I just really love this cover.

I personally like this cover because the voice isn't very grating unlike most English covers and the tone is very similar to the original song so it's easier to associate the original with this.
Whenever i hear this song I think of Mikan Tsumiki from Danganronpa 2 ... The girl in the video looks just like her and the personality is very much alike ( Mikan is sad, abused and maybe was raped but then someone came and gave her " love" but only Mikan loved that someone and so Mikan killed for that someone)

Ok I was thinking about doing a cover of this song too (only in German) but I was apprehensive about it because I'm an alto so I thought I would sound so bad but??? Your voice isn't Miku-level high and you nailed this and it gave me a lot of confidence (that and your voice is??? Gorgeous??? I die you're perfect)
Go for it!! I'm an alto too! I just warm up my voice a lot before belting, and belting is in a different register than my chest voice, so it works out. I'd look up some warm ups and lessons for belting on CZcams before attempting so you don't hurt yourself. It shouldn't feel strained at all, if it does then stop and find some more warm ups / lessons to practice with first.
It's kind of difficult to explain but practice makes perfect and even if it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, you learn from attempting and each time you try something new, it'll feel easier and sound better. This was my first (shared) attempt at belting czcams.com/video/SIzk9AM5M6o/video.html ... I want to die re-listening to it, but that was the first step at trying to strengthen my voice, and the skill just keeps building up. :D Good luck!
I wish falsetto had strength like women's upper registers. All of my high notes end up being a whisper hahah.
+Lavendar 13 Men can 'belt' too, female upper registers are not super strong right off the bat, it's a voice training thing that takes practice and warm ups (unless the person just intuitively learned how to do it). Men have to do the same thing to strengthen their upper registers. My upper register is naturally soft, like a whisper. The goal is to mix your head voice / falsetto with your chest voice to create a new sound. The register you sing in then is called "mixed voice". That's what makes your upper register sound strong.
You can learn to access this register with warm ups and tutorials ~

After listening to this on repeat for an hour or so (I get distracted when drawing >_>) I realized something. The lyrics could be about a person who seeks attention, and end up using people to get what they want. While they feel guilty they don't stop and apologize, continueing to hurt others and ending up attracting a lot of NEGATIVE attention.

Usually english covers suck when it comes to japanese songs, although this is accurate as hell! You gotta have quite the talent to bring the notes higher at more intense moments and still keep most of the original tempo most of the time, usually I'd hear longer notes being driven for dramatic affect which has no reason to.

Especially with the subject of mental illness, if you ask me. Also side note, I hope I don't sound mean saying this. I know your probably just trying to help and meant no ill intent by it but I don't think you should jump the gun on people having a mental illness. I don't have borderline myself, sure, but I have Aspergers which could easily be mistaken for many other things. Mainly anti-social disorders cause of my tendency to...well, not socialize as easily. People can even see it as simply being "shy". Maybe even ADHD because I also have trouble focusing on things when I have no interest in them. So I know enough from that to see that figuring out mental illness is trickier than it seems and why anything shouldn't be diagnosed by yourself or the internet. Anything can be mistaken for anything and there's likely multiple factors that you won't find through Google search.

I think tbh this is just about how not getting enough love/affection as a child can affect you in general, not necessarily just 'golden child' stuff.
Like just in general being neglected emotionally can cause severe damage, there doesnt also need to be the expectation to be perfect on top of it, though that certainly helps.

Definitely, but I never thought of the collar as childhood abuse, that is an interesting take. I always thought of it as the disorder itself and how inescapable it feels. This is probably because I wasn't abused as a child, only sexually abused in my teens. I guess whenever I think about trauma I relate that more to my ptsd rather than my bpd. Well you basicly described a yandere the thing they "love" functions as a drug its like an addiction and there's only a finite amount of that drug. So in order to get all of the drug one would need to spend every moment with them. In fiction about yandere this usually results with the addict taking drastic measures but in reality that's a nice way to lose that which the addict wants.
I've been there with a friend of mine she was the first person who i really felt connected to in years especially after she helped me get through a rough spot and things were fine until we had a fight that made me afraid she might leave me . The Irony is the things i was doing to try to keep her from leaving were what drove her away. I did things I'm not proud of but therapy helped and we became friends again after what seemed like forever.
Id rather not get to specific But ill say alot of these lyrics remind me of what it was and kind of still am like. The collar thing is kinda like being a slave to the addiction and the thinking "you're trash" being how when you have what you want you take it for granted as you search for more in my attempt to maintain that friendship i drove away my boyfriend at the time aswell.

The original is fairly creepy, but it's not haunting, nor does the desperation of the singer come through in the sound of her voice (I know it's Hatsune Miku).
