People argue a lot over the meaning of the song, the main two arguments are “it’s a Yandere song” and “it’s golden child syndrome”. However, I interpret it as both. Perhaps the character the song is about does everything they can to get love from their parents and when they’re unable to, seeks it out elsewhere, becoming obsessive over a person. When they find out they don’t want them in the same way, they only grow more and more obsessed with gaining their love, or their parents love.

I actually came into this with somewhat high expectations, due to never hearing a male cover of this song. However, I would really like to see someone attempt to top this. What a wonderful cover Will has delivered us.
Miy_yuu has done a fantastic cover of this too, although his is in Japanese. I think both covers are equally fantastic, and Will did a wonderful job, with translating, and especially with hitting those impressive high notes. I recommend checking out miy_yuu's cover all the same, since you seriously can't even compare the two due to how different and wonderful they both are

To this day, Aishite is the only song in Japanese I have fully memorized. It took me a few weeks, but it's easy to understand (thank you kikuo for your godly tuning) and it's quite slow. I love this song so much and it's a bit too relatable...
I love what David Toth has done with the translation, In my eyes what makes a good translation and this stand for any media is not literal translations but making a work with the same kind of identity as the orignal and making sure the main themes and important nuances remain.
I’ve never seen someone actually switch between vocal pitch so much during a song. It usually sounds terrible but to my surprise you pulled it off! Like it sounded really good.
It really added to the fact the person singing is literally going insane, I love that 💞💕💕💖

I know this is a year late, but as someone who is a fan of Juby, Will, and others, I can definitely say it mostly has to do with the fact that she “consistently” uploaded more than most in the community. I mean we have people like Rachie and Kuraiinu but their uploads schedule is sparse to almost nonexistent, and anyone new who does do covers either disappear because it was just a fun hobby, quit because they don’t feel good enough, or switch to only covering anime or making their own original songs.
So in a way Juby “held down the fort” while also covering songs that people never heard before. But now that “a new generation” of people are joining the ring again, like Will, Trickle, Oktavia, etc. it feels like theirs more variety and creativity

I'm pretty sure this song is about someone who had golden child syndrome as a child and continues to suffer from it as an adult. The choker (or necklace) got tighter and tighter as they grew up. The Choker/Necklace resembles the parents. The character here, got older, but the parents were always still on their @$$ (excuse me language) and the "I'm sorry" or "I'm so sorry" is that character speaking to their parents because they feel like they did something wrong. The "love me" parts of the song, is because the main character feels as if their parents don't love them, as if they care more about their child being perfect. (Yes I listened to the JudyPhonics english version first. I like this one equally tho)
Although this version is coming off as more of a different story.
The girl has a choker/necklace that gets tighter and tighter the less love it gets. It's getting much love, but it's not enough. It wants more. The Choker/necklace needs love or else the girl will die. Because she was choked to death. I have a feeling that the "love" is something else. Idk. Maybe I'm just being dumb.

Unpopular (?) Opinion: this is better than juby's cover
I feel like in a music sense, this is better written than Juby's cover. Both are crazy good and have different strengths. For example, I lean towards this one because of the one chord near the end that gives me actual chills. But Juby's cover is closer to the actual translation.
I like to think this version and Juby's version are siblings if that makes sense
