- These 2100$ Gaziano & Girling Burhams needed new soles and an upper restoration. The customer wanted toe plates as well. I decided on custom made, solid brass, toe plates. G&G's are among the best and finest shoes in the world. Their finish is outstanding. It requires a lot of precision and patience when working on these shoes, to end up with a finish worthy of the skilled craftsmen at G&G. I hope they would be pleased with the end result.
My price tag on a job like this is about 400€. I worked on them for many, many hours. - Jak na to + styl

Relatively common theme on the shoe porn vids on YT is that folk who are able to drop seriously big money for top end shoes, apparently have no clue when it comes to taking care of them. Clearly they dont have enough to stretch to a Jeeves valet character. Its all nice trade for shoe repairers so I suppose its all good, but the old English adage about 'All fur coat and no knickers' comes to mind :)

$2000 shoes and the shank is a paddle pop instead of compressed leather..
Pro tip: don’t countersink the screw holes with a drill, because the angle don’t fit the angle of the screw head.

what's a Sutor High Shine Cloth, I've never heard of such a product, most people use cotton cloths or nylon tights.
It's my own product and my own brand. The cloth is made from a very fine woven satin. It's perfect for spit shining and finishing.

That was WAY too early to resole! What in the world?
Reality of resoling at this level of 'wear' also goes with keeping shape of shoes after they have taken exact shape of the wearer' feet.
After replacement of soles, footwear feel even better than when they were brand new, worn 1st time.
This would have been a good ASMR video... no need for the background music. Fine job on the repair.
