I love the way how they made a formation of the ships and really illustrate the scene during the encounter between the Malays and the Atis. They really made a research and understood what the song was really about. I'm a native Hiligaynon and understood the way the song was sung. Great performance!
I believe Benny Castillon is the composer of Kruhay where he made this song for the USA troubadours of Iloilo. We wer lucky to have met him and the original troubadours when we visited the Philippines.

"Ginbaylo kang mga Ati, ang anda nga puluy-an, ang Panay sa sangka Sadok kag kulintas nga Bulawan," It means that the Aeta exchanged their Home, Panay, with a golden helmet and golden necklace. It was the barter of Panay, happened in the province of Antique.
The Philippines was peopled from mainland Asia via Taiwan edging out the much more ancient groups that are believed to be part of the "out from Africa" migration. These new group were the austronesians which later spread as far as Madagascar, South America, Alaska, and New Zealand. But there were back flows to The Philippines. Kruhay (Long Live) is about Bornean groups coming in from the south to settle in Panay island. They encountered the short black people who were remnants from the earliest migrations. There are now only about 25K of them left in The Philippines.
the epic of the 10 Bornean Datu of Sri Vijaya escaping Madjapahit and reaching Panay Island Philippines and purchased the island from native Ati or Aeta.
@@phildefnews it's a legend or even a myth. No one has proven it yet and has not been completely disapproved. Some historians looked into it a few years ago, even went to panay and no evidence of it. Until then it's just mythology
The story mentioned about the gold jewelries that was given as gifts to the Aetas and some of the gold were buried with the Datu or his family, we found lots of these gold.
History then was really not written but handed down to the people through songs. The verdict of that British guy about the code of maragtas as a hoax is just his opinion which he based on another hoaxers claim that he found a written version of maragtas.
