Nice with that not-so-subtle jab at Biden, too -- and all you had to do was show a pic of him. JEEEEZ. What a j0k er-smiling, repulsive kreep. (It's okay -- I appreciated the sentiments as most people do. The whole country can't STAND that installed sock puppet.)

I live in DC. I had no idea you would be here. I started to watch the video but got excited, had to email you first. There is a restaurant in China Town, Washington, DC where a sister of one of the men worked or own back then it was a hotel or some kind of bread and breakfast. That is where they believe that John Wilks booth and others plotted to kill Lincoln. The sister claimed she had nothing to do with it but she was hung anyway.

In many ways Lincoln was a man of his times. Prior to the civil war he never questioned the legality of slavery where it already existed and there is no record that he ever advocated social equality. He was slow to embrace the abolitionist cause, but once he did, he was determined to see it through. Still a great man and a legendary President.

We will never know what led officer Parker to the drink in his life . If anything he got off pretty lightly and managed to work for another 3years that's incredible . But he lived to a good age , its such a shame all this happened on his watch , but that's what makes history fascinating and this video .

Wow, Lamont, thanks for this interesting piece of information on Abraham Lincoln and the assassination history. Abe Lincoln is my favorite president. I grew up very close to DC in Baltimore and the nation's history always fascinated me, even as a kid. This is a side of the story I've never been aware of and it makes me sad, also a bit angry that this " policeman" had been charged with protecting the President that evening. What a piece of work he was! I can understand why he doesn't have a grave marker, probably the same reason John Wilkes Booth doesn't ( he's buried in Baltimore). Glad you carry mace with you, just in case. Stay safe out there!

Having visited Washington D.C. twice, I did take the tour of Ford’s Theater & the house across the street where President Lincoln was taking after the shooting & died. Being able to stand at the door way of the President’s box, was very surreal. Not spooky at all. Honored really. I have always wondered how things might have gone for the country had he lived to fulfill his term as President. There have been only a few other presidents that were close to Lincoln’s greatness, in my opinion. His memorial is breathtaking. We are not suppose to rewrite history, as many are trying to do these days, but learn from it, grow from it, & not repeat it. Thanks for doing this video.
