Man, imagine how much better Arkham Knight would have been if Paul Dini wrote the script for it :(
+Robert Wild I don't know if Dini would have done it. I think he would have come up with a better plot instead of just ripping off Hush and The Red Hood.
it's a good game..actually regarded as one of the best of all time
Katrina Tecxidor Arkham Knight? O_o I think most people have the opinion that it's the worst of the series. Frequent complaints are the underwhelming plot, the poor implementation and control of the Batmobile and the general lack of interest in a fourth game in that particular series.
+JazGalaxy I wouldn't say it had an underwhelming plot or lack of interest at all, at least in the main story. I think I'd regard it higher than Arkham City if the side missions weren't mostly repetitive and recycled. But the plot and execution as a whole was fucking great, in my opinion anyway. Best of last year for me but that wasn't the hardest thing to do
Jake Middleton I'm curious if you had read Hush or The Red Hood's story. Most people who were familiar with the comics seemed to find the story cliche and the mystery obvious before the game and even started.
Dini made my childhood alongside Timm. He's a true legend.
Damn. I didn't know who this guy was at first but apparently he's played a fairly major part in my life. And continues to. ...Shit. I'm impressed.
Paul Dini forever!
THIS MAN MADE MY CHILDHOOD
+BrownTownReviews Ditto
This guy is responsible for me getting my ass kicked all through Harlem in my pre teen and teen years for being a Black Geek. Thank You!
pollenontheshoot Bruh I try to tell people they have never played D&D until they played with a Dungeon Master who grew up in the "Hood". HAHA
Negro Tarantino LOL! I was the pure comic nerd of south side. I got old friends and family to this day that call me up asking me who certain characters are now that all these movies are out. "You should of read the comics!" I say before I give them the entire dossier. I love flexing my nerd muscle!!
***** FOREVER!!!!
Negro Tarantino love the username 😂. And I always heard of it but I guess it’s true growing up a black nerd is harder
Holy shit last time I came this early It ended my marriage.
nice!
+Rodimus Prime ....yea it's a pretty common bad pun sorry you didn't show up early enough to use it
This comment was lame the first time I read it but at least that person originated it instead of passing it off as their own.
That is so awesome! Can't believe I grew up on an ORIGINAL Bat-villain creation. Harley Quinn -- Paul Dini, praise you, dude! You kick ass! Thank you Kevin Smith for this show! Finally get to see the faces we never see, the people who make this happen. Awesome.
Bernardin is rocking that USS Midway T-shirt. I remember sailing with her multiple times when I served aboard the USS Cochrane while both ships were berthed in Yokosuka, Japan. :)
Holy crap! Paul Dini LIVING LEGEND! I would not be where I am today ( computer animation ) if it was not for his works. Excellent show today guys :D
every episode with Paul Dini on FMoB is amazing. You guys need to add him as a third guest when you interview other folks. Makes me so happy when i listen to him and Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin talk!!
I've unknowingly watched and liked everything Mr. Dini has been involved with.
Thanks to whoever made this interview possible
This is not the first time he talked with Kevin listen to the podcast
BAS was the fabric of my childhood. It's one of the sole reasons I LOVE Batman. Kodos to Dini & the rest of the creators of the show.
When I was a kid I never actually grew up with comic books, but I did grow up with Batman: The Animated Series. Paul Dini is a god.
Dini is almost 60! He looks like he's about 35
I love how excited and overwhelmingly positive Kevin is.
they need paul dini to write for batflecks solo movies.
genius
In your interview with Paul Dini you mentioned how "Mad Love" was a great "entry comicbook" - Could you guys do a show where you list your top DC entry level comics? It will help me spread the love to my friends and family! THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOMENESS. This show is my favorite... everything.
Paul Dini is just so damn... incredibly amazing! And I really love Rocksteady and everything they do but I really wish they would have let Paul finish off the Arkham trilogy and write Arkham Knight , even with most of what they wrote he would've added so much more to the story. I think they just tried to do too many new things and lost focus of what we really love those games for...the stories!
I actually really liked the story up until about halfway through and then they completely spoiled the rest of the game and plot with ONE 30 second scene.
The Boba Fett helmet is part of why people geek out of the Mandalorian culture it was inspired by. There was magnificent stuff with Deathwatch, and then this season on Rebels where Sabine crossed paths with Fenn Rau. .............. So awesome.
Thank you so much for having Dini back Kevin!! Funny enough, I had been listening to the early FoB Dini dossiers episodes recently. Batman TAS is my childhood. Thank you again!
Great show. Thanks all involved.
Man, this dude had such an impact on my childhood. You're a titan of creative entertainment, Mr. Dini. Once my kid is old enough to actually register what a cartoon is we're going to be laughing at Tiny Toons and air punching in front of Batman: The Animated Series as we wear our capes.
PAUL DINI!?!?!? OMG, GEEK OUT MOMENT! This is the best guest star to have on here EVER. An behalf of all the Batman: The Animated Series and Harley Quinn fans out there we salute you.
finally they bring Paul Dini back. The episodes of FMOBM that have Dini are by far the best. Thank you for listening.
Loving all the guest you have been inviting.
This video has 1 view and 420 likes.... I fucking love it.
+Frazer Young I know, what the fuck
It's up to 477 likes and 1 view. I think CZcams broke again.
They're just that awesome 😉
+Frazer Young Now dance for us, Carlton. Dance!
I like the way all guests seem freakishly tall.
+Richard Dufault I'm starting to think Smith and Bernardin are 5 feet tall, or shorter.
My husband and I have seen Kevin Smith a couple of times, but once he went into the audience and held a mike to a person. He was so much shorter than I thought he was. They say how tall you visualize someone is how much you respect them. I evidently think he's jolly and green
As someone born in 1994 this man has worked on almost everything that has shaped my childhood thank you Kevin for this gem and thank you Paul Dini for being apart of and the reason for my timeless animated series, video games and stories. Thank you
Hey Kevin and Marc. Loving the show and really enjoyed your interview with Paul Dini. Can't wait for the next episode. Thanks guys!
One of the reasons Harley Quinn became so well known and liked, was because that TV show gave SO much time to the story of the villains, Batman TAS 1990s~., Two-Face (parts one and two), Birds of a Feather, Mr. Freeze (in general), and a bunch of others, in which you kind of don't see too much of Batman, but see a more sympathetic kind of gray area for the villain story-line, rather than black and white kind of villain side of the story.
God I love you have your own youtube Channel. I couldn't get enough of your content when I was a kid. always been a huge fan of yours.
I would LOVE to see an either animated or (especially) live action rendition of Bruce Timm's portion of the "Batman Black & White #1". That Two-face story was awesome!!
The greatest Batman writer behind Denny O'neil!
This channel is blowing up, great guests and awesome interviews.
What a great get for an interview!!!
I hope to meet all three of these men one day, and tell them how they affected my entire life. Paul Dini effected my early life as i was in grade school when Batman TAS came out. And Kevin's world was introduced to me from my mid teens to the present. They really helped me through my depression too!
I had been wondering when Dini would return and I am not disappointed. I have relistened to the Shadow of the Bat episodes over and over.
Crawling to 100K subscriptions fellas. This thing should have millions but slowly but surely its climbing and getting around.
You guys scared me! By just looking at the title I thought we might have lost him! I will read a Dini Batman story before a Miller Batman story every time! Great to see him on one of your shows again!
I want longer episodes, man!! A solid 60 minutes of FoB 3 times a week is exactly what the Doc ordered.
Batman The Animated Series, forever.
Another good show Kev. Paul Dini is good on the Podcasts, but it's so much better when you can see the people who are talking. Please keep up the good work.
just yesterday i found about 30+ Master of the Universe Audiotapeplays in a shoebox in my basement! Such good memories!
Paul Dini changed my childhood! So cool to have him on the show.
A most excellent interview with the BatMaster, Boy Wonderz!
Am I the only one who wants to find out where Paul Dini's house is so I can Trick-or-Treat there on Halloween?

28:31 LOL Phill Bunny!
This is like the third time he tells this story, which is awesome!
We need more Dini in the end.
I didn't realize Dini had such an extraordinary and long career, from Looney Tunes to Batman to Lost and all those awards. That's amazing.
I had no idea he was such a huge part of my life, tell him I said thanks =)
Damn that is one solid body of work. Big Fan of the the Arkham Asylum game, excellent base game to launch the series.
I'm such a Dini fan that I know I'm going to tear up when he talks about his book...
another great interview. keep'em come'n!
I wish we could go back in time and have Paul Dini rewrite Arkham Knight
I know you guys don't focus much on action figures, but the new Batman the Animated series line from DC collectables are fantastic, they bring me right back to my childhood, the only full set of toys I've continued to buy since StarWars Power of The Force.
Yusss! The great Paul Dini! Just recently listened to the 1st FoB podcast with Paul Dini so good #myjam
paul dini, two words he-man. legend
More episodes and more interviews please!
Paul Dini is worth his weight in gold!
Wewt, P-Diddy's back in the Fatcave. Always an interesting guy to listen to.
As a San Diegan I love to see that USS Midway shirt Marc has on!!
Wow this show is amazing! I love you guys! I can't believe it's Paul fucking Dini!
That guest was great! I can listen to him tell stories all day.
+Bryan Mantle DC has had the best animation for like 20 years....love hearing him talk about................and the fact that he is humble and does not even want to take credit for Harley???!! awesome dude............
lol. Looks like I forgot to type the word "a" in my original comment. Meh. I'll leave it alone.
I just read mad love and I really enjoyed it.
thank you Paul for my childhood!
Woah, Dini looks totally different than the last time I saw him. He looks like a wizard now...
Paul Dini was how I got my wife to read comics. Mad Love was the first comic I bought her. She's a Harley fanatic now.
countdown to 100k is on.
Man, I love this channel.
Looking forward to those NolanVerse commentaries! :-). Hell ya did a couple for 'Gotham'. I'd take the first 21 minutes of 'the Dark Knight'
Paul is back! =D I love that man.
Holy shit they are so stoned :D
Such a great interview with an amazingly talented remarkable man! Oh and I lost my shit when he started talking about how he doesn't give a fuck about Rule 34 or lewd versions of his character! Some creators are such prudes about that shit but he just doesn't care I fucking love it!
Oh I know what Paul is talking about when he was talking about the first thing Bruce did. I've seen it looks great.
thank you For My Favorite Writer....
Changing Color Pallette=profit for the toy sales your idea was brilliant & they recognized it.
awesome!
In one episode this dude talked about working with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and also JJ Abrams on Lost. This was dope!
