It happens to be one of my favorite songs to play on one of my Dime signature guitars. I've been a diehard fan for almost 30 years. I could say your response was predictable because FBD was their 'heaviest' album or because it was the only metal album to debut at #1.

My favorite as well, or at least in my top 5 for sure. Pantera's a hard band man, on one hand they wrote the greatest song that has ever been made in Cemetery Gates. For some reason I've kind of always kept that song out of my list of favorite Pantera songs and my list changes constantly. They're maybe one of two or three bands that I have a constantly shifting list of favorite songs from depending on the day.

Saw Pantera in 2000 at Ozzfest. I was 13 and had never heard them before that day. We were waiting for them to come on as they were playing the co-headlining slot right before Ozzy. I vividly remember like it was yesterday, everyone was standing up chanting for Pantera to come on and this one dude wouldn't stand up. This was a massive arena. Beer bottles began raining down on this guy until he finally stood up out his chair for Pantera. EVERYONE was standing for the kings of metal and losing their damn minds. They've been my favorite band ever since.

Craziest energy you've ever seen live. St. Louis Mo,Ozzfest.. the entire show the crowd was throwing the wax/paper Coke cups, toilet paper, paper plates, frisbees, anything that wasn't bolted down was flying around in the air the ENTIRE show. Phil worked the crowd into a frenzy, and the band was flawless. I've never been to a concert with such intensity. Pantera demanded the euphoric craziness from the audience, and the crowd gave it to them. A truly unique concert experience I've never witnessed again. RIP

Four of my friends and myself saw Pantera live in Nashville in '92 during their Cowboys from Hell tour. It was in a smaller club, only about 100 people possibly there. All 5 of us went stage diving and were in the mosh pit. One of my favorite concert experiences out of about 15 - 20 concerts. Before they let people in the concert we all got a flier and went to their tour bus and waited for each member of the band and got their autographs.

Seen Pantera 11 times I have some incredible BLOODY stories. I seen them almost every year, from 1991 to 2001. Seen them in 700 capacity venues and 30,000 seat venues. I have seen them play with Suicidal Tendencies, White Zombie, Crowbar, Skid Row, and so many other bands. Seen the OZZFEST 2000 tour 2 times where Pantera was in the top 4 slots I think right beyond OZZY, and original Black Sabbath line-up. I have seen the craziest pits with Pantera and a band called Overkill. I am 50 now but when I was in my 20's and late teens I was the biggest Pantera fan walking. I did not even know you reacted to this song been subbed for way over a year maybe 2 years. Oh well I found it and glad you liked it.

Saw them in ‘94. Prong, Sepultura, and Pantera. I was in the Marines so a few of us went to see them play. Irvine, CA...the cries of those injured in mosh pits still hang in the air mixed with Phil’s screams to this day.
Soooo many joints thrown on stage and Phil would light them and pass them back to the crowd.
Venue security wouldn’t allow stage doves, so Phil tells the crowd to do what they gotta do to get on stage. Security looked pissed!! 😂😂😂
    EPIC SHOW!!

Pantera is still one of my Top 5 metal bands and I've been listening to metal since '86, when I was 13! I saw them twice in concert with the first time just months after CFH was released! I was 16 1/2 and what an experience of a lifetime! Friend of mine won two backstage passes to that show from DC101! They were opening for Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus! That was one crazy show and I have never been so sore from a concert since (not even now in my late 40s)! We got to hang out with Pantera and Suicidal, but not Exodus. I was able to get all of Pantera's autographs, but only got Mike Muir, Rocky George and...Robert Trujillo's autographs, but how awesome it was the day Robert joined Metallica (my first true metal experience and still to this day my favorite band) years later! Anyway, that first show was awesome as my friend and I got to hang out with Pantera for what seemed like such a long time! Phil asked if we wanted beers and of course we said fuck yeah! With no bottle openers, Phil took the Heineken bottles, smashed the tops off on the sink and handed them to us! The second time I saw them was in January 1992 at the legendary Hammerjacks in Baltimore, MD opening for Wrathchild America. That was also an off the hook show! I was fortunate to get front row, got too in to it and headbanged into the stage (Whiplash style)! I was able to get a Rex pic from that show. Bummed I never got to see them again after that... Sad how the Abbott brothers and Phil grew apart and then the tragic deaths of Dime and Vinnie! Still great to see so many Pantera shirts at various concerts today!

Seen them about a dozen times, Anselmo was my spirit animal and was so impactful on my life, I put his "unscarred" tatt on mine. I went through the ringer when I was young, including losing my mother to cancer at 15, and wanted to end my own life soooo many times in the early '90's. That verse "...unscarred by trials..." and this band saved my life, literally, so many times. When I met them at Blockbuster Music for meet and greet, it made my decade. R.I.P.

Saw Pantera 8-10 times and met them all. Best dudes you can meet. The shows were hot, sweaty and unbelievable! The band was always tight as hell and full of energy. I truly miss getting loaded and going to a Pantera show. The first time I saw them was at the Summit in Houston. We were standing in the back part of the floor crowd and when the lights went off just before the band came on, there were like 20 people that jumped the barricade, using our shoulders to dive off of. It was so intense that it didn't even really hurt, well, until the next morning. But it was always worth a little pain to see them. RIP Dime and Vinnie.
