It has a PG-13 Rating and I think the story and humor is not so interesting for kids. So why show them? There are tons of other barbie films with kids as the target audience.

@@anouc6147 Yeah, but I mean it’s Barbie. The kids will be so focused on the bright colors and silly comedy all the “mature stuff will fly over their heads”. But it’s their mom, so I’ll respect her decision.

i mean it is rated pg-13 and she's probably 8 or something, her mom is probably just going off the rating. there are lots of other great Barbie movies and TV shows for her to watch though, i genuinely recommend Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse for anybody who liked the movie

For those wondering about Barbie moving, Kate McKinnon’s joke about Ken is really inappropriate for kids to hear. I LOVE the movie and was actually really upset that joke was in there. And the part with the construction workers, an awesome part of the movie that shows the reality we live in, but kid’s shouldn’t hear those things yet. There’s a difference between telling kids life’s not fair and showing them.
