We need a deep dive of why Hollywood chooses a random actress to hate. Every actress that has been hated on gets called the same thing condescending, arrogant, and narcissist. It’s always that never anything else.
I've also seen this trend but I would add that trolls also love to question these actresses' talent, and push a narrative that they haven't earned the opportunities they get. Whether it's dismissing a POC as a "diversity hire" or randomly accusing a pretty girl of getting a certain role "the Weinstein way" or any number of misogynistic and/or racist hot takes, the one common trait is always trying to dismiss a confident woman's skills and achievements, which then of course validates hating and even cyber bullying.
I'm grateful that I found this! I was so afraid that people was just being so mean and didn't make an effort to try to understand the things she's trying to say as a young woman actress! ❤ I'm so relieved that y'all think this! 🎉
I honestly don’t think she said or did anything wrong. It’s just that sometimes her delivers can be a bit off putting, but if you get to know her better from her videos you can see her real personality and she’s really not a bad person at all. She’s not arrogant and she is very sensitive. I really don’t think she deserves all that hate. Also she is very young and still pretty new to the industry. She is growing and learning. Try to be more respectful, people. And ask yourself if you were in her position, at that age, are you sure you wouldn’t have made any mistake?

lol isn’t it ironic how you say that the “Girlboss” movement is over because it’s been nailed onto people’s head and you know all of that and we’re past it, that’s so 3 years ago, etc… YET you say that people see themselves in Snow White because they see the traditional life of “have one man to come and save the girl now, because her life sucks”? Some of us, speaking as a woman, would like the choice. Being a feminist and a girlboss has actually nothing to do with how you would like your marriage/intimate relationship to work out. I work all the time, I’m super feminist, and I still would like to be swooped up by my partner at the end of the day and have them want to take care of me in the traditional sense. (Also on top of all of it, I’m in a lesbian relationship). Its not about anything other than letting people, especially women, make their own choices about their lives and livelihoods. I want that traditionally based role in the house-for MY house, does that mean I am against all women and them being the girlboss they wanna be?? Lol. Absolutely not. So don’t act like this young man said anything about whats acceptable. He only mentioned that some of us can relate. Which is not incorrect.

I think you might fail to notice the undertone of his comment, paired with the constant negativity in which he talks about this actress, while she has virtually done nothing wrong other than to state her opinion. Same as with positive discrimination, it is important that some topics are over-represented and talked about so that people start to remove that internal misogyny that is so apparent in this guy’s speech. Nobody cares that they changed things up, just like they have so many versions of The Christmas Carol, but they changed the name and versions. Snow white comes from the fact that Snow White is as white as a snow. It is not a live action version, it is a changed story. So change the name. Women can be tough and still be rescued from evil witches by real men
lol have you seen the version with Lilly Collins? Lots of girls who have played Snow White are actually tan, and exactly *_zero_* have been literally white as snow. I don't particularly like this actress and I'm unimpressed by her attitude, but it's very obvious certain people are just mad that she's ethnic.
