I found it really clever, as the smoke monster symbolises his addiction to cigarettes and how damaging they are. We are then shown that by playing the piano, he is fighting the adduction, even though it keeps coming back!

The smoke monster .... maybe from something more than a mere cigarette....is trying to kill the Hero.
He realizes his folly and fights the smoke monster with his music.
He finally gets transformed into a very successful musician.👍

My way of seeing this is "The key was missing,He had to find his key,she was the key,she was his inspiration,his music,he was happy again,he performed at the bar" it was VERY good,loved how the sound of the key had the power to shine on the dark monster as a way to attack. Yes,She was the missing key,if im not mistaken,all the wooden statues were a key,and she was taken off place,she was the strongest key,or weak? or valuable? I dont know,something about her stuck out and the beast just had to have her taken out so he could get stronger.

Plot twist: the magic blue girl steals people who play piano then turns them into smoke monster things. The smoke people are trying to get their revenge.

A. That wasn't literal, Idk how often you fight smoke monsters and see blue glowing girls but yeah lol.
B. Similar to having a lantern or camp fire in a forest, things do not catch fire because something in their proximity are on fire. Takes direct contact for most woods to catch fire.
A: Just because there's magic involved or that it's not real, doesn't mean that basic laws of science don't apply. B: If you were in a dark, abandoned oil well (a new surrounding) would you light a match?

The character's eyes were always brown. The slightly different shade may have been due to the lighting or to the change in mood.

He felt choked by his fear, and it almost killed his artistic inspiration.

Option A:He has lost the passion of playing the piano. Then he falls into the piano (that is actually a reference to himself) and he falls back in love with the music and finds the missing piece to feel whole. Because playing keeps his muse safe.
Option B:
He lost someone close to him. so he finds the music may keep him/her.
Option C:
The cigarrete represent a vice. The bad guy in this case it's a smoky creature. So it may mean that vices affect your work in a bad way.
Option D:
Whatever you want it to mean. The way you see it will depend on your life until now. It depends on your history and learnings. So, if it didn't make sense to you now, try to watch it again in a week from now, or a year from now. Because even if the images are the same, the prespective you look at them will constantly change.

They are all fascinating and superbly done but I'm sure many more would have appreciated them better had you made brief explanation on what the stories are all about,instead of leaving us your viewers in the dark or guessing what it really is all about. Remember,the WORLD is your VIEWERS and of diverse culture,so in order for your messages to be more effective to all classes of people, young and old alike, MAKE A BRIEF EXPLANATION at the beginning of the story so we may understand it better. I truly like all your videos,it's just that I can not fathom some of them and the ideas seemed alien to me and I'm sure I am not alone in thinking that way so PLEASE BE MORE EXPLICIT about your stories.

Can there be a tangible or emotional reason why almost a hundred people voted this down? I'm really beginning to lose my hope for the future.
I actually didn't get the story. I thought it was about his smoking.
So I get what happened, but why? How? What importance does it have?
What's different about the glowy blue girl vs the rest of the living notes? Why bother to show us that the others are living and watching him if they never actually do anything?
I understand that the message here is the guy has to play all the notes because it keeps darkness and dust away., but the glow was never even attempted to be explained. And what's up with the 9 blue spheres at the beginning? To tell us that some wood's just magic?
