How to create curls with a flat iron
Curling with a flat iron is a practical technique to get a soft, beachy wave while keeping hair
sexy and loose.
Step one
Turn the flat iron to high heat so that the heat will set the curl quickly. Start at the back of the head and work toward the face.
Step two
Take a small section of hair in the iron. Pull it through, twisting your wrist to bevel the hair, which will naturally create the wave. Be sure the hair is being pulled out, up and through to create volume. It may take a few tries to find the motion that creates the desired curl. However, try not to go over the same section multiple times, because the hair will stop responding to the heat.
Step three
Continue the same technique until all hair is curled. Then, set the style with hairspray or style it by simple running through hair with fingers.
