Wow! I'd forgotten how breathtaking this performance was in its beauty. Oksana her skating is timeless. Oksana looked like a snow queen/ice fairy out there on the ice. She reminds me of a porcelain figurine come to life. This was exquisite proving real skating is about expression---not jumps which can't entertain, tell a story or express a mood etc.. This program makes me so emotional especially the way she's pouring her heart into this program especially at 2:44. There will never be another Oksana. This was right before the DUI. Imo she is the only skater who is better without a program with the jumps. Respect for her strong comeback and the drama of the dove lamore Lutz circa ice wars 1999. Her 1998 performances show the story of her life which is why she will always be my favorite person,actress, skater ever to be in the sport.
True that this was such a emotional program so sad she was going through so much physically .but the later years her comeback was even more inspirational as a pro skater love her

Thanks for posting this. I remember when she skated this for the first time in tribute to Sergei’s passing. She put all her emotions and tears into it. Not perfect but it brought me to tears.

Whenever a skater is skating or a dancer is dancing the camera must tape/film a full body shot. Its poor camera work to show only a skater's face and not the movements of their body.
@@ManuelPabloArnao No it was not. True that partying and not training as she should did not help the matter, it was the accident with her knee that was a big part of the problem. Her coach was told by the doctors that Oksana had to stay off the ice for months. If she did not her career as she knew it would be over. They had her competing a couple of weeks later and it never ended. Oksana was asked about her knee and she said it felt like a sponge. She could not jump as she once did.
@@carolkelly8848 The knee happened in Sun Valley in 1994! I know what I'm talking about and even a few months afterwards she said on televised interviews that it felt ok. This performance had nothing to do with the knee, it was lack of training as said by Petrenko in televised interview and partying.
Once again, Oksana does more flapping of her arms than actual skating. Her spins are very slow and very weak. Her jumps are always 2-footed (including those in her Olympic "win" that judges didn't take points off for) and she only skates fast when she's doing nothing but skating. She needs to skate her routine without doing anything with her arms and she'd see that this program lacks basically everything. And she has milked that doughnut spin for all it's worth. Not an even mediocre program from Oksana.
buddy brady ur trash this was an emotional performance for her he was dealing a death of her coach an a lot of personal issues health wise this was an exquisite performance stop hating on her expressions through her hands an bodies .ur obviously not a aksana fan so it'll bye
buddy brady you may want to get your eyes checked as she kept up good speed in this program. Also, it’s funny you say she has too much arm movement in this program yet if you took the time to compare to majority of her numbers you would notice this program is stripped down of most of the arm flapping. She only 2-footed her flip at the Olympics but at least attempted a triple where as Nancy only did a double flip. You should do your research before posting your comments bc nobody will take you serious if you continue to spew lies, etc.

amazing. thats what skating should be about. jumps are great but this breath taking perfomance stands alone.

That knee was ripped to shreds it had been the cause of all the problems.
