Devdas was a cultural reset. Shreya Ghoshal's debut, introducing the grandeur of classical music and dance to a new generation which was too swept up in westernising, and finally seeing Madhuri Dixit a role she was born to do! I will never get over Devdas's perfect music album, dance performances, and cinematography.
Aishwarya rai was the iconic star you forgot to mansion . it was her movie !
Aishwarya was great no doubt, but madhuri stole the show in my perspective

Bajirao was superb but Priyanka as Kashibai was extraordinarily amazing.
She was FAR from extraordinary..... Maybe in comparison to Deepika and Ranveer, she was ok...

Bro for me Ram Leela was quite underwhelming. Padmavat is better than that.
He was taking about experiment and world building, with Ram leela, he made a new aspect of his own but in Padmavat we feel that Bajirao Mastani is copied.... Many similarities

Guzarish is the best film of SLB according to me. The film is set in just one house that too with a guy who can't move yet so lively. The film not only looms good but also emotionally connect with you.
For me 1. Hum Dil de, Guzarish, DevD, Black all are no 1. I could watch all those movies over and over again.

Choosing Padmavat at no. 10 is weird in my opinion
Like ik that movie had flaws but the music , the cinematography, the aesthetic ,the dialogs , and more importatnt that climax scene was brilliant . The only climax which was somewhat better than that of devdas .

Putting Padmavat at number 10 is absolutely criminal !!! Agree that there were some issues with the lead actor's chemistry but what Sanjay Leela Bhansali did in the climax scene is something next to magical !! I still get goosebumps every time I watch that scene. It is at par with Devdas's climax scene !! Pure cinematic brilliance these two films are !!
Devdas will remain numero uno. But I wish you had spoken more about Madhuri as chandramukhi. Madhuri's best work till date.

Black is definitely the 2nd best SLB work after Devdas! Bajirao Mastani in my was a more about grandeur and aesthetics. It did not personally connect to it and infact it was even boring to me to a great extent but Black is once in a lifetime experience. I just loved that movie!

Musical wise:
1. Devdas / Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
- these two movies have the best music not only among SLB films but probably among most Bollywood movies in the contemporary times.
2. Khamoshi / Black / Guzaarish
- sometimes silence speaks a thousand words. Being typically loud and dramatic, SLB's silent and minimal musical approach turns out to be the anchor in these movies.
For the rest of the movies, despite being grand and lavish, the music are mostly soulless and just there to complement the scenes.
P/S: Ismail Darbar, wherever you are. Please start making music again sir...
