I can shamelessly say that I've watched The Proposal over 20 times 😭😭
Same
I've watched it more times 😂 😂 😂
I haven't made it to that many times, yet, but am certain I will.
Never seen it, now I have to.
5×
The Proposal is very underrated.
Very true that is my fave film makes me laugh every time
That woods scene with Betty white is enough to brighten my day
@@jamiwright6136 I love that scene but I can’t stand watching it for too long, it makes me cringe when she starts singing low.
One of my favs 😂
It’s my favorite romcom😍😂
Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are such an unexpected and odd pairing but they are one of my favorites anyways. They work really well and the comedy in this movie is really great as well.
I liked Two Weeks Notice more
i watched the proposal not to long ago and i was thinking the same exact thing!!! 🤩
I have watched Crazy stupid love so so many times that I can literally quote the entire movie.
There’s no way you can
Crazy stupid love is the #1 RomCom in my book
@@dudelytom actually it should be When Harry Met Sally instead
Yes this is supposed to be in the list, not honorable mention.
Be better than The Gap.
Best advice ever.
When Harry Met Sally will always be #1 in my book. An absolute classic!
How you put just 10? All time? Right 😆 more like last 20 years??
Yeah it's true When Harry Met Sally is a classic, a very fun classic
I agree with you. Rob Reiner and Nora Ephron sat down and basically thrashed out the male and female sides of relationships. You MUST watch the bonus material for these interviews. Case in point: Nora told Rob that women fake orgasms and he disagreed. This is the origin of one of the best scenes in rom-com history. And there are so many others. Frightening true!
Definitely agree. Started off stupid when they put this at 10. You've Got Mail or Sleepless wasn't there, too.
On online articles... It's rated as number 1
We need Kurt and Goldie from Overboard. I watched it yesterday and had forgotten how hilarious that movie was
Hello
How are you doing
“How to lose a guy in ten days” is definitely my number one but, “The proposal” is also one of my favs and of course “My best friend’s wedding” it’s just hilarious
Yes to My Best Friend’s Wedding! And I love How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days!!!
i am here to shamelessly confess that I have watched The Proposal almost 30 times, to the point that I have even memorized their exchanges &&& that Sandy B. and Ryan are a wonderful comedic pair---their timing is just sooo perfect
Me too!
Knotting Hill, Bridget Jones' Diary, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty Woman: Not even mentioned! You blew this one MsMojo!
Great choices.
Notting Hill was ultimate!
I know right? Notting Hill and Bridget Jones's Diary are REALLY good..
@@shreyasuresh8060 it is easily one of the greatest, but definitely not that funny.
Yep, they had too many films with cheap pre-teen boy laughs.
All romcoms starring Hugh Grant are hilarious, can’t believe they didn’t make it to the list.
Hello
How are you doing
Notting Hill my all time favorite along with Music and Lyrics and Two Weeks Notice. So I agree Hugh Grant is a great male lead in Rom Com.
I can not get beyond the fact he choose a prostitute over Elizabeth Hurley.
I can... It's an American list... Bland Bland Bland...
We used to watch Nine Months whenever it was on HBO
Just Friends, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Wedding Singer, Coming to America, The Proposal, How to Lose a Guy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding .. these are literally some of my all time favs lol
Cannot believe that “Two weeks notice” didn’t even feature in this list. Both Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant are hilarious in it.
I love both Sandra and Hugh but I think Two Weeks Notice was not that good
I loved "Two Weeks Notice"
Yeah Hugh was a riot 😂
Agree 100%
"10 Things I hate about you" is a very good modern take on Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" and I pretty good rom-com.
10. When Harry mets Sally
9. Just friends
8. Moonstruck
7. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
6. My best friend's wedding
5. Coming to America
4. The wedding singer
3. The Proposal
2. How to lose a guy in 10 days
1. My big fat Greek wedding
Honorable mentions(really good ones, seen some of them):
.Isn't it romantic
.27 dresses
.Crazy stupid love
.Four weddings and a funeral
.She's the man
Should have included friends with benefits too
Thank you 😊
Crazy Stupid Love is in a class of its own. Hilarious! One of my favourites!
Crazy Stupid Love is my favorite
They also mentioned 50 First Dates, but should have included Blended as well for Adam Sandler/ Drew Barrymore. Another one with Kate Hudson /Matt Mconoughey is Fool’s Gold.
I love all these movies!!!! My Big Fat Greek Wedding is so universal to all close-knit families. I love that movie because it reminded me of my Dad’s family members, very kind and close-knit quirky and hilarious bunch of folks.
Me too! My poor husband has a smallish family while I have an enormous family. Just like this movie it was a major culture shock for him! Just like the movie we ended up close to my childhood home and my poor husband had to help my dad out of more than one pickle as he grew old.
It's nice that Ryan reynolds comes up on this a few times
One of my favs is The Wedding Planner, mostly because it feels like too often in rom-coms, when the person of the main character's dream is taken, they either turn their significant other into a villain, or they completely ignore that the character we're supposed to root for hurt someone else who did nothing wrong. In The Wedding Planner, not only does JLo not hook up with the engaged guy she's falling for, but he and his fiancé decide on their own they shouldn't get married. It had a lot of funny moments, and everyone did the right thing for themselves and the other people. Win-win!
I’m not at all ashamed to say that I’ve seen The Wedding Singer countless times. It’s so great!
So great!!!😂🎉
I’m not a big fan of Adam Sandler but Just Go With It is hilarious and really sweet. Him and Jennifer Anniston have great chemistry.
Have you watch murder mystery? I think it was better comedy from the duo😁😁
Nicole Kidman and Dave Matthews steal every scene they're in in that movie!
50 First Dates is such an amazing movie. Or maybe it's the ending that made me love it more than Wedding Singer
The Wedding Singer is in my top 10 of favorite movies. The scene when Adam sings "That's All" is sweet. I have the Wedding Singer on VHS and have watched it multiple times. I also like Just Go with It and 50 First Dates.
I never get tired of Coming to America. The camera angles and the character interaction with the camera make it a classic.
How to lose a guy in 10 days is one of my all time favorites ❤
The proposal was hilarious!
13 going on 30 was always one I found hilarious!
If it's romantic and got Ryan Reynolds in it gosh it has got to be an all time banger 😂 he's so good at what he does THE PROPOSAL the best !
The Proposal was a complete surprise to me. Betty White stole the movie, hands down.
I see the proposal, I click. I'm a simple girl.
Exactly what made me click this video.
Leap Year is my absolute favorite ❤
Mine too!
Yes!!!!
omgeeeee I've watched more than 10x 🙈🥰
My Big Fat Greek Wedding is my favorite rom-com of all time. It’s one of the only movies my mom, sister, and I can watch together. We quote it all the time 😂😂😂😂
My big fat Greek wedding was the right answer. I cried laughing just watching those snippets again
Me too! I need to find this again
Either "The Proposal" or "It's Complicated" tops my list. I especially love John Krasinski as the son in-law in the latter!!
Yasss he was soooo funny
Hello
How are you doing
another one of my favorites that addresses dating as we age is "Something's Gotta Give" funny and hopeful.
and I'm in for anything (esp humorous) done by JK. What he can communicate with his eyebrows!
I've watched the proposal and how to lose a guy in 10 days back to back in a day and i couldn't make one of them my absolute favourite rom com, cause they're both freaking amazing...
I love My Big Fat Greek Wedding. So funny. Also, so happy to see The Wedding Singer getting some recognition.
My personal favorite is “While you were sleeping”
I was looking for it to be number one, yet it did not get mentioned.
agree!!!
Yup
One of my favorites;) “it looked like he was leaning”, soooooo funny;)
@@christinehamilton2075 We love that quote too!
I have to go away old school for my favs- Bringing Up Baby and The Philadelphia Story, both with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. 🙂
When Harry met Sally only nr 10? It should be Nr 1 with all those brilliant conversations
I love when the movie is more comedy than romance lol
Moonstruck is my parents' favorite movie because it was the movie they saw on their first date, then a few years later, when I was five, we got backstage tickets to meet Cher at a concert! Isn't that awesome?
Many of these are so good! The Proposal, My Best Friends Wedding, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Four weddings and a Funeral (honorable mentions), Coming to America and so many more!
I am not even ashamed to love these romantic comedies.
Definitely think What’s Your Number should be on here!! It’s hilarious and it has Chris Evans
Oh, that movie is so funny!
"Notting Hill" should be on the list. The scenes with Rhys Ifans (the roommate) always have me laughing SO hard, my jaws hurt. Also hilarious: "It's Complicated."
It’s Complicated is definitely the best!
10:17 “nah honey it’s just sleeping”🤣🤣
Thank you! 50 First Dates for sure. Also Along Came Polly, The Family Stone, The Invention of Lying, Just Like Heaven, Look Who's Talking, Nine Months, Something's Gotta Give, Wedding Crashers, What Women Want, and Yes Man. I know they're not all strictly romantic comedy formula, but each has a central romance, and they're all hilarious!
You jus t reminded me "Because I Said So" with your list. So funny!
Hello
How are you doing
I love the Family Stone!
My Best Friend's Wedding DOES have a happy ending!!!! A happy ending is not necessarily the girl ending up with the boy. Jules becomes a better person and does the right thing in the end. Plus, she gets to dance with Rupert Everett
Yes!
I agree. I’ve always loved the ending 🙂
This was always such a great, realistic ending. Bettering yourself is loving yourself, the ultimate love story.
Look behind you. Nobody’s chasing you.!! Classic
Yes! The right people married each other. Julia Roberts' character was only meant to be the best friend. She selfishly ignored that fact simply because she didn't want to loose the guy, who was never hers to begin with.
I have seen all of these and ”Forgetting Sarah Marshall” made me laugh till I got teary eyes.
I absolutely love My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I am so glad it is number one on this list!! OPA!!!!
Hello
How are you doing
Yyyeeesss 🤩 I don't know how many times I've watched and just never got tired of it. The 2nd film was very funny also
and as a vegetarian, I esp get a kick out of the "he don't eat no meat!?" scene. That's Ok, I make lamb.
Was actually the only one on here that I liked, and I love it, too!
I grew up in Toronto, and lived near Greek Town, just north of the Danforth. Most of my girlfriends were Greek, and this movie reminded me of hearing about having to go to Greek school and the like!! Wonderful movie!!!
Glad to see Moonstruck included. I love this movie.
I've seen Moonstruck probably 15x and I never grow tired of it.
Moonstruck really is one of my all time favourites!! The plot is just so catchy
How do you not have Overboard on this list?
I like the original, but I love the remake.
THE PROPOSAL All the way!!
It's my go to comfort and feel good movie....I've already seen it a billion times and can go for a trillion more!!!
SAME!!! So so good
I consider While You Were Sleeping (Sandra Bullock/Bill Pullman) the funniest, followed by Only You (RDJ/Marissa Tomei), after that it is The Mirror Has Two Faces (Barbara Streisand/Jeff Bridges). These are all seriously overlooked.
Top 4 would be Mrs. Winterbourne (Ricki Lake/Brendan Fraser) but that is probably just me.
Same thought
I love the Mirror has two faces 🙌🏻
Yes to While you were sleeping
Going the Distance doesn't get enough love for how hilarious it is. Supporting cast Christina Applegate, Jim Gaffigan, Charlie Day and Jason Sudiekis crush the laughs.
'The Proposal' is my all time favorite💕💯
My number 1 is definitely Made of Honor. This movie is ✨gold✨, and Michelle Monaghan is just perfect in it❤️
Never seen it and never will because it’s not my kind of movie. I know I would hate it if I saw it which will never ever happen
I never said everyone should watch it. If you dont want to, suit yourself. Just wanted to mention it for others who might be interested in funny rom coms, which is what this video is about. 🙂
Love Michelle Monaghan.
Hello
How are you doing
@@carolinelowe6304 then why are you commenting on a video about rom-cons if they aren’t your kind of movies?
I like this channel because I get great recommendations for things to see. I mostly agree with the choices for best films, etc. It's the choices that I have never viewed that intrigue me. I will dig into these. Thanks, MsMojo! 😇
One of the most iconic lines of a movie is “I’ll have what she’s having”! Love Harry met Sally!
My top 10 rom-comes off the top of my head -
10. While You Were Sleeping
9. Sliding Doors
8. Always Be My Maybe
7. The Object of My Affection
6. Trainwreck
5. Warm Bodies
4. Four Weddings and a Funeral
3. Crazy, Stupid Love
2. The Wedding Singer
1. Bridget Jones's Diary
Great list. Warm Bodies is under-rated. But is sliding doors really a rom-com?
@@docnevyn5814Thank you! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Warm Bodies, but it's truly become one of my favorites and holds up on multiple viewings. I go back and forth myself on Sliding Doors, because it's not really set up in the typical rom-com format and has some genuine tragedy. But the movie is overall fun and has some genuinely funny scenes, and it ends on a hopeful note. Also very rewatchable, so for me it makes the cut.
Sliding Doors was awesome! But not sure I’d call it rom-com... but it was brilliant. Disappointed While You Were Sleeping was not on the list or even an honorable mention.
Sliding Doors is one of my favorites. Bridget Jones and 4 Weddings an a Funeral awesome too.
The Object Of My Affection … my favorite movie starring Jennifer Aniston.
👍👍
"how to lose a guy in 10 days" made my decade!!!! That yellow dress and Kate Hudson was just fantastic. You want to see Kate Hudson being phenomenal watch NINE!!! OMG she is just over the top wonderful!!! BTW Daniel Day Lewis is in the movie.
" She's the man " was fun to watch
While You Were Sleeping should be number 1.
She’s the man! A classic
Never seen and never will. Because it’s not my kind of movie. And I know I will hate it if I ever do watch it which will NEVER HAPPEN
Totally agree! It should’ve been on this list imo
@@carolinelowe6304 ok ?
@@brisiiil8214 I’ll never watch she’s a man because it looks so stupid and I probably would hate it
@@carolinelowe6304
Maybe yes, maybe no.
You'll never know until u watch it.
It's true I never thought of The Wedding Singer as a rom-com but it's definitely my favorite in this!
Excuse me. My best friend’s wedding has the best ending
“But by God, there’ll be dancing”. ICONIC
I'm lukewarm on My Best Friend's Wedding as a whole, but the ending scene with the phone call...that one scene I'll watch over and over
I guess that my age is showing. I'd include: The Apartment (1960); Harold & Maude (1971); Heartbreak Kid (1972); Annie Hall (1977); and Her (2013). And I've still not mentioned thirty or forty other excellent choices, almost all from the last century.
The proposal 😍 love it
Moonstruck is one of my all time favorite movies... it has one of the best monologues in film. Agree with The Proposal, How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding... some of the Honorable Mentions were better than the other films. Bridget Jones Diary, Knotting Hill, Sleepless in Seattle... all deserved a spot over the movies with cheap laughs.
When he starts singing at the top of his lungs while laying on the floor in The Proposal I scream every time I watch it 🤣😭😂
The Wedding Singer! “I’m mrs. Julia Gulia!” 😭
It’s so funny when she’s freaking out over her last name being Julia Gulia. Then it switches to incredibly endearing when she’s Mrs. Robbie Heart. It imakes you “Awwwww.” out loud.
That's a terrible movie
the honorable mentions are real gems for me
My favorites:
You’ve Got Mail
The Proposal
When Harry Met Sally
Someone Like You
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Moonstruck
You’ve Got Mail is probably my all time favorite. I also like Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson in Fool’s Gold. They have great chemistry.
These are great contemporary picks but missing some classics: Bringing up Baby, Philadelphia Story, Arsenic and old lace to name a few.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding is one of my favorite romcoms of all time, and it is worthy of being #1 on this list ^.^
"Bringing up Baby" is #1 for me. You totally overlook olde, classicr films.
The proposal and my big fat Greek wedding are total favourites! ❤️
i was waiting for blended to show up but maybe that can be for another list
The Proposal is one of my favorites! The scene in the woods......
The proposal and She's the man are my favorite and I'm not gonna lie, I watched these movies for a couple of times😅
I'd say I agree with about 4 or 5 of these. There are so many it's impossible to boil it down to 10, but I definitely would put some of these at the top.
"While You Were Sleeping"and "Wedding Date" are my 2 favs!
Yes!!!! My big fat Greek wedding as number 1!!!! So happy!!!! (Can you tell I’m Greek? 😂😂😂😂😂)
well i gonna watch THE PROPOSAL again, cant remember how many times lolz
Friends with benefits was my first romcom that made me fall in love with this genre
My Big Fat Greek Wedding is seriously my actual favorite movie. I can recite the entire thing. What a gem.
The proposal is hands down my fav romcom of all time. 🙌🙌
The proposal is the only romantic movie I watched as a teenager and want to do a rewatch as an adult. Ryan and Sandra were wonderful but granny is the reason I will watch this movie a hundred times and one more time
How did While you were sleeping not make this list?! Four weddings and a funeral should have been higher. Love The Proposal!!
very very great fun list I like it a lot great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever the proposal is one of the very best movies ever
How can you forget Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men? These are two of my favorites!
Same! They're so good! One of my all time faves. 🏝️
50 FIRST DATES IS HANDS DOWN THE FUNNIEST RO- COM!!!! IT HAS THE FUNNY SCENES😂 AND THE STORY IS SO ROMANTIC 😍
French kiss! Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline are hillarious!
She’s The Man!!! Me and my daughter have watched this so many times and laughed harder each time!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a staple in our household. We quote it all the time!
You can't put When Harry Met Sally and The Proposal in the list with the others. They are classics. I would have also added While You Were Sleeping; Serendipity; Sleepless in Seattle; Notting Hill; Love Actually; Nine Months; Pretty Woman; and Groundhog Day.
You picked 4 of the nons I was going to name: Notting Hill, Love Actually, While You Were Sleeping and Groundhog Day. Great movies, by which I mean can watch many times wthout tiring of them.
serendipity, sleepless/seattle and notting hill all qualify imho. have to admit i was pleasantly suprised that just friends was on this list though. very underrated rom-com. 'you're hollywood; you date models. he's jersey; he skies in his jeans.' lmao
You overlooked Notting Hill ! One of my favorites
Bro “The Ugly Truth” should of been on here because it’s so funny and I love the chemistry between the two characters.
I agree
Crazy stupid love is always no 1 rom com for me 😂
What about old movies, It Happened on Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert or Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson
The proposal is my fav romcom of all time. I've watched it more than 10 times and I sill can't get over it
Strange order of these movies. Four Weddings and a Funeral in honorable mentions? And When Harry met Sally on no 10? And no Love Actually or Notting Hill? Well, again, strange.
My thoughts exactly, also Bridget Jones' Diary. Seems they don't like Hugh Grant that much.
Notting hill is one of my all time favs..
must be a teen-20something demographic.
