Holy shiiiit!!!!! This gave me the goosebumps, like I get from Chris Cornell. I get the comparison. I’m not a big country fan but damn! It goes right up your spine! Peace and love man!
Just purchased one of your tee shirts with your motto about being a Good Human - which has now become a favourite of mine as well. Pretty in pale pink. Thanks, Jamel, for being a positive change in the world and making it a more accepting, united & beautiful place in which to live. ✌❤😊🌎
I'm so glad to hear someone give props to Morgan like she deserves. Chris blows you away and people are so enthralled that she is mentioned only as backup, and she is so much more. She is the muse, the inspiration for this song. And the looks between the two are so touching and sincere, it just takes the song to another level of real. Her voice is pure and clear and compliments his more grounded and grit sound. Thank you for a great reaction as always! Love and light always. ❤️🙏😇
I was just talking with my friend last night about how much I missed going to concerts and live performances. People try to say zoom is the same, but you don't get that same energy of being in the room with the artist and hearing their passion and enthusiasm.
My grandfather used to sing that to me. He died 10 years ago so at my wedding we played this during what would've been our dance. I cried so hard but it was a good kinda crying
I am from Tennessee, but I have never been a country music fan. But......I love this guy, man! He crosses those borders between genres of muslc and his heart shines through! Kinda like Toby Keith. You made a great choice on this one, bro! Peace!!!
As they say behind every great man there is an even greater woman, and she not only got him to sober up she got him to believe in himself and show the world how great he truly is..THAT IS A GREAT WOMAN..some of us are blessed to find that soul in our lives and to appreciate them for the beautiful souls they are..TY mate for sharing this one loved it immensely!! Keep Safe Keep Strong
David Allan Coe version was personally my first intro to the song growing up. Then I found out it was a cover from George Jones. Chris Stapleton's version definitely needed to grow on me, and I'm sure glad it did.
@@martinrosenqvist1537 Hi, I had never heard of him before. I went & take a listen to him & WOW! What an extremely talented vocalist! He sings with such ease, nothing forced or strained. I don’t know if I would say he’s better than Chris Stapleton but I will say he holds his own against him. Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate it. 👆🏻☮️
I love Chris Stapleton and i knew this incredible singer last year. So wasted time! Jamal you have a lot fans in Brazil! Thanks for sharing us your reactions, its so truly and funny at same time. Keep going. Greetings from Brazil!
My 2 year old and I have been watching you for a while....we absolutely love you and your videos...the cutest part about watching my son with you...is he emulates every move you make with your hands and arms...he tries to repeat your words and everything....he loves you!!!!
THANK YOU JAMEL!!! you are the first (of many i've seen) to acknowledge him look at morgane when sings "and brought me back from being too far gone". i also note that he gives her a subtle smile then too. love that. i recently watched them sing "farther along" with leslie jordan-- i didn't really know his name and sure didn't know he sang. morgane's voice in that song! like an angel.
Your reaction to this song the first time was the very first time I checked out a reaction video and I've been hooked ever since. I sometimes watch your reactions over and over because the music is incredible and you just can't help but smile.
Jamel, when you said something like “ He didn’t just get invited to the cookout! “He was there at the park waiting for us to get there!” I nearly fell off my chair laughing! 😂. Funniest thing I’ve heard in quite awhile. Great job covering this one, fine sir.❤️
I did not walk into this expecting that!!! I knew it would be amazing, but I didn't know he could play guitar like that! Nice Fender he's got there too!
JUST Fell in love with this guy about two years ago - not usually a country fan, but this man is AMAZING.. CAUGHT him on an SNL performance (with another fantastic guy named Sturgill Simpson)
LOVE your C&W picks - Glad you left your “cowboy” hat on the rack for this one. Come to Fort Worth & I’ll treat you to a proper (custom) cowboy hat along with a night of great BBQ, rodeo, & of course live music in the historic FtW Stockyards. It would be an honor to show you some Texas hospitality. Thank you for what you do.
First time I heard him I was also blown away. Somewhere on CZcams there is a father singing that song to his daughter while she is passenger. It made me cry. Try to find it.... I don't know the man's name.
Have you reacted to the song he collaborated with Justin Timberlake called Say Something? I think you would love it! They say they did the video in all one take.
Even tho I'm 18 mos late to the cookout, Jamal...you never cease to entertain and keep us comin back. I personally want to thank YOU for being a Good Human! Much love to ya, brother! 💜🥰 👏
During these lonely days, isolated from human exposure, watching you groove on these songs make me want to hang out and listen to music with you. It’s really refreshing to watch someone appreciate the art in its beauty. In a day in age where music performance no longer feels important, you remind us that it is important. I really dig your videos. Cheers!
I love that you did this! I have seen and heard this live version and the non-live versions so many times that I've gotten so used to them. However, it's been a hot minute since I last did. Watching and listening along with you made it seem new enough that I got me some huuuuuge goosebumps again! Love it! Thanks for the great reaction, as usual!
If you like Stapleton, you should also check out Jason Isbell. A country sounding guy who is not exactly country. Tremendous lyricist who can rock pretty good live. "Cover Me Up" and "Elephant" can bring a tear to the eye. "If We were Vampires" is oddly enough a tender love song.
Watching him live is unbelievable. I saw his show in Atlanta last year. Hands down the best concert I've ever seen. If you ever get the the chance check out him singing "Higher Than The Wall" SteelDrivers. When I heard that song I immediately became a fan. Very pleased that He is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
I seen him live in knoxville TN in 2019. He filled up the huge arena. He sounds as good live as in studio which many do not. One of a kind song writer and performer. I have seen many concerts, and this one is ranked top 3 if not number 1.
Ooooooooo wee!! Chris just took us to church didn't he Jamel? I looked through your list & didn't see "I Was Wrong" at Austin City Limits. Did I miss it? 🤔 It's one of his BEST!! ❤🎵✌
At first I didn't like this version because I was so familiar with the David Allan Coe version. It has since grown on me. This is some awesome honky tonk blues right here! Keep great music alive!

"That was the run that got him to the cookout" made me laugh so hard I had to use my inhaler. 😂😂🙌✌️
Lol. Smooth oh yes
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (love your name!!😉)
He’s such a great singer, that a lot of people don’t notice how much of a bad ass he is on the guitar
You’re right I didn’t notice until you mentioned it he is just as great on the Guitar
@Chris Stapleton thank you for making this Great Song can’t tell you how many times I have played your song back to back💙💙💙
I definitely noticed. He is an incredible musician.
He used to do Bluegrass...got to be able to play to be any good at that.
Him singing to her is so intimate that you kind of feel like an intruder!!!! So beautiful!!!💜💜💜🎵🎼🎶🎸🥁🎤

What a great performance. But even more, props to you, Jamel, for being a bright light during these dark times. Much thanks.

His voice is so powerful and hers compliments his perfectly
Listen to them singing "You are my Sunshine"
Morganes voice is hauntingly beautiful
Seen them live twice, first time they sang "you are my sunshine". My favorite song of the night.
My grandfather used to sing that to me. He died 10 years ago so at my wedding we played this during what would've been our dance. I cried so hard but it was a good kinda crying
WTH How can someone not like this?!?!
Jamel, this is part of a four song set he did at Austin City Limits! The whole set is great.

Whether Chris Stapleton or George Jones this song gets me every time. Chris Stapleton’s voice always give me goosebumps
David Alan coe did it also.
Forgot about David Allen coe version of this song

If you love he and his wife singing together, check out Traveler or Nobody to Blame as live versions. They sing together beautifully
Yeah, he gets dirtay in this version. You’d leave this show with grit on your skin. 😁
"I Was Wrong" is another live track you should consider.
There's a video of Chris Stapleton in April 2016 at The Greek Theatre doing an awesome 'Nothing Compares to You' tribute to Prince.
I remember seeing that, its amazing...and was it that long ago already we lost Prince? Time Flies.
I never get tired of hearing him sing, especially this song!!!
Stapleton is showing out! He made sure to give them their money's worth and then some.❤😘😍
Just a good ole boy from eastern Kentucky, where I was born and bred.
@Chris Stapleton Well since your Chris and all, you know me. My band opened for the Steeldrivers several times...what band was it?
Can’t beat this 👆🏻. Mostly everyone calls this country but I call it soul 💕💓💞
CHRIS KLÄFFORDS version is better

You need to do some Keith Whitley. I'm no stranger to the rain, When you say nothing at all, I don't go around mirrors, Don't close your eyes.
Oh, hell yeah. Love me some Keith Whitley, RIP.
Don't Close Your Eyes. Yes!
Definitely!!😊
He was such a promising songwriter...

Yeahhh... This is one of those songs that works in many genres. Could easily be a soul, blues, or country song, depending on the artist doing it.

I don't see Jamey Johnson in your reaction. Check out the song "In Color"
Im not a country music person, but i did see him in concert. Amazing music!

That guitar and the P90 pickups, popping them strang vibrations.
