- Ejections in baseball are not all that uncommon, but they're usually for reasons that make sense. These ejections are the ones that stand out as the most unusual...

If an umpire throws me out of a game as a fan I should be able to run on the field and argue with him like a manager
Yeah, you'll probably only get a fine and community service.
real
Nothing stopping you from trying
Aaaand Tschida is my new favorite umpire for actually being an adult and admitting he was in the wrong.
Reminds me of when a pitcher accidentally hits a batter and apologizes. To me that's a way better look than mean mugging.
My favorite wasn't for the ejection itself, but what happened after. Bobby Valentine gets ejected then puts on glasses and a fake mustache then continues managing the game. Proof that in real life the Clark Kent disguise does NOT work.
Thanks.... I forgot about that!!!
You forgot the best part of the Youppi ejection: it was already in extra innings of a 0-0 game, hence the sleepwear. When Youppi was ejected, the game was about halfway over.
Yeah he kinda misses the ball on that one. The whole reason everyone was pissed and youppi was just sad wa cause it was boring as shit😂
One of my favorite ejections was Adrian Beltre was told to get in the on deck circle, so he moved the mat 10 feet to where he was standing "on deck"
Umps are getting too powerful
They have been, they need to get fined every horrible call there shouldnt be exceptions for doing your job bad
So-called fans are being too big of b1tches. Yall cry almost as much as David Bell.
They gave had the same powers for 150+ years. It’s the personal that umpire having egos bigger then the game
@@scottwebb6570yup people have changed not the expectations/rules
They need to be abolished
One of my favorite ejections was when Lloyd McClendon decided that he was going to argue with all four umpires before leaving the field.
Didn't he literally take one of the bases with him?
@@TAFARockWarrior97 Different incident, but, yes, he also did that.
Classy move by Tschida
Such an old school Chicago move getting a mic calling out the ump and then singing take me out to the ballgame drunkenly.
That's why Mongo will always be king.
Youppi got thrown out of the same ball game twice: Tommy was mad because Youppi somehow got back into the field of play after being ejected.
12:19 I hope the box score also notes that the organist was thrown out for plating 3 Blind Mice
Hahaha yeah... I wonder if that got notated. Back in those days, the OS would have just written a note in the margins of the scoresheet. But nowadays, the stringer has to enter that into the Gameday stats. If memory serves, the stringer clicks the player (or coach or manager) then clicks the umpire that made the ejection. I can't imagine there is a slot for game staff.
That has to be the most petty move by an ump ever. Someone bruised his fragile little ego, so he tosses someone that's not even on the field.
The last one had my wife thinking I was crying.
I remember the thing with Lasorda. He was good at complaining and getting others, and himself, ejected. The Phanatic with the Lasorda effigy was hilarious.
I do remember from my childhood seeing an Astros reliever get tossed from cursing after a close miss. He quickly explained that he was mad at himself and not the call and was able to keep pitching.
Fun fact about Youppi: When the Expos left Montreal after the 2004 season, the Canadiens of the NHL instantly hired Youppi as their new mascot & is one of the most beloved mascots in the NHL.
Another cool ejection, not just for the ejection but for what happened after: Babe Ruth got tossed after walking the first batter, then charged the plate to literally attack umpire Brick Owens. Ruth's teammates had to literally drag him off the field. Then reliever Ernie Shore - with almost no warmup, mind you - came in and recorded 27 straight outs, effectively pitching a perfect game.
EDIT: but no... not as fun as a ventriloquist player. Great capper, sir!
Babe was tossed after one pitch for hitting the first batter.... and I believe it was a "called shot" which led to the short hook from the ump.
Shore didn't exactly retire 27 batters either.... He picked the inherited runner off at first, then went on to face and retire all 26 batters he faced. So he DID record 27 outs, but by only facing 26 hitters.
I will never forget Youppie’s ejection
It's a wild one to me because he wasn't even doing anything. Maybe if he was like banging on the dugout roof or something like that but he was just sleeping. Or like give him a "get off the dugout" warning first.
Adrian Beltre will always be an all time classic ejection
The Realmuto ejection was in spring training so I honestly think he was happy to get an early end of his day… but had that been a pivotal game he woulda been going bat shit just like any normal person 😂😂
Youppi! is still the mascot of Montreal Canadiens
Expected another cut-n-paste bunch of videos. I have seen these before. But your commentary and behind the scenes information works very well. 👍
My favorite part of the JT. Realmuto ejection is when the umpire is speaking to the manager you can see the umpire go, “Welp…I don’t know.”
The Realmuto toss was hilarious 😂
The ump who unejected a player deserves the world.
Youppi is not the only MLB mascot to be ejected. A few years later, Blue Jays original mascot, BJ Birdie was ejected from a game by an umpire as well. I don’t remember what he did to get tossed as I didn’t see that game, I only remember the next night when CTV or TSN commentary team mentioned he was back in his usual perch (platform) after being ejected the night before
I knew immediately that Youppi would be on the list. PS he’s still around, as the mascot of the Montreal Canadiens.
What if the ump knew it was the fan in blue who said it? At the end of the day, all he said was "Let's go homeplate!", which isn't enough to be ejected as a fan.
LETS GO STARK RAVING SPORTS
This was funny vid. Props to making up the clips of the Angels Game
4:45
Nice to meet you Mrs. Gyya- ummm I mean Mrs. Met💀
Last one, ump: YOU DARE OPPOSE ME MORTAL? *DEATHGLARE* EVERYONE IS OUT, THE ANNOUCERS ARE OUT, THE OTHER TEAM IS OUT!
3rd Base, in hiding: *Is fighting hysterical laughter*
Dang. The McMichael incident happened the day I was born. That's a fun fact I have in my arsenal now
That blue jays one I saw in person it was pretty crazy
So the "Angel ejected McMichael" bit is actually wrong. Angel didn't eject him, the Crew Chief for the game, Randy Marsh, called security to have McMichael ejected. There is an article in the Chicago Tribune that confirms this. In the article Angel says he didn't signal for the ejection, he just stared up at McMichael after what McMichael said. Following this, Marsh comes over and tells Angels he will handle it and then calls security to eject McMichael. Angel didn't even ask to have McMichael removed, Marsh just did it on his own. The Chicago Tribune called Marsh and Marsh confirmed that Angel's story is what happened, that he (Marsh) called for McMichael's ejection, not Angel.
Always a good day when Stark Raving Sports uploads 😍
2:05 NEVER MIND THAT SHIT, HERE COMES MONGO
That JT one was spring training so I think his streak is still going
A couple of these I never heard about great video man
Raspberry😂😂
Bob Davidson ejected a fan at a brewers game in 2010. You actually used video from the game towards the end of the video
There was a time that umpire Bob Davidson ejected a fan during the Cardinals Brewers game.
You should’ve brought up when Trevor Hoffman got his 600th save, both mangers, a player, a bench coach, and a fan all got ejected if I remember correctly
Edit: the Ejection at 14:30 was the player ejected in that game
This reminds me of the movie “naked gun 2 1/2” where the ump started ejecting everyone 🤣
I thought I was the only one who used the term goober! That's worth hitting the subscribe button!
That J.T. ejection was during Spring Training, so it doesn't count.
Hernandez, rules of the game, laws of the game, unbiased. None of the last three can be used in the same sentence.
I read this in a book, which unfortunately I didn't buy: A manager had told his pitching staff that he would fine them if they threw a strike to a certain batter. When the umpire called a strike on that batter, the pitcher complained and became the only pitcher ever ejected for arguing a called strike!
lmao
Derek Dye is my new favorite organist
Why aren't we able to challenge ejections yet? Babies
Yoopi is now the Montreal Canadian mascot. SO he is still alive
This makes the game so embarrassing they could of corrected this umpires are bad
Well, since Youppie is a massive fan of the Montreal Canadiens, he is still active for the Habs!
Yééé!
This video is amazing
Angel Hernandez must be a big fan of Nick Patrick, WCW referee. Both think they are so great, yet both are considered the worst.
Steve McMichael was a WCW wrestler and commentator about five years before this incident.
"Come on Home plate"
Mule Haas with the stark raving farts.
When an umpire had an unsuccessful career at any level of peewee ball and decided to make it all about him. Sad.
I'm sick too because the Mets make me drink so much
Is that DB cooper in your pfp?
@@chrishale6333Yeah.
Boone is the last of a dying breed.
No Bobby valentine coming back with a mustache after getting ejected?
I talked about that in a recent vid so I wanted to have new stuff in this one
Yoppi is still around I do believe
Mario sluggers music is crazy
Mongo wasn’t thrown out by Angel Hernandez, he was thrown out by the 1B umpire (who was the crew chief, I think). The entire song, Angel was staring down Mongo from home plate, but he never tossed McMichael
Beltres ejection was strange
All mlb umps are just cop rejects lol. "I want a job where no one can tell me I'm wrong and no one can do anything about it if I am".
Somebody could do something about it, just have to find someone with nothing to lose.
Steve McMichael did not get ejected by Angel Hernandez, who is the first base on ump
Angel Hernandez was the greatest umpire ever.
Anyone else notice the lost woods song playing in the background 😂🔥
One of my favorite oot songs i had to put it in there haha
What about when John Lackey got ejected while the play was still going on, and Contreras got ejected as well (9/15/2017)
And Lackey got ejected after throwing only 2 pitches when he was on the Angels
The 2 pitch was against the Rangers... I was there.... Saturday afternoon game in Arlington.... it was early May, but Lackey was making either his first or second start of the year (and if it was his second he had been shut down for almost all of April between them).
It's hard saying... there WAS bad blood between the Angels and Rangers that had been brewing for 3 or 4 years.... did temers flare in that first half inning and Lackey went had hunting? Never really thought so, but it is possible. More likely, he hadn't thrown a live in game pitch in over a month and probably just let those first 2 slip, and the ump that day just decided to stop Amy shenanigans before they even started
@@sammycampbell1654 Yeah, funny how he missed badly twice, and they were both inside misses. Hmmm. The story is that some Angels were pissed about something that happened the season before (cant remember what it was) and were running their mouth before the game about how they were going to get even. Maybe the umps should have issued pre game warnings, but often these 'why did he get ejected' clips dont show the things being said before the incident. Angels fan and there is not a doubt in my mind that those 'misses' were meant to be misses.
@Heathcoatman yeah... like I said, there was bad blood everytime those teams got together for 3 or 4 seasons before the Rangers got "good" and made those WS runs in 10 and 11..... also, it was Ian Kinsler at the plate leading off that day, and Ian was a guy who always seemed to be smack dab in the middle of most shenanigans the Rangers were involved in.
@@sammycampbell1654 Kinsler was a good player, tough, team oriented gamer.
@@Heathcoatman he was also an abrasive and polarizing a-hole 🤣🤣🤣
A umpire throws my coach out of a game cause the other coach was stalling the game by saying there was something wrong with the scoreboard and their was not
how does an umpire have jurisdiction over a non player?
Raspberries are my favorite fruits
I feel sad for the expos mascot
Also where is the manager throwing the rosen bag like a grenade lol probably best after ejection antics. And also the old baltimore coach. Herzog or whatever
I believe Earl Weaver was the orioles manager. Lou Piniella also threw some awesome freakouts.
This video was extra funny. Raspberry.
It was actually the first base ump who threw out Steve “Mongo” Mcmichael. What’s even weirder… I just found that out earlier today
Angel Hernandez didn’t throw him out it was the other ump
Raspberry 😂
Wait, genuinely curious, when you said “as of recording this video they haven’t overturned the call,” what would be the purpose of overturning a manager ejection call?
Imo mostly would be a sort of apology since it wasn't boons fault and he shouldn't have been tossed. Also if he was fined they should probably reverse that too lol
Raspberry
I subbed
based Tschida
"Umpires are Soft Losers" exhibit "A"
Actually Angel did not trough put Mongo, the security did. (Angel do suck tho)
