I like this group of people. They respect her decisions, they might be old fashioned but its a respectful old fashioned
Exactly!!!
Agreed, a beautiful group of people. What a blessing to have a wonderful family like this
I love how the mom noticed her daughter's happiness first when she came out in that first dress.
Finally!! It's rare we see such a caring loving mother who realizes it's her daughters day and not hers
Nicely put.
So true, this mother was so cute. She REALLY wanted what she had pictured for so many years, but wanted her daughters happiness even more😊
To plain
These ladies are so formal and polite. They have their opinions but they were still so supportive of the bride.
welcome to the south love 💕
Start a new tradition. Her kids can choose if they want to wear the heritage dress or their mom's dress.
Or their own choice!
That would be the best
Exactly this. They can wear the heritage dress or choose their own.
Or, hear me out, she might not have children!!??
Or have all boys. I'm just saying that both dresses can be an option if anyone in the family wants to wear them.
I really loved the fact that her family was able to see past what they wanted and envisioned for her and supported her choice. It shows that, as important as tradition was to them, the happiness of the bride was more important.
What a true Southern and loving mother. Such a sweet family
That's like "Bless your heart."
What a wonderful mother. She would really have loved her daughter to wear the traditional dress but fully accepted the new dress.❤
I LOVE that 1st dress on her! It is so flattering on her.
The mother is really beautiful, I think. Nice that they all supported the bride's decision.
It's not their wedding. The bride is her own person.
Then I hope you're rich and ur paying for your own dress since usually that's not the case
LOL what?? On so many levels 😂
It is one of my favorite mother-daughter couples on the show! The Mom is so sweet. Even though she does not agree with the modern style, she remains calm and respectful of the designs.
I thought it was lovely, truly lovely, how the Mother and Aunt came to love the bride's choice. The bride glowed, and her family was thrilled for her.
So the grandma was able to choose her dress, but all of the other women don't?
Resourceful and honored Grandma
Great point.
They chose to wear the dress.
Some people love tradition.
And the money factor was a really big part of passing a dress.i been in few weddings in the bride recycle a dress I want to say is a great idea brides expend around 8 000 for a dress the shoes the veil I would like my daughter better use that money for a down payment of an apt o house I'm in a tight budget all the time
Lovely family, they were supportive of her choice
Just lovely 😂😂
good for the bride, i know a family where there is a legacy dress. it's from the 1940s, made of satin and lovely, but it's an optional thing. Some have worn it, some haven't. all brides know it's an option, but there is no issue, if they don't wear it. So good for Susan, it's her wedding, it's her dress, and always her choice
The whole family was beautiful and the Mom in particular. Every time she smiled, I smiled with her. The love she has for her daughter showed through.
I dont know..they always add the most tacky jewellery, but this time the necklace was beautiful and the consultant is laterally so nice and likable
That consultant was AMAZING. She picked the right dress from the get-go and seemed to also understand how the family would react. She knew just what to do! ❤❤❤
@@vbetta8979 Keisha and Aubrey were the best consultants on the show.
I don't know...I would not want to wear a dress SIX other women wore, over decades. Not for my wedding.
Keasha is so fun. She’s got a great laugh!
She’s got her own show now!!! Look up Keasha’d Perfect Dress :)
So much hate for the mom but she came around. She saw her daughter look happy. It made her happy. Good grief people. Mothers can have feelings about tradition and what’s proper. She didn’t force her daughter to wear the old dress
That necklace veil and flower in her hair! Perfection!
When I think of a wedding dress that has already been worn by 6 other people, all I can think about is bride-sweat. Yichh. I'm glad she found such a beautiful dress.
That looks like the most fun appointment I've seen! Good luck to them. They seem a lovely family.
Too bad they didn’t go see Lori in Atlanta. She knows how to handle these Southern Matrons. 😊
These moms/aunts were wonderful!! Mom said I have to back Susan!
@@Justicia007 Yes, ultimately they were very loving and gracious in supporting the bride's decision.
Yet they did not need "handling". They were accepting and wonderful.
That’s for sure 👍🏻
I agree with you
The first dress looked beautiful on her! So glad she got it!
I'm impressed with mom, she can see how the bride reacted in the dresses and reacted accordingly
The dress she picked with the veil, looked perfect for Mexico!!
Well done Momma our babies have there own personalities 🦋
Lovely family! It is hard to let tradition go, but they respected the daughter's happiness above all else.
That dress (first one) was absolutely gorgeous. But they all looked absolutely great on her. Stunning
The bride looked lovely in the dress she chose. ❤
Southern speak - Lovely is code for "over my dead body", just like "Bless Your Heart" is the prelude to a major insult.
Sorry but everyone in one family wearing the same dress makes it a uniform, like graduates wear and removes the individuality from the occasion. If a bride wants to wear a family dress that's one thing but pressuring the bride to wear the dress is weird.
This is an entourage every woman needs when buying a wedding dress. Loving and supportive.
Time to start a new tradition.
Love the supportive group for the bride & understanding where she us coming from. I must say, the mom had me w/ " I wouldn't have it any other way." Quote- so precious is family!🌺Bless them & their union.
I’m so PROUD OF HER!!!! I would loose my mind in that family lol 😂
She’s also setting an example for other girls AND women in the family that they should be who THEY are meant to be. NOT cram themselves to fit into a dress/image of someone totally different!
They see how happy and glowing she was in the first dress but they still ignored that.
Such sweet supporters of this bride, even though they were disappointed about the heritage dress and the tradition. Way to go Team Bride!
“It’s lovely? Take it off!” 😂😂
What an extraordinary video of Say Yes To The Dress! It's so well done from the communication between the generations to Keasha's comments and Randy's joke about the meaning of the words 😂
Even though I'd not have chosen that dress, I'm glad the bride did. She has such a great figure that she can wear anything! 👌
Thank you!
I kept watching the mother in this episode, and I kept having strong emotions as I listened to the Mother’s voice over and over again, I”m thinking and feeling that I have heard this voice before, where? And then it came to me, she’s Robin Williams, Mrs. Doubtfire, YES! That’s it! 👋🏻🧑🦳😊💐
You go, girl--it can't be a tradition if it is younger than I am--and I was born long before 1968!!! LOL
Great video. What a beautiful bride and lovely to see her stick to her own idea in the teeth of family opposition. But they all behaved impeccably. Text book decent behaviour and no hysteria 😊
She was stunning! Good for momma being a good momma!
I love Keesha’s laugh ❤️❤️❤️
She is young and beautiful. She doesn’t have to look like an old lady.
Oh my GOSH! The family dress was purchased in 1968 - now I feel old.
The mom looks like Allie's mom from the notebook.
It’s not their day! Eventually someone was not going to want to wear a ‘family’ gown!
It would be one thing if it had gone down to one bride per generation, but every bride in the family? Hard pass.
Ngl though, grandma's dress is really timeless
This was a fun episode they had me laughing 🤣 specially the consultant 😂❤
My father in law taught me a joke about saying, "How Nice," really means F U. LOL😂
This mom is great and raised a really cool daughter ❤
I loved the first dress!!! I'm so glad she chose it!!
Second dress was gorgeous!
This one made my cry.
I love the word 'lovely.' 😊
Beautiful dress for a beautiful rebel!!
If I travel to the South I'm in so much trouble, I call things lovely all the time - and mean it!!
She’s beautiful in the final look!!!!😊
No old lady dress. The bride is beautiful she will look lovely in a new dress.
I could never wear a wedding dress 6 other people had worn. 😒
So glad she's breaking tradition!!!!
I also love the heirloom dress. It's also beautiful and timeless!
I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful dress for her and it’s so suiting for Mexico. And her family (especially mom) is just adorable. Love the traditionalism but with space for change and acceptance and love. ❤️❤️❤️
This mum looks SO much like the mum in The Notebook
Well bless your heart. It’s lovely 🙌🏻❤️😂 beautiful bride. Love her mom and aunt
It's the bride's wedding. Her wedding, her wedding dress. I'm not sure why this is so complicated 😆 this family needs boundaries
Great pic on the dress. It looks so beautiful on her.
I love the dress and the veil!!
Classy way to love your daughter...way to go, Southern Momma❤
The heritage dress is classic and stunning.
Such a sweet family 🤍
Beautiful that she breaks with that tradition 👌🥰 you dont want to wear something on that day that doesn't really make you happy...but does make the family happy.. no, its you're day with you newly husband ❤
I loveeee this! 👌💜
What a sweet family❤️
The last dress was my favorite! Good choice! ❤
Love the dress behind the brides when they're sitting in front of the camera. Wish someone would try that one.
Love the Chanel shoes her mother was wearing.
I will say the great grandma chose a beautiful dress.
Why only show brides strapless gowns? I have been to weddings where the brides wear different necklines, with sleeves, all sorts and they are beautiful.
These were taped several years back . Strapless was a big deal. I did bridal gown alterations and they all wanted the same thing. Cap sleeves and ballet necklines had a spree too for a while. Big ball gowns. Popularity goes in waves. Now it’s those awful deep v cleavage gowns. I quit.
That is one smart mom.
I assume they will still preserve the dress. If any daughters are born into the family and would like to take on the tradition, they still could. This dress fit her personality so incredibly well. I am glad she stood up for herself and her family stood behind her and supported her decision.
Es un capítulo viejo...pero qué linda quedó la novia con ese vestido, bellaaaa!
So many episodes the Mom has to have her way! I see sad brides choosing a dress just please the mother. Finally an episode that the bride got it right!
looks so good on her!
There shouldn’t be an “our” when talking about wedding goals. 😂
This is the bride and groom’s day, full stop. At least this family is supportive of the bride.
what a wonderful family....I wouldn't have it any other way....is the epitome of love.
I think the dress, veil, and necklace were stunning. ❤
55 year old southern lady here, and the word "lovely" being an insult is news to me. Never ever heard that nor was ever told that.
Still am very glad the mom recognized how happy her daughter was.
They flew in for an intervention? And she said she’s fearless…it’s just a wedding dress lady.
🤣😂at least they didn’t say “well bless your heart!”
I think her mother knew that the first one was it the moment she saw her daughter's face.
I don’t like “sexy “wedding dresses either
I love the bottom of dress 1, I love the layer look
She looks lovely in her gown. I would like it even better if she wore a bolero jacket over her shoulders just for the ceremony.
Good for her breaking tradition. It's the bride's choice.
