- Voters in the UK head to the polls in a general election with immigration as a major issue facing them.
Both major parties say they want to bring the number of immigrants down.
But many industries say this is affecting them.
Al Jazeera’s Milena Veselinovic visited a berry farm in the Vale of Evesham, Central England.
It’s run by south Asian farmers who say they face severe labour shortages.

My dad is a farmer, we prefer to pay less, thanks. We would like and need to leave a good amout of inheriatance money to our grandchildren/s. We dont want them to be poor like you. We can just stop growing, no problem for us, in the end you will be hungry and poor. Which do you prefer?

@@Niklez7 Im british and work in tescos, ill quit my job today to pick strawberries if they pay atleast £18ph. It's about pay not pride. £11.50ph is a lot in east europe and asia, it's not worth it in the UK.

I don't understand why the UK can't take in White Christian workers from the poorer parts of Europe. That way there won't be any dilution in the Caucasian demographic within England and farms would have adequate workers.
