Pretty much have the same sentiments for the design but bought one anyway. I don't like customizing but I hope Bandai does release some feasible designs after who knows when.
Yeah between the Pix and the UNI they have just been hideous with overall color combos and pattern designs 😅 At least the internal working partially makes up for it.
Actually Tamagotchi never had an on/off function as far as I know. Some of the older models have “pause” mode but never on/off so it’s just the way it is with Tamagotchi devices. The older models we had to physically remove the batteries to turn it off.
@@ichigirll Yes, I know. At least with older models we still can remove the batteries to get some rest and don't have to worry about damaging the device. The Uni really gets me nervous because I must not let the battery drains or it will be broken.
@@sarahnguyen3083 I know, it's frustrating. I just hit the reset button and let it go off by itself without ruining the battery. So the device now is wiped and back to factory setting before I put back to the box

I think they just decided to move away from kawaii pastel girlyness for this release, unfortunately. That stuff sells great in Japan but maybe they thought they should branch out for this global release. I don't agree but I can't see them releasing anything outside of maybe green, yellow, or white as they usually do. And they will all incorporate neon as the current releases have. A shame but the blue one is pretty cute

One of the main reasons I did not buy one. The color.
I mean you can modify it but I am not good at it so I prefer the Tama to have good colors from the get go 😉
