- In this video, I will explain These Three Kingdom Hearts Theories About "Smash Bros" & " Epic Mickey".
Today I have three little theories on the series and how other properties are related to it, and one about one if its own principle characters. I hope you all enjoy as I explain how Smash Bros ultimate an Epic Mickey are cannon to the kingdom hearts timeline.

I like to think epic mickey is an origin story of how Mickey met yinsid before mickey became a keyblade wielder.
That can work too, it could be both are true and this is his way to see if hed be a good apprentice in general before a weilder
Didn’t they already confirm epic Mickey to be a prequel of KH because it takes place a decade before birth by sleep and birth by sleep is a prequel to the KH franchise

This whole test thing really foreshadowing for when we find out that Sora didn’t disappear because of power of waking rules but because quadratum is really a 2nd mark of mastery and Yen Sid made him disappear to do the test. (This is a joke)

Seeing epic mickey canonically in KH could be groundbreaking since that would personally give more background to Mickey in this franchise, and characters such as: Oswald the lucky rabbit may be integrated in this series.
Besides, could you picture a Magic-brush keyblade could be playable? That would be terrific.
I actually have a keyblade concept and world idea setup for the holiday line up at the end of the year. And i agree seeing oswald in the series would be great, plus mickey needs more screen time
I was thinking what if Sora became a DLC for the epic Mickey game that they are remaking.
With that recent Nomura interview, 50/50 shot Smash is canon because of his obsession with the lore of the series.
Yeah i agree and im totally here for it
I can't think of too much to say for the first two, but for the Kairi one I did find it weird that she rarely does anything and is robbed of times when she could be good. She just looked liked the stereotypical girl in destress and isn't given much of a chance. I'm not sure the exact reason as to why but I feel like she lacks growth that the player sees. If there were more time were the player sees her train and fight and win without help then that would make her strength seem more deserved instead of "I did some mining off camera". Along with making her seem less helpless as in the foe is actually legitimately strong. MoM could had done something like this but they had her saved by Sora again. Perhaps she lacks confidence in certain moments and gives up when she could had recovered from the mistake and continue fighting as for one reason she seems so helpless all the time. Kairi is a character with a lot of potential but sadly that potential isn't utilized enough which is a shame since I do think it would be great if Kairi became "stronger". So in summary, Kairi isn't shown with enough in combat/meaningful moments to appear vital as a strong guardian of light and in character maybe lacks confidence. And her real weakness is plot.
Exsactly the plot keeps her away and ots just sad now at this point. Thats why i pitched the girl squad game thatd kick ass

Cool Video, as for what I think about those theories;
1. Digi-Sora in smash: while it is possible that it could be the case that the Smash Sora is Digi-Sora, but, it ain't the first time a smash character had given some characteristic you don't see in the original game, like Terry Bogard in one of his costumes, Terry has the metal plate from his OVA, Solid Snake has Naked Snake facial hair in MGS3, as well as some of his costumes, Sonic looks like a grown up classic Sonic with eyes and shoes from his modern version (And some dissapointing alt. costumes), and Wario despite him having his classic outfit as well as his apereance in Wario land, He's more based on Warioware, so, It would not be shocking that just turns out that Sora just has the costumes and some skills from other KH games because of some kid's imagination, but it could be the digi-sora.
2. Mickey's Mark of Mastery: It makes me wanna play the Epic Mickey Games all over again, it's Sad that Oswald is given the boot of oblivion once again, even after everything Disney did to get him back....and if I was making a rewritten KH story in general, I would definetly Add Oswald in the games. Even as a optional Boos Fight againts Mickey, have Mick bee the magical user while Oswald be the technological one, or heck, give the guy a keyblade similar for those keyblades based on technology like Tron, Big Hero 6 and Monsters INC.
3. Kairi's Hidden Potential: I still believe Kairi has potential as a fighter. Also, remeber Axel's line in KH3 Remind. "If Im a traitor, then I guess Kairi here is the trump card." and sure, it may be desperation like Saix said, just for Axel to try to get on his nerves or defend Kairi, but we gotta remember that Axel, train with Kairi, as stated in the original KH3, by Kairi herself, where She and Lea were training Time, did not really matter, as for Namine and Xion, well, it does explain Namine's magical base power, I mean she kinda one shoted replica Riku by a "Stop" Command, for Xion, well, She is a mystery on her own anyway, who knows, for all we Know, Xion, could in fact have the ability to copy other fighters, and even other organization members (Ok, Yes, I'm basing that last one on a MOD named KH3 Mod Project XIV, but come, that would be sick) or even other Nobodys or some enemies in a Brave Fencer Musashi and/or Samurai Legends Musashi fashion. Back on topic, let's just Hope we get to see more of Kairi, and see what she can do under Aqua's wing, sure would be neat.
1. Oh yeah im fully aware everyone has cosmetics and abilities that are kinda thrown togeather to make an amalgamation of that character, hell mario has mario maker as an outfit but he doesnt build with it, so yeah its probably the smash kids imagination but i like this idea because its just stupid enough to be cannon.
2. I miss the EM games they were so fun and weird, i played 1 last year and it still felt great to try and fix wastland and all that. I even want a kh world based on wastland and oswald is your party member with his own keyblade thats just the color inverse of mickeys current one (kinda what they did with the kingdom key and mickeys original variant). Oswald is such an underrated character and i wish this game got ported at least once.
3. Yeah thats a gopd point axel has spent more time with her and seen what shes capable of more so than the player, i just wish she could get more screen time to show it. Namine and xion too, i really hope they give us a kairi aqua game that'd be great
Old comment but about the 3rd point, Namine didn't use Stop or any magic on Repliku, she 'broke his heart' by suddenly removing the fake memories she was forced to give him iirc.
I think they were uding stop, not in like the kh1 magic sense, but more so a techy all stop function command sense
@@-memoria-2136 ah, so that's what she did. I thought that Naminé literally used a command, something like you order a dog to sit down for example or something like that. But then again, I don’t think thats how those kind of replicas work now that I think about it.

Bruh, I saw this in my recommended and had a ratatouille flashback to when I played Epic Mickey on my Wii as a kid. Maybe I’ll try it again…

My thing with the digi sora theory is, Digi-Sora can't use Magic Flash, a move that Sora does for his up-smash, plus the rising spiral seems to be referencing the KH3 version of the move, not to mention this Sora has been reverted to his KH1 state before in DDD, so for me I'd prefer this is the actual Sora before his fight with Yozora, since Sora was unconscious in the cutscene before the boss fight! Side Note: Also no data on DDD Sora was said to be gathered, plus when Sora picks up an item he goes into the Valor Form stance, which means SSBU Sora is a Sora that knows how to use Drive Forms at the very least
Or and hear me out, thats just how sora holds two swords? Idk i feel like this doesn't make sense because digi sora is made of data i even say they probably dumped new data in him. It makes more sense then sora regressing 2 years and changing clothes but still having a lot of them for some reason
Anything that connects three of my favourite (two of which being my actual 1st and 2nd favourite) games of all time is gunna get a win from me
I always interpretated the mark of mastery exam on 3D as a sort of "hey we need to lock the sleeping worlds aaaand Sora and Riku need their Mark of mastery exam, so we can make that their exam and kill two birds with one stone"

I thought Smash Sora is Post-Remind, Pre-Yozora Sora, de-aged because the world of Smash is a special one, forcing Sora to change into a more 'iconic' look.
I mean that could be plausible but i think my idea makes a tad more sense digi sora already looks like kh1 sora so that made things easier

Yeah but A that was a dream and B those were clothes. Wouldnt a data version of him being put into a video game make more sense instead of something that kinda doesnt line up. Because in order for that to make sense it would have to imply that remind isnt real and nothing after chain of memories isnt real since its kh1 sora as aposed to 2 sora that has an outfit for one or the same with 3 sora

I think the raft being next to Riku and kairis face in the smash stage is more of a Easter egg towards KH1 where they planned to leave the island on the raft
Thats true, but the station of awakening glass is more about what items or people matter to that person. The way fibder trio have each pmother and the way finder its self. Same with the sea salt trio and the icream it bonds them, but the raft is a thing they did once and it became meaningless after the islands fall. Yeah menories are important but i think having something else there would have been really cool. The raft makes sense for kh1 but its such a meme at this point i cant take it seriously you know

Dont say such wonderful things only to not have them manifest. I would like mickeys kh outfit or even the blsck cloak id buy that. Ooh maybe gibe oswald some for the cutscenes, thatd be a nice cherry on top.

Sora failed the exam because he didn’t leave the sleeping realm safely (and had the power of waking stripped from him). Sora Chose to dive deeper into sleep (as he revealed to Xigbar), and Yen Sid warned them not to do that, so he knows exactly why he failed.
He didnt exsactly choose he was just kinda forced since he wokr up. I know why he failed both narrativly and in a metta sense but i still dont like it all that much
@@ThinkBoxChris no, he clearly chose. Xigbar even mocked him for diving deeper into sleep. He could have used the power of waking to leave at any point. Sora wasn’t even trying to wake up, he was having dreams that felt needed answers.
As far as i knew that was him thinking that was part of the test.
random aside to the main point but the stained glass without donald and goofy isn't actually an original smash asset, interestingly enough. it's actually originally from a marketing campaign at the square enix cafes in tokyo and osaka in 2017, where people could get drink coasters with different characters dive to the heart stations but for whatever reason they didnt have the copyright to use the disney characters. the raft and paopu fruit images on sora's modified station specifically come from sora's heart station in birth by sleep when ventus visits it, which has some other weird images on there? i assume they just picked the ones that make the most general sense because the other images are like. harpoons, a spanner, some mushrooms. so yeah the de-disneyed image was presumably just supplied to nintendo by square enix

If smash is canon then having it be Data Sora makes the most sense. That said I am really not convinced that smash is canon or if it is then it really doesn't matter. Personally I am hoping that Data Sora and Data Riku become part of the Gummie Phone system instead. I way I could see it being hinted that Data Sora was in smash is if he is going to be part of finding the sleeping data world that the Dandelions are in. And if they had a storyline like that then they honestly could have done it without smash ever being a thing. Given the hints we have about Data Worlds.
As for the Wayfinder, and Sea Salt trios being known by Data Sora, well of course he knows them. He was given a copy of Roxas', Xion's, and Ventus' memories at the end of Recoded. Then told that the real Sora would be able to save the six of them, plus maybe Namine. I am actually more surprised that Namine isn't also a character, but then she really isn't a fighter.
Ok it is not Yen Sid's fault that DDD happened. He needed Sora to get the Power of Waking, and maybe Riku to but that is unclear because as far as I can tell Riku doesn't use it until KHMOM. Yen Sid needed Sora to get it because of Sora's as of yet unexplained power of naturally connecting his heart with other people, which even other wielders have a hard time doing if they can do it at all. He was going to send them into the Sleeping Realm to get the Power of Waking anyway, and had to go through some hoops to get them into that realm in the first place. Since it needed to get done, and they needed some kind of Mark of Mastery he had them do both at the same time.
As for why Aqua's and Terra's Mark of Mastery was so different. Being a Keyblade Master in the present day is purely a political title. It basically says this person can be in a leadership role, if their is a battle wielders obey the Masters around them. With an added bonus that Masters prove to be trustworthy and thus can be given harder missions. Honestly the only reason that Yen Sid named Riku a Master was because he needed someone to be a leader for all the new wielders, and he needed a mission partner for Mickey.
As for Epic Mickey, that sounds like great head Canon and from the sound of it really works. I doubt it will ever be talked about though. I would argue that it could have happened at any time. And I am not convinced that Mickey already had his Mark of Mastery before BBS.
If Kairi is the main love interest she is badly written. If she is a girl with a crush which is actively bad for her, her friends, and her crush and is on a negative character arc then she might actually be better written then people think. It's just hard to see how well she is written because everyone is trying to fit her into a square hole when she is a triangle.
I can honestly see Kairi going in three ways from here.
One she has just been badly written this whole time, which is odd because KH has really well written characters. She will have a whole game trying to fix her into someone well written. Most likely become a hero in her own right. Then they will either try to brush off the badness of having the main love interest completely change themselves to be with their crush, and ignore their other friends to chase after their crush. Which will lead to a rather sour romanic story between herself and Sora.
Two she is a well written character and during her game to become a hero in her own right she grows up and decides to let go of her crush which is actively hurting her as a person. Maybe even falling into a healthier relationship with someone else before the end of the story.
Three she is very well written and is on a negative character arc. She will continue to try and change herself into something she is not. She will try and fail and likely join sides with the foretellers, or some other villains.
I am waiting until the next game that has her in it. If she get's her own game maybe a three way party game with Aqua Terra, Kairi Ventus, Roxas Xion as the main parties each with their own story, then I will think it is one of the first two options. If Kairi doesn't get her own game then I am going to think my theory of her being on a negative character arc and maybe joining a villain group at some point is more likely.
As for Kairi being powerful. She might be. I do think her crush which is causing her to change who she is to the point that she has symbolically lost her white clothing which was her color, is stoping her from actually being powerful.
Yeah i can see where you're coming from, im not saying all of these are cannon but if i had to make them cannon this would be my route. Yeah digi sora isnt air tight, but its fun you know. The gummi phone thing would be super cute and they contextualize it in the main menu of the game, thatd be fun.
Two i say in the video the test backfired, it wasnt his fault but it happened, however he did set up a needlessly complicated task for them to complete and that was more my jumping off point. The only master to not do anything is yensid the other 3 we know of, mickey aqua ans riku do stuff yenny boy is the only one to sit and do nothing and thats because he served his time. Hell xheanort was still kickin literally to his dying breath. As for mickey not taking the test yet i get the feeling this teast was more about mickeys understanding of morals not a practical exame of skill. Like i said the test is about his morality, not to mention hes already faur enough inhis training he just tends to go against orders which both ven and terra do a lot as well but for difficult reasons. Yen sid even admirs that quality in ventus in birth by sleep.
Three, i highly doubt theyd let her go to the bad side even accidentally, i would love it so much if they did but i doubt it. I really do think hes going to stay at this level of side girl stapled to sora because hetero pairing until they rush her into having any more personality then "am girl" and "swings real good" and while yes i am boiling her down a lot its because there isnt a lot to go on shes just kinda there most the time. I want to like her and care what she does but given the track record im not hopeful. If she gets her own game ill be the first one to be fair to it, i just hope they let her devlope past being the love intrest because rikus already doing a fantastic job at it and has a fully devloped arch

@@ThinkBoxChris Hes another youtuber he made a really long series on a theory about phase 2 and how some older games have actually been saying everything about phase before our eyes. Nomura does plan things out decades in advance it seems

Even more for the SSBU Spirits being known by Data-Sora, his purpose is specifically to experience the "hurt" of those whose hearts are connected to Sora's, and we see them in Re:coded's late scenes. But, also, Re:coded's been mechanically relevant since KHUX.

@@ThinkBoxChris -- Before Re:coded, the relevant datascapes had been DiZ's Twilight Town and Space Paranoids, but then KHUX re:introduced Maleficent and ramped up the concept.

It's actually been proven that Mickey's visit to Daybreak town in Kingdom Hearts Union Cross was watched over by none other than one of the foretellers Invi but why Invi well think about it Oswald was always jealous of Mickey for the fame the glory the love Etc so what if invi went to track down Mickey for him or bring Mickey to Daybreak town just so Oswald could kill him think about it think about it now the were in the post Xehanort's Saga Mickey could have accidentally created a time paradox when he was trying to visit Scala ad Caelum after Melody of memory, or he could have just traveled through Time by accident during the events before Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and after the events of Epic Mickey either way you all know what the name Invi means in Latin do you that's right it means Envy which means jealousy

Amiibos my dude amiibos solve everything, but in all honesty i just assumed that at this point in the series the kid had moved on to be a programer or something like that to acommintadte the change from say melee to here.
And if im being truly honest the lore of smash didnt factor in at all i forgot its lore was even a thing till right now
